I went to Jiffy Lube on 4/28/2026 for an oil change and tire rotation. I was informed that they did not recommend rotating my tires, because my tires were worn on the inside and needed to be replaced. They also told me that I needed new brakes, as they were low on the front and rear. Today, 7/09/2026 I took my Jeep Cherokee down the road, to a tire and brake specialist, for another opinion. I was told that my brakes looked great and did not need replacement! He said I still had 60% of the life left on my brakes! I will never return to Jiffy Lube. I can't trust them! read more

Steer clear of this Jiffy Lube--it's a cesspit of incompetence, dishonesty, and danger. My wife and I have had it with this place. A while back, I went in for an oil change, knowing my tire was low (car sensor tipped me off) and my windshield wipers were fraying. The new manager was all smiles, promising top-notch service. What did I get? He didn't bother putting air in my tire--part of the oil change deal--and insisted my sensor was busted. I filled it myself at a gas station, and the sensor shut off. He also stayed silent about my wipers, leaving them untouched. This was before a road trip; we could've been stranded or worse with unsafe tires and wipers. And it's not the first time--on an earlier visit, they replaced my tire lugs, only for my regular mechanic to find one so loose it was barely hanging on. A wheel could've come off mid-drive. We used to rely on this location, but after repeated screw-ups, we swore them off. So why'd we return? Jiffy Lube is one of the only spots around here certifying cars for Lyft--us and every other driver are stuck with slim pickings. Today, my wife went in to recertify her car, fresh from America's Tire where they said her tires were in the yellow which is considered fair on the tire tread depth chart. The employee she spoke with at Jiffy Lube, refused to certify it because the treads were low, and pushed $700 in new tires she didn't need. It was a blatant upsell. She took it to the one other place in town that certifies, and they passed it without a second thought. This Jiffy Lube is a disgrace--rude, reckless, and predatory. They'll butcher your car, lie to your face, and exploit the fact you've got nowhere else to go. We'd rather walk than give them another dime. It's a bunch of high school kids that know nothing about cars/trucks and couldn't care less about what happens to your car. Marco helped me out. He went above and beyond to make sure my vehicle had everything it needed! He even googled how long the warranty was for my Costco battery. He thoroughly checked all the fluids and tire pressure. He was kind, respectful, and very professional. Also very knowledgeable, and walked me through changing the battery and how to do it. Very solid service here. I came here because they said they would take payment over the phone. I spoke with Joe over the phone, and he was able to get my car serviced (oil change, filters replaced, etc.) without any trouble at all. At the end, I spoke with Tyree who made payment over the phone very easy. The team even rolled the windows down on the car when I picked it up to let it air out which I thought was very considerate. Quick and easy place to do oil changes. I was bringing it in for engine air filter and oil change. A technician greeted me upon pulling the car in, and I was shown the waiting room. The service was nice and fast, lasted only 30 minutes. In addition to the oil change I requested, they also did a free complimentary vacuum of the interior and free top offs of all the other fluids that I needed, which is really nice of them. Avoid this Jiffy Lube center at all costs. Should you choose to come here willingly...you may end up with a damaged oil filter cap like myself and not know it until you take your car in for its next oil change. In my case I was not in the area when I needed my next oil change -- I took it to a Jiffy Lube in northern CA where they told me that I would have to buy a replacement oil filter cap because the current one was damaged and unable to removed without breaking it. My initial reaction was to call the Goleta Jiffy Lube location to explain to them that their employees damaged my oil filter cap, that I was being charged for a new one and that I was unable to drive it in to show them. When I spoke to the first employee he made me repeat my License plate number 7 times (I work in customer service and read the letters/numbers VERY CLEARLY all 7 times!!!) after which told me that I was not in the system. I asked for a manager, because I have been a customer of this Jiffy Lube for 8 years, with three different vehicles and should definitely have been in their system. The next person I spoke to made me repeat my License plate number several times (increasing my frustration -- but I remained calm) and told me, again, that I was no longer in their system. I asked if he was the manager and he said no. I asked for the manager for the second time and was placed on hold. Lamarr answered the phone and I told him that I was not interested in reading my license plate out again and that I want a refund or else I would have someone come into the store on my behalf. Lamarr said that their system was wiped out 6 months ago and that my information was probably lost so that there was nothing he could do. It was at this time that the Jiffy Lube employee in Merced handed me the invoice number of my last Jiffy Lube visit at the Goleta Store from June 2016. I recited the invoice number to Lamarr and his attitude changed. He asked me to email the store with my current mailing address for a refund of the new part. Will I ever get this refund? Most likely not. But as someone who has worked in customer service for many years I am more focussed on letting customers out there know that this is not a store they should trust with their vehicles -- I won't be returning here again, and I urge you all to follow suit. read more

This jiffy lube is terrible. I went there for an oil change, which was already about $50 more expensive than the Toyota dealership down the street, but that would be alright if they had quick and good service. But the oil change still took over an hour and a half with only 1 other car there. And then they tried to upsell me on 3 or 4 unnecessary services. They tried to convince me I needed a new cabin air filter by taking mine out and putting a bunch of dirt and flowers on it. Despite the fact that I had just changed that filter and it was perfectly clean before I went there. And then when I went home I pulled the filter out still full of flower petals that they didn't even bother wiping off before putting it back in the car. I took my husbands car in because he need a new brakes when they took off the brakes they discovered that The bracket that holds the brakes on wasn't attached from the previous owner. We were told to the part wouldn't arrive for another day after sitting there for a few hours of them working on it. The owner comes over and asked if there's anything he can do. I told him that we have a trip planned leaving the next morning and that we will be unable to make the trip because of the issues with the car. All of this was obviously out of everyone's control but the owner took it upon himself to find a part it was available the same day and even though the wait was a long time overall for the car to be ready for service was Superior and I would highly recommend them because they addressed all the safety concerns and made sure we would have a safe drive. They gave me a phone charger because we had been there so long that my phone was dying, they brought my daughter and I water, they offered to DoorDash us anything we needed and overall we're just a very accommodating staff. Aside from that they also had the best prices in Santa Barbara I am a huge person on research so I made sure I was getting a good deal And their price was about $500 lower than any other place in Santa Barbara. read more

Months ago I went in to purchase a 4 set of tires. After purchasing the tires I asked if my transmission fluid could be checked, and how much it would cost to re-fill it. They offered to do it for free since I already purchased the tires. That sounded like a great deal-- I don't think any logical person would turn it down-- so I agreed. But the deal was a clandestine type. Which I don't understand how that is allowed. I did not realize the nature of this promotion, until after the service was completed. I drove home, and within hours my car stopped working, its a pretty new model so it was really odd that it just stopped suddenly. Later after consulting with many mechanics I found out that transmission was damaged due to the lack of transmission fluid. Therefore, leading me to conclude that when the transmission fluid was replaced by Jiffy Lube, they either did not add the right amount or did not seal it right and caused it to leak. I went back and explained the situation to the manager, and he deflected any type of accountability. He was a bit rude about the entire situation, even though I was willing to work things out in a polite and civil manner. I did not want to post this, because I am the type of person that understands that we all make mistakes. What I did not appreciate was the lack of responsibility. I hope they are able to get better management that is able to understand the severity of circumstances and take responsibility for their actions.
