On March 14th, I requested service at the Jiffy Lube site located at 143 S West End Blvd, Quakertown, PA 1895 to address an illuminated check engine light. I thought that my spark plugs needed to be changed based on previous evaluations by mechanics at this same Jiffy Lube and mechanics at another auto repair shop in Philadelphia. Soon after my car began being serviced at this shop, I asked what the price of the work would be. After being given the price, I commented that it was a different price than what was quoted to me during a previous visit. A little bit after I said that, I heard the manager say to someone, "I want her gone!" I responded with something like, "What? You want me gone because I am questioning the price?" The manager responded that he did not mean it that way. It is just that the shop was very busy at that time and he wanted to get my car worked on as soon as possible since there were other cars behind mine. The manager of this Jiffy Lube shop worked on my car for approximately 45 minutes, but I was charged for 2.5 hours of work. When my car was returned to me, the check engine light was still on. No mechanic said anything to me about the fact that the check engine light was still on before delivering my car back to me. Before driving off, I noticed that the check engine light was still on. So, I returned back to the shop and informed the shop employees that the light was still on. The manager and another mechanic brought the code machine back out, supposedly hooked it back up to the car, and did some fiddling underneath the car's dashboard. I was told that the codes were cleared--although I did not see clearly that this was indeed indicated on the code machine--and the manager told me that either the check engine light will disappear eventually after I drive it around or that there was a problem with my sensor. After driving my car around for a few days, the check engine light had still not turned off. On Saturday, March 21st I returned to this Jiffy Lube store. One mechanic told me that they would be willing to "replace the spark plugs that had been [supposedly] put into my vehicle" by the manager on March 14th at no cost to me because they might be faulty. I agreed for that work to be performed. At least one mechanic began working on my car at 2:00 pm. By 3:30pm, two mechanics had been working on the vehicle, and I was requested by one of them to turn my car on. He told me that my check engine light should disappear because all 6 of the previous spark plugs had been replaced. He also did a check of the engine for codes with a hand-held machine. The misfiring code continued to come on, however, and the check engine light was still illuminated. I discussed what might be wrong with my car with one of the mechanics. I was told that now that problems with the spark plugs could be ruled out, the issue might be that there is something wrong with the check engine light sensor or that there might be something wrong with the ignition coils. I was told by one of the mechanics that the 6 spark plugs that were removed were definitely old. I asked him to give me the spark plugs that he had removed. He gave them to me. He showed me the spark plug that had been removed from the 6th cylinder--which was the one that was showing the misfiring on the code machine. He said something to the effect that that particular spark plug was clearly damaged and corroded. He told me that all 6 spark plugs had all been changed out. I asked, "How old do you think the spark plugs are?" I do not remember his exact response, but based on his response, I do not believe the spark plugs that were removed were installed on March 14th, when the manager worked on my vehicle; but had been in my vehicle for quite some time before. I do not believe that my spark plugs were ever changed out during my visit to Jiffy Lube on March 14th based on the condition that I saw of the spark plugs that were removed from my vehicle during my visit to the shop on March 21st. I still have the spark plugs that were returned to me by the mechanics on March 21st. One of the mechanics stated clearly to me that the spark plugs he was giving to me were removed that afternoon from my vehicle. The idea that I spent almost $600 on March 14th to have 6 spark plugs replaced with new ones, but never had them replaced is upsetting. Also upsetting is the fact that I was charged for 2.5 hours of labor by the manager on March 14th, when no more than 45 minutes was spent working on my car and the work requested was not done. This is unethical. I plan to file a consumer complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the State Attorney General's Office about this matter. Be careful here. They messed up my oil change, which is fine mistakes happen, if fixed quickly no real harm done. And they did the right thing to call me and let me know! However, when I said that I would drop by the next day for them to fix it they said they would not do it for free. I did not expect that, but to insult me further, they offered me 10% off the price for them to fix the problem they had done. I can't trust a business that will not fix their own mistakes. read more

Drew, Khalil and the crew were fantastic. Local traffic actually delayed my arrival and I ended up being the last customer of the day before they closed. They could not have been more pleasant. The workers are are knowledgeable and the service is fast, but the prices are outrageous. Especially in to today's economy when gas is $5/gallon! Trying to charge be like $110 for a simple oil change? NO THANKS! Went right up the road to Midas and it only cost me $70 for the exact same thing. read more

