It's sad. I have been taking my cars here for years. This time I had a bad experience. Had an oil change and at the recommendation of the tech I had the air filter replaced too. Short story, they overfilled the old and it was spilling out everywhere. All over my driveway too. I went back and they drained the excess out. I've been a customer here for over 20 years. When Covid started and masks were required, none of the employees wore masks or cloves. No problem. Their choice and I went somewhere else. After I was vaccinated I felt comfortable going back. Now because I'm past due for the booster and high risk, I'm concerned for people following the rules. I'm sitting in the small waiting room and after having been in there a few minutes a man ask them if they have a mask for his son. They said no. Then I said, "Have you been vaccinated?" He said no. Then he spent 10 minutes bitching at me because I asked him a question he said he did not have to answer. I said then just say that and don't bitch at me because you answered. Pretty simple! Then he goes outside bitching to the employees about how vaccinated people have more right than non-vaccinated people. Neither the business nor the customers follow the rules evidently. They just lost a 20 year customer. read more

Visited 3/30/2018 I had a super busy weekend planned, short on time, and in DESPERATE need of a oil change. I had called Modesto Auto Masters and was told that the wait time was 45 minutes however when I went to drop off my car like 10 minutes later, I was told that they were actually all booked up. Called Jiffy Lube and they told me they were first come first serve but if I got my car in by 5:30 they would take me. I left work a little bit early thinking I would have to wait but they got me in and out within 20 minutes. I was actually able to go back to the office to get some stuff done before I headed back to Tracy. Service was excellent, I'll be returning back to them for my next oil change. read more

Very impressed with this place. My car was oil sensor told me oil change and as due. They informed me that I still had about 4K miles before I needed to get oil changed. Just topped my fluids off and sent me on my way. They didn't charge me for something I didn't need. Not something you come across these days. Definitely will be back. read more

It's a really sad state when the customer has to break the ice because the cashier says nothing. Then he gets on his cell phone and texts someone while we're waiting for the chip reader. What a joke, I will take my 41.99 Oil change elsewhere. The tech that did the car was very nice and efficient. The cashier needs some people skill or maybe a little focus on the customer. Unhappy. Today I went to get an oil change at this location. I had an email with a coupon for a 4th of July promotion for 40% off any oil change. I've had very good experiences with the Turlock jiffy lube so I expected the Modesto location would be equivalent. Wrong. When I pulled in the worker stated my car took premium oil which I already knew, and he stated the cheapest version was $59 and I said that would be fine. He took my car right away and the oil change itself was no more than 30 minutes. When the cashier rung me up, he stated it would be $93. I was obviously surprised. I questioned the price and he said $59 would have been for a mixed blend but they used full synthetic which cost more- I told him that was not the agreement and he offered no help. I then asked to use my 40% off coupon and the cashier stated they did not accept that coupon at their location and again offered no help. Never in my life have I been charged almost $100 for an oil change... definitely not going back to this location. read more

Just had a flat tire and had both my kids with me. The awesome staff at jiffy lube put my spare on for me and made sure u could make it to a nearby tire shop....such awesome people I'm always impressed by them! Thanks guys! read more

Been going here for years, always happy with the service until... their machine charged my debit card seven times for the same service and then only credited my account five times.. called and talked to both manager and owner of the franchise and was told by both of them that "there was nothing they could do about it", they accused me of being dishonest..even after I offered to show them my bank papers they said the system never makes a mistake.. and they almost had me in tears I was so mad by the end of the conversation. Will never go back there again. Went to my bank.. they straightened everything out for me.. gave me my money back and took matters into their own hand.. whatever that was.. thank god I have a great credit union. I was able to leave the next day on my vacation with my fifty dollars.. which came in handy. read more

I was able to get the oil change during my lunch. The customer service was good and will return back for my next oil change.

Took my bmw to this place because the dealership was way to busy. Quick oil change in about 15mins. Never had any oil leaks. About a week later I'm drive home from the Bay Area and a warning light comes on and a message telling me I have low oil and If u don't turn my car off and add oil that it could do damage to my car. Now it's costing me $500 bucks to fix things they messed up on. The oil filter was wrong oil all over my engine didn't put the drain screw in right so the whole time I was leaking oil and didn't know it. Don't really complain but just curious on why would a oil changing business be so careless on something they do all day long. Paid $120 for a oil change the dealer does it for $79. This place sucks wish I took names to tell my fellow yelpers the heads up. read more

Went to Jiffy Lube for an oil change for the first time in Stockton and had a wonderful experience. Very friendly staff, didn't try to upsell anything, and was out in fifteen minutes. Modesto Jiffy Lube was similar experience. Went back asking about maintenance on my car. The mechanic was upfront and honest with me and said most of the work wasn't necessary yet but he would still do it if I wanted. I've only had good experiences at JL and I'll keep coming back. read more

The worst customer service. I had to ask if they changed my air filter and the mechanic shrugged his shoulders while the other employee said they didn't carry my model when it wasn't check in the first place. I understand all jiffy lubes are (or may be) independently owned but used that as an excuse to not thoroughly check my vehicle. read more

