I am downgrading. Last time I came in they broke a wheel stud off and sent me to thieves at the Newark location. I chalked it up to coincidence. This last visit they broke another off and tried to blame the heat. I can only speculate on how they did it but that enough. If they can't rotate a tire I am worried they are not proficient in more complex tasks. No More. read more

Not a bad Jiffy Lube location at all. The guys here were polite, professional, and quick with my oil change and tire rotation. I pulled up and they promptly grabbed my keys and asked what services I needed before directing me to wait inside. Communication could have been a little better because they didn't ask me which oil change tier I wanted and it didn't even occur to me until I saw the list of services inside. No one checked in on the office until my car was done but I got lucky that they had performed the exact signature synthetic service I wanted. I understand they're busy though and prices were fair. I often come here for my oil changes. And it's a chore but these guys are super friendly and awesome. The young gentleman with the blond dreads /twists in his hair, I think his work shirt said Jamal, recognized me or so I think bc he said "nice to see you again" complimented my manicure and was very polite and referred to me as "young lady". Literally the first thing waking up at 8 am in the morning is to do chores and what a lovely interaction that just made the start to my dad just amazing. This person is always always very personable. While I appreciated that they didn't try to upsell me additional services, and that they were quick and friendly, my oil started leaking shortly after my oil change last month. I took it for repair and they told me that the plug in the oil pan was damaged, which probably happened during my oil change. So I've ended up with a $2100 bill for the diagnostic, replacement of the oil pan, and another oil change. Disappointing. read more

I got my oil changed here for the very first time August 13th 2021 and my engine is now blown August 31st 2021. AAA roadside assistance sent out a service vehicle to diagnose the issue of my car and when they removed the dipstick they diagnosed that my engine was bone dry. My oil change was done less than 1000 miles ago (989.4 miles ago to be exact) and Jiffy Lube says it's not there fault. 2 mechanics and AAA both said the same thing which was if Jiffy Lube put the proper amount of oil back in your car, when my engine threw a rod there would have been oil everywhere. There was no signs of oil anywhere. No leaks in my driveway, no oil where it broke down. So the mystery is, where did the oil go? Keep in mind that I live less than 7 miles from this Jiffy Lube which means if in fact I did have an oil leak, there would have been signs of a leak in my driveway right? Oil just doesn't disappear and engines don't throw rods without nothing coming out of it unless there was nothing put into it. If my car holds 4.9 quarts of oil (according to Jiffy Lube) then where is it? It's not dripped out at home and nothing dripped out when the engine blew. The Manager Abraham stated you can't drive a car without oil, which is not true. It takes at least 30 minutes to drain a car completely of all it's old motor oil (according to Nissan), with that said if Jiffy Lube changes your oil in 10 minutes or less, chances are they're mixing new oil with old oil. In my case, oil was never added to the engine. They use a pump system which is supposed to pump fresh oil into motor but in some cases those pumps are just pumping air. Thus leaving you with barely any oil from your previous oil change and whatever was or wasn't put in during your current oil change. They told me already that they are not responsible and this situation has now been escalated to Corporate, Geico, BBB, and Consumer Affairs. Best advice I can give you is get your oil changed at the dealership where is warrantied. Jiffy Lube was polite and courteous when they took my money and became the rudest business I've ever visited when I approached them with this discrepancy. If you don't believe, just YouTube "Jiffy Lube Scams". They are known for this and have had to replace engines before, numerous times. My vehicle has 132,xxx miles on it with no check engine light. I get my oil changed 1 time at Jiffy Lube and my engine blew up. I couldn't find any oil leak, AAA couldn't find any oil on dipstick or around vehicle where it broke down. So where's the oil Jiffy Lube? I live to close to not have any signs of oil leaking between your shop and my house. Abraham the manager told me that you can't drive a car without oil in it. However, 2 mechanics told me driving a car with no oil/low oil in it will cause the engine to throw a rod. So do I believe Jiffy Lube or 2 different mechanics? Oil changers vs engine changers. Basically after getting this information from my mechanics I poured oil into the engine and sure enough the oil was leaking out from the bottom of the vehicle. However when the car broke down nothing came out. So the mechanics were right. When your car engine throws a rod or blows the engine all of your car's oil will come leaking out of the engine. AAA service mechanic verified that there was no oil on site nor on the dipstick when they checked my oil level. And all other sources have told me it was a bad oil change, which happens and Jiffy Lube has dealt with this on enough occasions where I would assume that they would assume responsibility since they were the last people to touch my car less than a thousand miles ago. First time worst time with Jiffy Lube. Google YouTube Reddit All have jaw dropping stories about Jiffy Lube. Something to think about is to research a proper oil change and how long it's supposed to take. Get a oil change at a dealership and then get a oil change at an oil changers and tell me which one is more thorough. Plus the dealership warranties their work. read more

I really like this specific place. After all of the blah places I've been to, I've always had pretty consistent service and quality. (My car hasn't broken yet, and it's high mileage.) I get the high mileage oil change, and although it's probably pricey, I'm a sucker for getting my car vacuumed and the top off fluids 3k miles after. The guys are also super nice too! Once, I was about to drive away (on an evening drive to LA), and one of the men helped me out with a broken taillight. This is my first time coming to JiffyLube, I've always had my oil changed at the dealership. Came here on a holiday and was surprised that they were opened. I drove in and was immediately acknowledged, the service technician told me it was going to be a 20-25 wait time to get it done. You get the option of either staying in the car or wait in the lobby/wait room while they service your car. They inflate your tires, wipe your windows, vacuum and check/top off fluids while they are also changing your oil! The service technicians were very attentive and friendly. I did not feel pressured to add or purchase anything during the visit. They advise my what needed attention and had the option to have them do it or on my own terms. This Jiffy Lube was a true stress reliever. My Tire pressure light was showing on my Console, indicating my tire was low. I had a very time sensitive schedule that I needed to keep. My job consists of my vehicle being my office. I knew that the light would be on for the duration of the day and I quickly made a judgment to go to the jiffy Lube on Jackson Street in Hayward. As I approached the garage entrance a very polite Young lady approached my window and asked how they could be of assistance. I was little doubtful and with hesitation asked if they could check my pressure of my tires and they gladly asked me to pull the vehicle into the garage stall which they guided me in with such attentiveness that I knew I had made the right decision to stop and ask them for a quick favor. The manager of the shop Alan watched as the technicians checked the tire pressure and assessed the situation. My tire pressure light has not popped on and the previous location that I will not mention named did not know how to turn the sensor light off when they plugged and patched my tire.