Oof. The definition of the word jiffy is "a moment". That is not accurate for this experience. I have never come here before and won't be back. The customer service lead was nice and professional in the beginning. She asked if I wanted to wait in my car. Maybe I should have in hindsight as waiting in lobby seemed to allow for much more relaxed workers. At one point there were three around my car at once and the customer lead was sitting in my driver's seat laughing and joking. After an hour and 35 mins and seeing the guy right ahead of me long gone and now the woman after me leaving I asked how much longer? Also, minutes before 2 of the guys I saw around my car are now behind the counter and I told them which car is mine and they said "oh so and so is on that car." And walked away. Finally they said it was done when I came out to check. Lead apologized and took $15 off my bill. I get in my car and another mechanic says "oh let me make sure the maintenance required light is out." I said it wasn't. He and the lead tried for five minutes even consulting YouTube. I said to let it go I would figure it out when I got home. (Which I did after consulting YouTube myself in a matter of 30 seconds). I have tried to be as patient as possible during these pandemic times but to see a bunch of people just taking their own sweet time and joking while I waited within sight is disappointing. So if you are expecting a "Jiffy lube" as the name implies prepare to be disappointed. Thanks but no thanks. I miss Jack Williams; wish they hadn't gone out of business. read more

So over the course of the last few weeks, Jiffy Lubes manager and also store manager has contacted me about my experience. They have put in a great effort to rectify the situation and make me feel satisfied with a solution. The store manager contacted me and offered me a few free oil changes for my trouble. I requested a refund of the oil change instead. Not sure if they would come through on their end, but a few weeks later a received a check in the mail for what I paid for the oil change. I commend Jiffy Lube for fixing the situation. They did their best to come to a fair and reasonable solution. read more

At least every other month I stop into Jiffy Lube for an oil change. They have consistently provided fast quality service. The average time I've spent waiting is around 20-25 minutes and many times I've been in and out in less than 15 minutes. Do realize they are trained to asked you about doing every service and replace ever filter your car has, so be prepared to say no a lot. I have had them do more complicated services (i.e. fuel flush) and the price was pretty good. The only negative experience I've had was a very long wait (i.e well over an hour) when I was told it would be about 30-45 minutes. On a positive note the manager did recognize the long wait and knocked off $10 from my bill. This, unlike some other Jiffy Lube's I've been to, is reputable and well managed. read more

Never Again... I've never been to a Jiffy Lube before this one and I can't say that I ever will again...I usually have my auto mechanic change my oil or a quick lube style place near me that's not a chain, but I was traveling this past month with my car and needed one, so I stopped here... One nice fellow greeted me, but was unable to really help in any way...He was apparently the 'Greeter'...Lamest job in the world and completely useless...But, OK...I can live with that... But when I drove into the place, the guys weren't as professional or qualified as I had hoped... All I wanted was an oil change and a filter change, but I got way too many upsells to elective services that I didn't want and told multiple times how to care for my car - it was rather patronizing...If the car needs a trans fluid change, tell me - but don't just assume that it does...Don't let the faded paint and rusted roof rack fool you, my car has 350,000 miles on it because I know how to care for it... The guy standing at the computer tried very hard to get me on a mailing list...But since I don't live anywhere near this area, I refused...This really confused him...If you really need to put this in the computer, put John Doe, 143 Rt 309 (the address of the shop) - after me threatening to leave, he agreed to put that in... Then I got the bill...$75!..For a friggin' oil change?!? My guy in Jersey charges $29.99!.. It's not like I got Mobil1 or some other kind of high end oil... Holy Cow!.. Never Again!.. read more

Until recently, I was a loyal customer of the other "boys" in town. I was in need of an oil change so I decided to try Jiffy Lube. I pulled around back and was greeted by Sean who then escorted me to a very clean waiting room. After a few minutes, I saw my SUV pulling in and then Bonnie came into the waiting room to get me. I thought that something was wrong, but she just needed some information and wanted to know what I needed done. She gave me my choice of oil, she showed me the nasty cabin air filter that they pulled out and reminded me that I had a headlight out. Now, the "boys" had told me that it was going to cost $150 to replace one headlight bulb in my GMC. They were going to have to take the bumper and grill off to get to it. Not true. You go through the wheel well, Sean got it done in about 10 minutes. Long story short, I got my oil changed, a new headlight bulb, a new air filter, my fluids topped off and I walked out spending only $106. I am very happy with my service today and think I have found my new home for oil changes and more! read more

Went to this Jiffy Lube on August 21st, of 2015, shortly after they opened. I just got done checking how dirty my oil was, so I figured I needed a oil change. Truth is (manager) Bonnie and the rest of the staff seemed very nice, although, I hate the continuance attempts to up sell everything. After the oil change I literally came out to a car, that had the cables hanging down (the ones connected to open the hood). I asked them to fix it, to no avail, and was brushed off with a Matt Weachter (DM) will call you back. Took my car back to the mechanic and was told someone had to have pulled on the cords to break it. NEVER AGAIN! read more

