Got my oil changed in my 2010 Infiniti M35x on Saturday 10/25/2014 - Monday, 10/27/2014 - my car stopped running while driving - all the oil had drained out of the engine. I was forced to call roadside assistance and have my car towed to the local Infiniti dealer. At the dealership, they clearly identified the culprit - the plug for the oil pan had not been tightened, fell out into the shield below, and all the oil had drained out of the car. So far, the dealer tells me there is no damage to my engine - we will see about that. I just got it back this evening. I was shocked to read the reviews for this location after the fact. I was (emphasizing **WAS**) a loyal customer for 18 years of this Jiffy Lube location. I will NEVER return. The other reviews of this location on this site and the BBB's rating of this location are atrocious (F rating due to customer complaints). Something changed recently, because it never was this way before. I started to notice a strange change to the service, and now that I'm reading these reviews, my senses noticed that this started happening around the start of the other complaints - not sure why? Maybe a new owner or management change, but I have definitely experienced the claims of the other reviewers - where check out managers push services on me that are not needed, only to back down on their forceful sales tactics when they realize that I'm not buying their story. The newest one - your car 'definitely' needs synthetic oil. Really? Let's pull out the manual and see what they recommend... nope, no synthetic. Thanks. Coolant flush? Transmission flush? No and no. Stay away from this location, and perhaps others as well. I have had good and bad experiences here over the past couple years but the bad ones are finally outweighing the good..... The managers at this location seem to change to frequently and depending on the manager or even the supervisor that is on shift at the time your service can be dramatically altered. They have never accepted the yelp coupons that you get from checking in - they always have some sort of excuse on why they can't accept them and put in a different coupon that doesn't save you the same amount of money. The last time I came in here - I wasn't planning to but I was overdue for an oil change and going on a long distance trip the next day. They took me in right away and I said I just wanted the plain regular oil change. When it was all said and done the guy came out and said the price - which was the price for special oil - no the one I asked for... I got this whole speech from him and after arguing for 20 minutes I gave up told him I would never be back and left. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I think for newer cars just take the time and go to the dealer... the price is almost better than jiffy lube! read more

Couple of weeks ago I brought my 2012 Subaru Outback to the Subaru dealership for 140,000 image service and oil change at 3:30 PM on a Thursday afternoon. On Tuesday AM, I discovered a huge puddle of motor oil on my garage. The Subaru dealership only finger tightened the oil pan lug nut. Wednesday AM I went to Jiffy Lube Marlboro and was immediately greeted by John with a big gap tooth smile. He did a quick examination and assured me there was no serious damage to the engine. He quickly drained the remaining oil and did a refill at no charge. John was friendly, professional and reassuring. I'll be getting my future oil changes at Marlboro Jiffy Lube. read more

Disappointed. Thankfully I had a coupon. 29.05 for an oil change which is probably pretty good. But they did not vacuum the floors which I called them on, and they vehemently defended themselves that they did vacuum. Not true. It was quick, i'll give them that, but it was a terrible experience... I tried to use a yelp check-in coupon from my phone for $8 off an oil change. The coupon clearly states to show the SCREEN to the owner/employee in order to receive the discounted price. They would not use it, claiming they need to staple a physical copy to the receipt, but if I could "figure out some way to print it" they could use it. This would have been fine but I left my pocket coupon printer, that i always carry around just incase some jerk tries to rip me off, in my other car. They also tried to get me to flush out my antifreeze for $90 because, according to their sensors, mine will only protect me down to 0 degrees. I should also mention that they used the same scare tactic this summer to try to get me to flush out my coolant for the low low price of $100 or risk over pressurizing my lines, which is apparently a fate worse than death. Never ended up getting that coolant changed, but the next time I went the situation had apparently righted itself. And that is why I'll never go back. read more

I have had several oil changes done at the Marlboro location over the years. Service is usually prompt and techs are always friendly and accommodating.Though my last oil change was more than fine, I will not return for another. Had no issues with the actual service, everything seemed to go routinely and I left satisfied. However, my issue is that they slammed my hood closed and broke my entire hood latch in doing so. Resulting in me now having to pay to replace it. And pay for the body work of a new grill which they have to tear out to get to it because my hood doesn't open. Though not intentionally done on purpose, I can only assume that it was just accidental carelessness. Very upsetting to pay $70 for an oil change and get $350+ in damage. read more

