The front brake pad and rotor quote for my 2013 Subaru Outback was $504.66. I took the estimate home and contacted a friend who is a mechanic to give me a second opinion as to whether replacements were necessary. He removed the front tires to show that the pads were not at the 3mm mark, as was indicated by the Jiffy Lube personnel. The amount of brake pads left on my car was indistinguishable from the new brake pads I bought. My rotors were also not in need of replacement. I phoned the store manager and shared my findings with him. He asked if I could wait while he talked to the person who originally inspected my brakes. He apologized and said that it was "an honest mistake". I suggested that maybe they put someone else's information into my file, but he did not think that was the case. I don't see how this is an "honest mistake". Until this incident, I was a contented Jiffy Lube customer. Car was still leaking oil, so I finally had time to go to the dealership and they said jiffy lube fucked up. I called them 30 seconds ago and told them and then they hung up on me. I was out of town for a while so I took my car to a new place to get it changed and I was informed that where ever I took it before jipped me on 1/4 of the oil they were supposed to put in my car. Drove through with 2 cars. Paid for synthetic oil but while watching the 2nd car go through I noticed they were using regular oil. The manager was standing right next to me and fixed it. What if I had not noticed or observed? The manager was very apologetic and talked to the employee who changed the oil in the first vehicle and he admitted that he had also failed to use the synthetic oil. I took my 2009 TrailBlazer in for a oil change first they mess up my whole truck with oil windows and all. Then have me 9 free car wash to go try to get it off. Go to the car wash and and then they took the tape off my sunroof and the car wash dryer machine almost blow it off we had to hold it down. Then they said they didn't do it and I seen the guy with my own eyes up on my roof wanted to know then what he was doing. I knew something was wrong cause it was 6 people at one point under my hood. From the moment I drove into the parking lot until I left, there was outstanding customer service. When I turned off the street into the lot, one of the guys greeted me and asked what services I needed. I went in for an oil change and got my license plate light replaced. I've never gotten my oil changed anywhere but my car dealer in Virginia but being in Georgia now, I had to find a new place and somewhere close to work. I drove into the garage and waited about 15 minutes at the most while they checked everything in my car and changed the oil and bulb. Everyone was very friendly! The cost was pretty average ($39-$49) but I opted for the high mileage package since my car has over 100,000 miles. They also do military discounts here too. This was the WORST car service I have ever received. I took my car here for a simple oil change. Not only did they not reset the cpu so that it doesn't continue to say I need an oil change, but they apparently caused a leak in my brake fluid. I now have to press down 3-4x as hard just to get a rolling stop on my vehicle. When I called about this problem they said "we have the brake fluid all over the floor of the shop from that vehicle" but they did not after to fix the problem even after I insisted and told them I would leave this review. As you can tell by their numerous 1 star reviews (I am stupid for not checking) this is a HORRIBLE establishment and you should 100% go elsewhere. On top of all that they charge over $50 for an oil change. Please save yourself money and hassle and do NOT EVER come to this location. Inefficient is the first word that comes to mind for this particular location.The Jiffy Lube at the Gateway has numerous bays. I simply needed air in my tires because the pressure was low. In the past, I would go to this very same Jiffy Lube location, pull up to the bay and a technician would check my tire pressure and apply air to the tires IAW the vehicle specs. Although the service was free, I ALWAYS gave a hefty tip to the technician. Today, the business model is first come; first served and I was placed in one of the two lines for cars that required oil changes. After asking a series of questions, I was the only car in line for air in my tires. I was told that it would be 35-45 minute wait. Needless to say, I asked for assistance to get out of the line. I went to the Jiffy Lube in the city limits of Grovetow. That Jiffy Lube has only a single bay but I was able to get air in my tires in less than 15 minutes and there was a truck in the bay ahead of me. I went in early and it was freezing outside. A staff member approached me while I was parked and went over the options and advised me to park in front of the garage door so no one would skip me. They were very helpful. You can see them do everything because you never get off of your car. My car takes more oil quarts (I get full synthetic) and they did not just put the standard 4-5 quarts. They ensured my oils was at a good level prior to leaving. They topped off all of my fluids, checked all of my lights and inflated my tires evenly. Best of all, I saw it all so I don't have to wonder if anything was really done. They also knew what they were talking about and were honest. read more

We had just moved to Grovetown and my car was due for an oil change & tire rotation/balance. I usually do those myself except the balance, but the garage was full of moving boxes, so to Jiffy Lube we went, based on positive reviews. I was told everything would take "about 30 minutes". The oil change took more than 45 minutes, and I was not notified when they were finished. When I asked if the tire rotation/balance was finished, the clerk looked stupefied and pretended to not have heard my original order for a tire rotation/balance, despite her having read it back to me. I was told my air filter was caked in wet dust and needed to be replaced, so I asked to see it. I was told the garbage had already been taken out, which was a blatant lie. What should've taken a total of less than an hour took TWO HOURS and the staff tried to bilk me with services & parts I didn't want or need. Avoid this place like the plague. Very friendly service. I drove from Columbus, GA to Augusta, GA & halfway my "change oil" warning came on. Very friendly and positive staff. My oil change only took 15 mins. I went for an oil change but most importantly I needed a break inspection. I told them this and when discussing my oil change I asked them about my brakes and not really getting an answer. When I was paying I asked again only for them to say "oh yeah you need new brakes" without giving me the details of what was actually wrong. When I tried to ask further they said "well we only do the full service for brakes so you would need everything". When I left I realized they didn't even replace my oil change sticker. I had a really great experience here before. The wait was long, but the work was quality and the people were personable. I just came back from getting an oil/filter change and the experience I had this time was so out of the ordinary I felt I must say something about it. Everything was wonderful as usual service-wise, but the woman that took my payment was not friendly. She loudly and bluntly told me about the issues with my car so everyone in the waiting room heard and her demeanor was sarcastic and rude. After honestly embarrassing me in front of strangers, she told me it would be a little while longer. I thanked her because I'm not terribly confrontational myself and went back to my seat minding my own business. Some boys sitting in the waiting room giggled at the unpolished manner in which she delivered her assessment of my car's problems. She laughed back and said "Hahah I know she's..." and realizing I was still there reduced her voice to a whisper, saying something unintelligible to the boys. She then went back to typing up my order and said she just "tells it like it is". I felt so alienated I couldn't wait until I could leave this place. Finally she called me up to pay and I got out afterwards as quickly as I could. Overall, Jiffy Lube is a wonderful place to go to get excellent car service for an affordable price.
