Nicholas greeted me, super friendly and got me set up to get an oil change. When I was done Jamie was at the register and was super nice as well and informative. Nicholas had mis informed me about a discount code about stacking the $5 off on my $33 off and it was fine, he didn't mislead me on purpose and it wasn't a big deal but the manager Shane came out and was super mad. The manager Shane called Nick over to the front desk where me and Jamie were standing and totally ripped into him for giving wrong information right there in front of me and Jamie and nick just kept apologizing saying he didn't know and Jamie had her head down and everyone was uncomfortable and he kept going. Dude was upset and raising his voice for like 3 minutes straight. If Shane is having a bad day maybe he should stay home. It was very unprofessional to treat his employees like that period but in front of a customer is crazy but if you're going to rip into someone for making a mistake, do it in private where there is also some sort of coaching. It was disrespectful and I won't be coming back to this location ever again. Nick and Jamie were great but Shane seems exhausting to work with, let alone work under. My Volvo messaged me with an coolant level alert so I came into the Modesto shop first thing on a Sunday morning and they checked my coolant levels and all other fluids and found out that no coolant was needed and they didn't even charge me even though I was offering to pay .. very nice staff and very helpful. Showed up on a Wednesday at about 4 PM. They were closed! Their advertised hours are 7:30-5:00 PM Mon - Fri, 8:00 - 5:00 PM Sat, closed on Sunday. The next Wednesday I called at 4:30 to see if I came right then, if I could get in. They said they stop taking vehicles at 4:30 PM. The next day, I drove up at 4:25. Their bay doors were still open and there was only one vehicle in the bay. They came out and said they weren't taking anymore vehicles. I pointed out that I was told the day before that they stop taking vehicles at 4:30 and it was 4:25. No luck! I get my oil changed there about once a month. It is now under new management! I had been going to this jiffy lube for years, no issues. Apparently corporate greed has taken over. The last time I went, the guy told me he could ONLY put the more expensive synthetic oil in my car. Mind you I have never used this before. He said Hyundai required that they use it. I left and took my business elsewhere. I decided to try to get an oil change today and bring my husband this time to see if they try to get over on me with my husband present. The guy that was checking our car in stalled for a minute and then he tells my husband the same thing. He can ONLY put synthetic oil in my car. My husband questions the guy (his name was Vince) and he was talking in circles. Then another guy comes over and tells us the same thing. My husband tells them we've never received a TSB regarding this and the guy tells us there is in fact a TSB. We called BS and left. We go to another establishment where they were happy to do an oil change with what we wanted. We asked him to look up if Hyundai has a current TSB...he did and couldn't find ANYTHING. Not surprised. They don't do everything on the check list ! Don't let them rotate your tires. $200 for the oil, filter, wipers and tire rotation. After the rotation my sensor was going off and not reading the tire pressure (right rear) and left rear was at 31 psi. So I go back to have them fix it the next day and they say they can't. They're not set up to fix that. Then maybe don't offer that service. I was basically told to go kick rocks. No nothing, not coupon, discount nothing offered. I'll never be back. read more

I think issue is for fleet vehicles they don't tell you there waiting for approvals for up sale items like cabin filters, air filters that you don't even need. I got a pre inspection here last week since it happened to be a requirement for Lyft and Uber Driver... I was told I needed two tires replaced since the dept of the tire wasn't passable .Come to find out that was a lie after speaking to my trust worthy tire shop which called Jiffy lube and asked what's the dept the tire needs to be to pass inspection and they told me .Which my tire guy check the gauge of each tire that I was told needed replacement they were measuring 4 to 5 . This place is untrustworthy trying to upsell me for some tires which I don't need . Manager and owner refuses coupon and charge $40 more than they should charge stating my friends car needed full synthetic however they were very wrong as that year could have blend. Untrustworthy... after using this place for many years, I was disappointed to witness outright lying. Took my 2500HD Silverado in for replacement batteries, was told it would take 20 minutes. About 45 minutes go by when the manager brings my truck and asked me if battery light was coming on before I brought it. I told him that I have never had a battery light on my dash since I owned the truck (2007). He tried to say my battery light was on when I brought it in. Then said it could be a bad alternator, because all my dash gages were not working. I told him that all my dash gages were working when I pulled into Jiffy Lube and no battery light on dash was showing. I was upset that he tried to then say the dash gages were not working and battery light was on. I calling "Diesel Dynamix" who have worked on my truck in the past. Mechanic told me it was most likely a short or blown circuit by arcing a battery during install. I confronted managed who denied any wrong doing. I drove it to repair shop and sure enough the mechanic pointed out where an arch took place on panel next to battery. Then he points out that someone tried to replace ignition fuse and left the broken pieces. A new fuse was installed. Lucky for me that "Diesel Dynamix" in Ceres was able to diagnose the issue and resolve within 30 minutes. I would have worked with Jiffy Lube manager, but he straight up lied and took zero responsibility. NEVER going to use Jiffy Lube on Mchenry or any other place again. Took my car here for the first time ever, since dealer had a long wait. What can I say this place sucks!!! Had my car oil changed, that had no drips of oil ever. When I left and got home, I had a burning oil smell. I checked if the oil fill cap was off it was not. I took the car back the next day and was told that the tech didn't tighten the drain plug completely. Which was a freaking lie, they brought me down under the vehicle to show me. I was pissed because the entire bottom of my car now has oil on it. I have gone back 4 different times and now my oil pan gasket is the reason for the oil leak. This place and the one on Yosemite in Modesto are owned by the same people. DO NOT TAKE YOUR OWN veh to either in these places. Took the car to the dealer and was told my oil pan bolts were loose. Got my last oil change done here. Technician didn't install my new oil filter properly. Oil leaked from my apartment parking space to the street. I was driving short 1 qt and a half of oil due to the leak, but I noticed fast enough to add oil and tighten filter before possibly doing serious damage to my car. Called manager of this Jiffy Lube today. He offered to tighten filter and top off oil. I asked what about the spilled oil on my apartment asphalt. He replied there's nothing they can do about that. Never returning to any Jiffy Lube again Funny thing is I thought Valvoline in Riverbank was at fault cause I normally go to them. Before I realized it was Jiffy Lube's fault I called Valvoline to report this... The manager at Valvoline was super kind. She offered me a free oil change next time I come in, and was on her way to my home to check the oil spill. She was prepared to hire a pro pressure washing service to remove the spilled oil. Went in for an oil change, it was kinda expensive. But I did get the premium synthetic oil. And it'll last over 7k miles so I believe it's worth it. Staff was friendly and didn't pressure me to do other work. I was in and out within 15 min. They even filled my windshield wiper fluid. I recommend and will be returning. read more