The manager at this location seems to have a problem recognizing the veterans discount offered by Jiif-Lube. His system readily recognizes the promo code but he complains and argues and makes remarks that his staff shouldn't accept this discount. I will gladly pay more or patronize other Jiffy-Lube locations due to this managers thoroughly unprofessional behavior. read more

Do not go here under any circumstances! I went in for an oil change on 6/30/14. As they usually do they attempted to sell me extra services. I agreed to the A/C recharge. They told me my car passed the A/C pretest and they were now going to charge it. After about 15 minutes I was informed they were finishing up and would be pulling the car around. Within 3 minutes, I was told there was a major problem, my A/C was leaking all over the place. They told me the condenser was leaking and I needed to take it to a mechanic. I was shocked. My A/C was working fine when I went in for the oil change. Now, I had no A/C on a day in the 90's. In fact, it was blowing warm air. They decided not to charge me for the A/C recharge, interesting. I called several mechanics who advised me to take it to the dealership. My car is not under warranty, it is 5 years old. Toyota, informed me that Jiffy Lube had indeed broke it. They had put in twice as much Freon and blew the safety valve which caused the condenser to break. The mechanic also said there was oil all over my drip pan because Jiffy Lube had used a poorly fitting oil filter when they did the oil change. He said they probably buy these cheap ones in bulk and use them for every car whether they fit or not. To fix the A/C problem was $1700. I called for the manager and regional Manager at Jiffy Lube. They did not return my calls until mid afternoon. At that point. the Regional Manager insinuated that Toyota "always lies" about these things. He stated, my A/C was probably already broken and I was trying to get a free fix. I could not believe this guy. He then stated, if it was broken, he would fix it and not Toyota. He could find a used condenser and would use some local person to do the repair. Can you believe this? He stated he was too busy to deal with this and would have the Marlborough store Manager call me. The Manager called to say he was investigating the incident and would get back to me the following day. A week later, he called to say they had decided not to pay me anything because I took it to another mechanic and not them and they did not charge me for the recharge. Are you kidding me!!! Bottom Line: I am will be suing. I am contacting MA consumer protection, Better Business Burea and I am warning you and everybody else. Don't use this place. They are liars, cheats and sleazy. read more

I came in to get my license plate lights changed because they were out. Evan and john were on. They came right out and told me their names and asked how they could help. I told them and they opened the door for me and took me to the waiting area. I got coffee and sat down and was there maybe 10 minutes. They even confirmed the whole service with me making sure I knew both lights were out. Once they finished I payed and had a great conversation with them. They even said they would get the price for me on a coolant tank for my car and let me know how much it costs to get one. They even said if I buy a part they can put it in for me. Still wish I could give them 0 stars. The franchise owner and district manager ofMC. LLC.(a Jiffy Lube franchisee) is just as bad as the store manager. As it turns out I have no oil leak so the only explanation for NO OIL IN MY ENGINE 6 weeks after an oil change at this location, is that they did not put the required 5 quarts into my engine. They are a complete rip off and we paid them $176 for this rip off and shoddy work. The manager asked the Honda dealership for pictures but before they even received them I got an email from the District Manager that they were denying my claim. Although the pictures were sent a few minutes later along with my maintenance records on the car they have refused to resound further. They wouldn't even agree to allow me to have Honda put oil in the car and they his behind their clause that if anyone else touched the vehicle it would void the warranty. They refused to send a rep or tow it elsewhere BEWARE this location an truthfully any other Jiffy Lube because when i contacted headquarters they weren't much better. They washed there hands once they gave me the name of the franchisee. SHAMEFUL. My Honda has 65,786 miles on it. No where near the end of its life. It's too bad I can't add pictures to this review. The staff was friendly and courteous, and my oil change was quickly executed. They tried to talk me into purchasing all sorts of extra services which I deemed unnecessary. Basic oil change and tire rotation took almost an hour and a half, with only one car ahead of me already in one of three bays being worked on. If you're using a Jiffy Lube it's because you're tight on time, and this was not "jiffy" at all. After 45 minutes of waiting, a tech came out and said "you're almost done". 25 minutes later i was still waiting. Terrible. Won't come back. read more

This shop is the worst I have ever been to. They actually caused damage to my car. They put in the wrong fluid, causing a horrible grinding sound. I brought it back immediately and the tech said that he fixed the problem and the sound was gone. I drove away hearing the same sound. I had to go to a real mechanic to get the problem fixed. Stay away. I have gone to Jiffy Lube many times - other locations! - and never had problems but this Marlboro shop has no scruples. read more