I usually Change my own oil, but with my new car I need to have proof of oil change to keep my warranty. When I pulled up to this jiffy lube they waved me into the line of cars behind the garage and then stood over me awkwardly until I got out then ushered me into a room without asking any questions or giving further instruction. When I asked if I could leave to go have lunch and come back the mechanic gave me an attitude and asked me berry few questions and offered no help when I wanted advice on the type of oil I wanted. Love this place! Youre in and out in 15min or less. Everyone is super friendly too! You pull your car around back, a person comes to greet you and escort you to the waiting area where there is coffee and tv. They then pull your car in and vacuum the rugs, clean the windows, check windshield wipers, check fluid levels and filters and offer to replace anything you need! This is my go-to place for a quick oil change! read more

Had been going to a few local independently owned places nearby but after being unable to make an appointment with them I decided to go out on a limb and try jiffy lube in Quakertown. I was so pleasantly surprised! Every one of the men working were polite, professional and took the time to explain what they felt needed to be done with my vehicle. I never felt pressured to have any services that were unnecessary. The waiting room was warm and VERY CLEAN. I plan on returning for my vehicle maintenance needs! I brought my car in for a simple oil change, when I got back in my car there were oily/greasy handprints EVERYWHERE...steering wheel, drivers side door handle, center console, glove compartment, and passenger side door handle. I called to complain and was assured that it would never happen again and was given a 20% discount on my next oil change...also a sincere apology. HOWEVER, I returned 8 days later with my husband's car for an oil change and THE EXACT SAME THING HAPPENED. Oily/greasy handprints everywhere. Totally unacceptable. I needed a oil chage quickly and did not want to wait to schedule an appointment at the dealer so I decided to give this Jiffy Lube a try. When I pulled in I was greeted by a group of employees instructing me to pull up to the service bay entrance. When I opened the door, I was asked what they could do for me today and I told them I wanted ONLY an OIL CHANGE and OIL FILTER. I was asked to follow the employee to a waiting room and someone would be with me shortly... The was very uncomfortable and awkward feeling. In a few minutes another employee came into the room and asked me to follow her to give her some information on the car service today. They wanted my name, address, tel@, etc and then STARTED an UNCOMFORTABLE UPSELL even though I told them when I first arrived that I ONLY wanted an Oil Change and Oil Filter.. The UPSELL continued... First, did I want Synthetic or Semi-Synthetic Oil, BECAUSE I HAVE A TURBO, and that is what is ALWAYS recommended! I told them that my car company does NOT recommend Synthetic oil and that I only want the same type oil that the dealer puts in when I have them change the oil! NOW, I started to get some ATTITUDE from the girl trying to upsell me. She now changed her story from it is always recommended in Turbo engines to... They dont tell us what type oil they recommend, only the viscosity! Now, I'm starting to get really pissed! After trying again to UPSEL the oil to Synthetic, I told her emphatically that I only wanted CONVENTIONAL OIL as I change it every 3000 miles. After she showed me that she was iratated that I did not bite on the oil UPSELL she switched gears. Here is the part that I really almost lost it on... She now points down to a counter where there are two air filters... She then proceeded to tell me that these were MY FILTERS that they actually REMOVED FROM MY CAR WITHOUT MY PERMISSION! They removed the Engine AIR FILTER and the CABIN AIR FILTER!!! The vehicle only had 9000 miles and was 4 months old! I told her to put the filters back and that I did not give permission to remove any parts from my car! Without batting an eye, she asked me if I wanted my wiper blades changed. I told her to stop and just do what I told her I wanted done. NEXT, she pulled out a phamplet with a checkmark on it telling me that I should have my fuel injectors cleaned with an additive that they had. Again I said ONLY WHAT I ASKED YOU TO DO! To mu ammazement, she then said that my engine coolant needed to be toped off and that it was $4.00 to do it! I almost exploded at this point! I simply said GET MY CAR DONE! This was INSANE... If you ever go here HOLD ONTO YOUR WALLET!!! NOW, here is the kicker... I immediately left and called the dealer and asked if I should be using a synthetic or synthetic blend of oil in my car... He told me that it WAS NOT RECOMMENDED BY THE MFG!!! Part of there service package that I paid for was cleaning the exterior windows and vacuming the interior carpet... THEY DID NOT DO EITHER!
