I would like to start with I had my very pregnant wife with me during this interaction. Brought my car in for inspection, passed, went to leave the lot, I hear clicking when my tires rotate, I immediately pull over to find what I know for sure and have a photo of is a T30 screw and washer the exact kind and color that hold my heat shield on. Didn't even get out of the lot I back up and inform the assistant manager John that I think they ran over some hardware while it was in the shop and he went out and look at my tire and said "that's a Phillips head and I don't have a single one of those in my shop" (I am a fabricator and I've never seen a shop without the most common screw in the world not to mention that's not even what was in my tire) I then told him I already looked at it and I know that's not what it was and I asked if I could get it put on the lift. He got increasingly defensive and insisted it was impossible that it could have happened in his shop instead of suggesting it could have been possible I ran something over in the parking lot which he did later (his parking lot he is responsible to keep free of debris) we exchanged some choice words, and he refused me service. I begin to put my spare on in the lot, and he comes back out and tells me to go to the mavis a mile down the road store 1389 and that they will patch my tire. I drove there and was completely flat by the time I got there and that store was extremely kind. However, sending me on the road with my pregnant wife was insane if I lost enough air I could have lost the tire in a turn. I never write poor reviews, but this was the worst customer service of my life. The only reason he found a solution was because my wife got him freaking out on video. read more

extremely high prices for all types of work. Poor quality tires that were more affordable yet shredded quickly.

Excellent experience! We're very grateful for excellent and very efficient service - even on a Sunday afternoon with almost no advance notice. I also appreciate thorough explanations of findings with professional counseling on risks & benefits of management options. Well done read more

Tire was losing air slowly. Originally took it to Monro down the block where they told me they needed to replace the tire for $300. Mavis found a nail and removed it for $26. THAT! is how you build a customer base! Thank you. read more

2022 I bought 4 tires, they installed them poorly balanced, I complained and they fixed the balance work. 2023 I bought 2 tires and they were installed incorrectly balanced, I had to complain again. I do not doubt that the Mavis company has good objectives but some workers do not fulfill their obligations. I'm talking about Mavis located at 7720 main st, Fogelsville, PA 18051 read more

I was there for about 2 hours on a very busy Saturday for an oil change that was complicated when they found that the housing for my oil was damaged from when it was changed before and needed to be replaced. They did not have the housing in their store, but they ordered it on the spot and it arrived fairly quickly. While I was there that whole time, the staff was very very professional and friendly. They helped people who walked in with an urgent issue and tried to accommodate them as much as possible. They even went out of their way to collaborate with another less busy shop in the area for someone who needed their tires changed ASAP. They also provided frequent updates to their waiting costumers. These despite the fact that they were busy! I'm always nervous to go to these places for car issues as I know virtually nothing about cars. I'm always afraid that they may take advantage of my lack of knowledge and try to sell me things I don't really need. That being said, I've been to this shop a total of 2 times now since moving in the area 3 years ago. The first time I went, I remember liking the experience a lot that I thought to come back. Stupidly though, I went to a Midas last year for reasons i don't even remember anymore. That was obviously a mistake. I highly recommend this place. I never once thought they took advantage of me (I hope not at least), they are very friendly and they won't make you feel like you should know more about cars. He gave me a discount too! Make sure to reserve a spot online though! It can get very busy. The online reservation is very very user friendly! I was able to reserve a spot a day before. read more

Horrible service. I was not happy with the service I received. I bought 4 new tires and I am not happy with the outcome. They left my car hood open when I received the car after the work was done. I had to put air in ALL FOUR tires RIGHT after I left the place. Horrible customer service. Would NOT recommend. read more

Happy with service at Mavis Lehigh St location Knowledgeable staff and fast friendly service Although my car did not pass inspection because of my worn tires, I was able to return with new tires that were not purchased there and they were very accommodating to install and balance my new tires. I returned a few weeks later to replace two tires on my truck too! Nokians Rock! I will definitely return for future tire mounting and inspection needs on my vehicles. Thank you read more