Under no circumstances should you come here for service. If I could give 0 stars I would. I went a few weeks ago with my car for service reluctantly. I was in a bind on time. The next day I left for a longish trip and oil was leaking out and spraying on to my engine. After I returned, I took it back only to be told, "There was a recall on the filters; we're sorry." Very suspicious but they fixed it. Just this week my wife came by with her vehicle (she thought I said to avoid a different place). The morning after the car was serviced, a quart and a half of fluid was on the garage floor. She returned and learned that the screws on the transmission had "come loose." When she asked why this hadn't been reported the day before, they said it was their mistake to not report the seriousness of the issue. The receipt states that they "Recommend Transmission Service" (car at 60K+ and was due the service) but given cost my wife refused. On the receipt the service person added "Customer advised to get repaired, Jiffy Lube is not responsible" but didn't define the work or that there were loose screws and supposedly leaking fluid nor said anything to my wife whatsoever. She countered that there had not been any leaking prior to this, but they insisted this happens. When she said she planned to leave and go somewhere else, the manager requested she sign a waiver of liability if something happened to the transmission since she wouldn't let them work on it. She refused. She left immediately and took it to another service center who, upon inspection said the screws almost certainly were "tampered with" (their words) and that they had never, ever seen anything like this ever happening "naturally." Possibly one of the screws, but never all of them. They tightened the screws and added some fluid (for free) and all is now back to normal. No leaking, no other issues. Additionally, we checked and found that the air filter in the cabin was not changed even though we were charged for it; they simply placed the old one back in. When I returned to request a refund, I was denied an immediate refund, and they heavily suggested I just take a replacement from them. Given the issues, and the cost, I declined, requesting a refund. I was told they couldn't give refunds per corporate policy. I asked to see said policy in writing, and was declined. I asked to speak with a district manager by phone, and was not able to do so. The manager on site then left me, claiming he had other customer to service. I replied that I too was a customer. After some time he returned with an incident report, he filled this out reluctantly (it clearly states the manager must do this, so I asked him to do so rather than me doing it for him). He then overlooked giving me a copy of the report and I had to wait longer to get this. It takes nearly 2 weeks to get a check out of the corporate office, so I will update once I get a response. When asked about the transmission issue, he just claimed that they wouldn't have touched it and that it was an existing issue. When I stated again that even he as a mechanic would have difficulty explaining no leak prior to taking it in to be serviced and then a quart and a half on the floor the next day, he reiterated that he wasn't present and his employees would not have touched the transmission. Given all this, it appears that they are not honest. I'm exploring options of dealing with all of this, at a minimum I've put in a report to the BBB. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would!! All was well and good when I first got there! I was greeted by a kind gentle man and he opened my door for me and pulled my car in. I walked over to the service waiting area and then they started. 15 minutes in he came back to the waiting area to ask my questions about my tires and air filter and every thing like that and after I declined the options he then said ok perfect you are almost done and left. After about 20 minutes of waiting (didn't know that was considered soon) he comes back and said "your all set but your going to have to wait 13 minutes because I clocked out on lunch." EXCUSE ME WHAT?!?!?! You are now making me wait after my car is dont because you clocked out on lunch? Could you not wait until after you assist me completely and then clock out on lunch? So as I was sitting waiting for him to be done with his lunch 15 minutes roll by and he hasn't come back another 5 minutes roll by and someone pulls up to the garage and HE GOES OUT SIDE BRINGS THE CAR IN AND STARTS WORKING ON THE OTHER CUSTOMERS CAR!!!! Not until he is done with the first over all over view with the vehicle does he come over and check me out.... I WILL NEVER BE GOING THERE AGAIN!!!! went for an oil change on 11/6/17 the staff recommend me to change transmission fluid on a manual, i said no dont need it, the following week i went to my mechanic and asked if my car needed to change the tranny fluid turns out it was empty when he lifted the car up saw fluid stain around the bolt i know cause i was next to my car so my mechanic said they must have flushed out the fluid to sale me $89 tranny fluid something i didn't need and i end up paying $8.00 for a quart of gear fluid plus $20.00 for my mechanics service. on top of that they didn't tap off anything and didn't vacuum the car. another thing was my car has a rock chip on windshield they asked i needed to get that fixed to pass inspection the car was already inspected and the chip was fixed my j.n. phillips auto glass didn't seem 100% fixed but i asked one of the staff "can you do better then what j.n. phillips"? he said i dont know i never done it! seriously? read more