I have been coming to this station for years now and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The only thing is they do not honor the discounted coupons that are advertised out on the internet. They have a sign posted in the lobby. When I asked the manager, Justin why they are advertised as such, he said, he has no clue and that he has tried himself to have the coupons removed. I contacted the Customer Service Department to raise the issue with them, Email: customerservice@jiffylube.com Phone: +1-800-344-6933, and the gal i spoke with Veronica, said somebody would contact me in 3 days. Well, this did not happen. Then she said, call their corporate team at 209-578-5823 referring to your case number 188728. This is a joke - this is the service stations number? I was like really! I've been coming here for years and never once have I ever been disappointed... I know that when I come here I will get quality service and friendly service. I am a female and sometimes I feel like I cannot trust certain places to touch my car because I'm not very knowledgeable about my car and I'm fearful that I might get taken advantage of... But every single time I come here to get my oil changed they give me honest feedback and cost-effective solutions to help keep my car in great shape. It's not very often that you can walk into an establishment and they recognize you and almost know you by name... That's a Class Act and very hard to find nowadays. read more

Yesterday, I rushed in to town to get an oil change. I was relieved that I made it on time to catch them open [it was 5:23 p.m.]. I was approached by an employee, there were 3 cars in the lane and they only had one lane open. The employee let me know that they could not take me as they already had 3 cars and by the time they would finish it would be 6 p.m. I was a little annoyed because of how much time was still left but I said "okay" and drove off. I went across the street the grab dinner for my family.... as I'm waiting for our dinner, I look across the street and one car was already gone and the 2nd car was pulling out. I got in my car and the time was 5:38 p.m. and the last car was leaving. They quickly shut the doors and were done for the day. Unbelievable!! I wondered if the last car was an employees because of how quick it was in and out. I couldn't believe that they turned me away. Just frustrating. read more

Horrible service, would not fix their unprofessional work, and damaged my vehicle. Was short on time and decided to get my oil changed in between Christmas shopping for the holidays(12/13/18). I usually do my own oil change for all my vehicles as I have worked for several Lube shops myself. I noticed oil spots outside of my home, and my oil level was down after less than a week. I called in they said to bring it in when I get the chance. I got under my vehicle and noticed my original drain plug was missing and was replaced by a new one(wrong size) then was smeared in what looked to be a sealant. I brought my vehicle in and immediately was told that they don't do that kind of work there and accused me of tampering with the drain plug myself. Manager was rude, who then called the store owner and told me whoever changed the oil before them damaged it (a typical response to pass the blame) when I told the owner I change my own oil on all of my personal vehicles. He pointed the finger at me and said I must've damaged it. Then went on to insult my intelligence asking if I know how to change oil, why would I come to Jiffy Lube. I am a single father of 2 (my kids were actually sitting in the car) so taking time to change oil is a bit difficult while feeding, changing diapers, and playing with an 11 month old. I then told them I just want it fixed, it is not very difficult job (since I've actually done these types of fixes myself working for Lube shops) store owner then told me no and they will not do anything to my vehicle, not even top off the oil which is part of then service I paid for. The owner then goes out of his way to call other Modesto Jiffy Lube locations ordering to not top off my oil as well. I asked my my money back since they are refusing service and was told to get off the lot and when calling in was hung up as well. I don't understand what I had to gain for tampering with my own vehicle?? There is no logical reason for me to put sealant over someone else's work. They were obviously covering up, whether or not the owner approved of this horrible work, he was in no way shape or form going to help me from his employees damage to my vehicle. This review is for Jiffy Lube 5464 Floren Rd. Sacramento California I had an accident on the freeway just off their exit. I needed a safe place to put my car for a couple hours. Entire staff took me in as if I was family. They said the place that I parked it was not the best place where they can watch it for me. They were very concerned about my health and I wasn't injured. Took my daughters car here. They messed with the battery. Her car was dead the next morning and when my hudband popped her hood the cables were loose and he tightened them. When she drove that day the aidle was off and almost stalled her car several times. We took it to the shop and they ran a dionostic and reset the aidle. Said the only way that could happen is if someone unplugged the battery. Charged me $75, I took the invoice in to Jiffy Lube and the manager instantly became defensive and said its impossible that his guys wouldnt have touched the battery. He was so confident that couldnt happen that he didnt want to listen to my story. He was unprofessional and threw his hands up and said "are you kidding me" and starting turning red in the face and shaking really bad. I will never go back. read more

hoooorible experience today on martin luther king day .. (how ironic). went in to have my fluid levels checked. however i was bamboozled into having an oil change against my wishes. they drained my oil from my car without my permission!!! then the red-headed manager guy (don't hold the red hair against him) yelled at me and got in my face and yelled some more and caused quite a scene!! all because they had already drained the oil and were prepping my car for services i did not ask for. he kept telling me what i said to the intake guy and accused me of lying, said i wasn't even a customer and in the 8 years he had been there no one had ever just showed up to ask for fluid levels to be checked without being a customer (he wasn't there how would he know?) my response to him was it's your responsibility to let me know what your policies and procedures are. how would you know i'm not a customer unless you ask?? (luckily for me i had a lawyer on the phone while this occurred, so i have a credible witness.) the man yeeeellled at me in front of the entire staff and whatever customers that were there. whaaaaat???! veeery unprofessional. i feel assaulted and insulted. read more