Mavis Discount Tire - Tires Near Me - Allentown, Pennsylvania

See all

Service at the Allentown, PA location used to be top notch. Not anymore! I also noticed post it notes at the registers that read MAKE THE SALE!!. Give better service and the sales will follow. Would not recommend the Allentown or the Trexlertown locations. read more

I scheduled an appointment to have tires put on. Showed up that day to a shit show inside. The guy in front of me was there for tires too and they never ordered them. It's my turn give them my info that Don t have my tires either. How the duck does that happen? The guy ruining the shop David is a complete ass and rude as hell. He tells me to call on Monday to see if he ordered them and then my price got jacked up by 100 bucks! No apologies no nothing. I went to another Mavis location for my tires and got them and for a 150 less ! David needs help at this location or retire! read more

Just want to thank Fernando for taking the time to look at my Honda and assess the problem I was having. He helped do a quick fix due to some bolts missing. They did a great job fixing my car and keeping me updated the whole time. It was a lot of work that needed to be done and they had it done quickly. The manager, Rob is great with calling and going over everything that needs to be done and keeping the price the same as he quotes. I would give them 5 stars and will definitely come for all our cars repairs and maintenance. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. These people are total scam artists. Took my car to get inspected and I had to return after a light reset. I had to come back 3 times in the same week because the mechanic wasn't there. On the third visit a code kept coming up but they didn't have the proper tools to figure out why. Now I am out all that money and 3 days of my time wasted with a 'that isn't out problem' I plan to take this further because these practices are not up to standards. How can you run emissions and state inspections if you don't have all the equipment and tools to diagnose and fix the problem. Will not be returning for any reason at all. read more

Terrible customer service. I've been her 4 or 5 times over the last 18 months. There is never the same person twice. Employee turnover is a big problem. There is no customer loyalty or familiarity. There is no caring or relationship. I called to see if they could take my car this afternoon. We took it there for some tires and oil change. Left the car for 3 hours and they never even touched it. We were told it would take two hours. When I asked the desk guy he said were backed up and that just the way it is. Well I'll never go back -- THATS JUST THE WAY IT IS. read more

They did a great job balancing my new tires after a different business did it wrong. They worked On my car right away and had me back on the road in no time. Very happy with the customer service. read more

Terrible experience all around. First things first when picking my car up it stunk like Marijuana like someone just smoked a joint inside it. Secondly they did a regular oil change on my car after telling them I didn't need one. I alread had a synthetic oil change done a week or so prior from a different mechanic. After speaking with the Regional Manager/ Owner Tony, he proceeded to disrespect me and claim none of this happen and then hung the phone up on me. read more

Top notch customer service, fast and good tire services. I went there on A Sunday to check out some tires as I needed to replace all 4. I wasn't entirely sure what to choose but their sales/front desk rep (wish I knew his name!) was extremely helpful and made the whole process so smooth. I was in an nd out in about 1 hour and 30 min, without appt and with a few other people getting various services as well. Overall, I would highly recommend them! Of course, making an appointment may be a better option, but kudos to the fast and courteous service even without an appointment. read more

I had a tire blow on I-78 in Allentown, PA. I am 75 years old. A unknown man stopped and assisted me. He told me about Mavis Discount Tires (right after the "Ford" dealership. I "limped" into Mavis. Jared checked around and found that the Ford dealership had the tires I needed. I decided to get four new tires because I had purchased the tire that blew only two weeks before and didn't trust them on my trip back to Florida. When the tire was removed--I was shown the additional damage to brake lines and shock absorbers due to the blowout. Note that I came there without an appointment and they are very busy. Somehow--they were able to get the necessary parts and stayed late -- the other manager, Rob, actually got the job done when the employee that was working on my car finished his shift. Even in my younger days when I worked on my own cars--I wouldn't have been able to fix what Rob did for me. Thanks again Mavis Discount Tires for being there for me and especially to Rob and Jared. read more

