Newsflash: some of us work a 9-5 and we can't just leave during the middle of our work days to get an oil change. I was very clear when I called and asked, and there are only one or two people working there. Either they weren't paying attention on the phone, or they deliberately misquoted. I had a Buick Enclave serviced. My son and I were getting it ready to drive across country. The plan was to get an oil change. The mechanic with the intense blue eyes sold me on getting the transmission flushed too. This did not agree with the engine. The transmission was subsequently ruined. Something must have not been closed up correctly. Post haste I've learned that a transmission that is working fine often shouldn't be flushed since what's inside works with the buildup. Yeah, we had out of state plates but pass you often on the Coastal Hwy when visiting our beach house. read more

I arrived at this location fairly early. There were about four people in the waiting room. I checked in with the clerk who asked me if the clerk had gotten my information from the car. I said no, he said well they are a bit busy, they will get to your car right away. I said how will they know which car is mine? He said, they scan the cars. I said I understand that, how do they know which car to scan? He basically just kept repeating that they scan the cars. Then a woman and a small child came in, followed by a gentleman, they both wanted oil changes. They were immediately told when their car would be serviced. I go to the counter and ask why they are being served before me. Again I am asked where my car is, again I say in the parking lot. We go back and forth in this vein for a few minutes before the gentleman agrees to walk out to the parking lot. As soon as I point out my car he tells me, well, you have to get in line. I said, what line? We take people in the order of the line. I expressed annoyance. He said, what would you like us to do? I said, take your customers in the order in which they arrive. Apparently that concept was completely novel to him. He pointed out the line and told me I would be taken in the order I was parked. I said, so you are going to wait on the people who arrived after me? He said, we take them in order. I said, I asked you how your staff would know which car was mine. YOU told me they would scan the car. I asked how they would know which car to scan - he just said, we do them in the line order. There are two parking spaces in the middle of their parking lot. There is no signage indicating you are to pull up into one of these spots. There are no lines to indicate you should pull up behind the two cars in the middle of the lot. I spent close to TWO hours in that store. A good 30 minutes of which were accompanied by that small child having a screaming fit because his mother wouldn't buy him a snack. I am furious. Had the sales clerk bothered to ask if I was in line, or where I was parked in the lot, I could easily have moved my car to the line. It would have been there before the other customers arrived. And, had the jerk behind the counter expressed any remorse about the mix-up I would have been miffed, but wouldn't have left a negative review. I will definitely be looking for someplace else to have my oil changed. read more

This is an update of my previous review in response to the owner... I was told about the oil not being available AFTER the oil was drained not before. I was also asked if I wanted them to put it back. (As if I wanted contaminated oil put back in my engine.) As for the price difference, I said "Since it's your fault you don't have the regular oil why do I have to pay for a more expensive oil?" I was given $5 off because I complained. My issue is just that. No more...No less. This has nothing to do with your vendor and all that other explanation. What a sham of a business. Took my Jeep in for a routine oil change and upsold on buying a replacement rear window wiper. Later to find out there was no window wiper attached. Took it back when discovered and they couldn't find a wiper that would fit. In actuality they broke the rear wiper arm where the wiper attaches and refuses to fix because it's not covered by warrantee. However they would be happy to order a new wiper arm and install. Now if you can't even replace a wiper, why in the world would I pay for you to change the entire wiper arm assembly and install a new one? They didn't ask my name on arrival just said to go and relax in the lobby. There was no waiting in the car just inside while they do there thing. I personally like "Jiffy" lube after I found out jiffy is a term for a unit of time. Meaning very fast... speed of light fast. Just now showed them my smart phone with the website code and got $10 off. Can't beat that. The woman at the counter very pleasent and knowledgeable. BUT if you go just down the street about 2000 feet to "Mr. Tire" they will honor the Jiffy Lube coupons and they will do a great job on your car as well! I regularly get my oil changed at Jiffy Lube because I don't like someone I don't know telling me I need things I don't want. They always ask if we want a new air filter etc. but have always been fair to me. I feel it is worth it to pay a little premium to a place that is not trying to overhaul your engine. Living at the beach means you never know if you will be the first or 6th person but the time frame has always been reasonable. I'm glad they are here. read more

Not so "Jiffy" when you think of that term as being quick. Arrived today (Tuesday) 10 minutes after they opened, 2 cars in the bays and 2 ahead of me. Greeted pretty quickly, but no ETA for when I can get a simple oil change. Went to the waiting room where customers were waiting and grumbling about time it was taking. In total I waited 55 minutes in which time 1 customer checked out and no other cars were brought into the bay. As another review stated, multiple "mechanics" working on 1 vehicle that appeared to be having something close to his engine being rebuilt at a bloody Jiffy Lube. Come on Jiffy Lube, keep a lane open for quick oil changes and get back to being Jiffy. read more

It was my first experience at a Jiffy Lube. Pros: It was impressive to my family that the Jiffy Lube Signature Oil change and replacing a worn-out shield wiper blade were completed within 10-15 minutes. They replaced only one worn-out shield wiper blade. They didn't try to sell unnecessary services or parts.They cleaned thoroughly the flooring of my car. Their clean waiting room had various magazines, there was a free parking, etc. Cons: I searched on my smart phone for a discount while in their waiting room. The polite receptionist (a white senior man) refused to give me the $10 discount on their Jiffy Lube website as the service was performed during a week-end. There was no mention on the website the $10 discount was invalid on week-ends. Thus, I will not return here. read more

Speaking of service, i have been MANY times over the weeks to get an oil change and every time, they have not had the proper oil filter or goofed off in the garage, delaying my service. People who work 9-5 can't do this. It's blatantly disrespectful and I will never tell anybody to go here. I could keep going but that would be just anger speaking. Frankly speaking, if you want some lazy bums to pour some oil into your car, expect a 1:30 wait and a 20 minute operation. My advice? Just wanted to say how pleased I was with my service last weekend . My Ford Explorer had broken down on my way back to Philadelphia from Dewey Beach where I was on vacation for the weekend. Serpentine belt had come off in front of Nike outlet in Rehoboth.Called around with no success initially, it was a Sunday, until I spoke with manager/owner of Jiffy who was incredibly helpful. I towed my car, shout to AAA, directly to their facility late in the day as they were leaving. They made proper prepares first thing next morning, kept me notified throughout process. explained everything they did/were doing to me in detail. I was back on road to make 1115 Ferry in Lewes. WOW, I really can't believe the way my wife was treated at Jiffy Lube. december 15th 2019. Last week took car 1 in, no problem, went next door and had a drink while waiting. Brought the "guys" back some nacho's and wished them merry Christmas. My wife brings car 2 in 2 days later, only one there no other cars in line. She sits in car for 15 minutes and no one comes out. She goes inside and waiting, no one greets her. Then three more cars pull up and they take all three before my wifes! She goes ballistic with little or no care!! They gave her a $7,00 discount, Jeez you get that with the freaking coupon. EPIC FAIL Last time any of my cars goes there and we will spread the word to friends and family. Wasted over 2 hours of my day getting a simple oil change and tires rotated before a trip I was taking. They said it would take about an hour because "they got slammed with foreign cars". Well into the second hour, needless to say, I was not a happy camper. Finally they pull my car around, I pay and then, OH, you're leaking oil!! Back in goes the car, they broke one of the seals. Needless to say, I will never go back there again!!