Sharon T., thank you for the suggestion and your concern. Too bad, that not everyone within your company values customer service as you do. I did call the number you listed and gave a brief recount along with the fact that you had advised I call. A short time after, I received a call back from the same Regional rep. with whom I spoke before. He asked if I had the rotors replaced and if it fixed my issues. I told him yes and that it did. I then asked him why the techs at this location could not tell me that they were "warped" in my TWO visits after having the issues? His response was that they did tell me to replace them. I said, yes they did, however they said it was due to being rusty and nothing more. Again, his response was that they advised replacing them so they did their job. I then pushed a little and asked what if I had paid to have the trans mount and even the axles replaced (which are perfectly fine) but still had the issues? He didn't have an answer and it further proved my feeling that customer service is not a top priority. read more

Very disappointed in my experience this afternoon. I scheduled an appointment online 2 weeks ago for a 4-tire change. Knowing that I was coming in, why would the technicians wait until my arrival to check if they even had the tires in inventory? Which, of course, they did not... they were short by one. I was offered another tire of slightly lesser quality for the same price. Not sure why I would pay that for less quality, but it would have solved the immediate issue. But then he proceeds to tell me that even though I have an appointment, he hopes I'm not in a hurry because there are only two technicians working and they're already behind schedule. I'm a little confused on the purpose of an online scheduling system, if it cannot address any of your customers needs. Very disappointed, and will never utilize the services of Mavis again. read more

DO NOT. I repeat. DO NOT go to this place. By far the worst customer service I have ever received. It took SIX hours to do an inspection, even though I was told to drop off my car three hours before my apt time. I especially enjoyed the creepy guy at the register (his name is Mike) who refused to call me by my name and kept referring to me as 'darling'. Only my boyfriend can get away with that buddy. Stop being a perv. The best is that they informed me that my rear breaks had less then twenty percent wear and tear. Yeah. Ok. I am now at another mechanics getting those breaks replaced, they are completely worn down. And it's been about a month. What a bunch of incompetent idiots. Can't wait to see this place go out of business. Wonder what else they missed during there 'inspection' read more

A simple oil change and I was in and out. Much better than the competition, where I wait in line longer than it took Mavis.

I had an issue with a flat tire on the highway and I called Mavis once my spare was put on. They were courteous from the phone call to the visit. Everything was finished in a very professional and timely manner and the staff was respectful. I mostly dealt with Brandon and he was a very prompt and kept me informed throughout the whole process. read more

Stay away from here. If I could give it 0 stars I would. I took my car there to top off the oil. They put 5 quarts in and charged me $56.90 and I left. I drove about 2 miles and my car completely died, I called them immediately and was told my the same "nice" man who waited on me 'is not their problem go to the car dealer.' I had it towed and the dealer checked it out. Not only did they put in 5 quarts, which was too much and this did damage to my engine. The dealer siphoned out 3 quarts and it was still showing completely full! As a result of their wonderful work, my engine is shot and I need a new engine. I called corporate and talked to district manager, Lou, who told me they would take no responsibility as it wasn't their problem. So...I am out the money for the oil they put in and now I have to spend about $6;000 for a new engine. What a great place! read more

My girlfriend went to figure out why her car wasn't starting and to get the car inspected. After 2 days they said the car is inspected, starts and holds a charge. After having it parked outside our house for 1 day we tried to start it and it didn't start. We paid $700 in total because they found a rear suspension issue that they told her had to be corrected in order for the car to pass inspection. Essentially they did nothing to alleviate the initial problem that brought the car there in the 1st place. We had to have the car towed back to Mavis. After an hour they said it looks fine and that they're not electricians. We had to argue with them for another half hour to get them to give us a new battery. I still don't know how a car that doesn't start passed inspection. We will never go there again. Did I mention they charge $117/ hr. for labor? They are not STS tire. I had good experiences when dealing with them. read more
