Outside of the not so traditional location/set up this place is 5 stars for me. I showed up mid day Friday with no line. I was able to pull in immediately! The gentleman who checked me in was quick and knowledgeable and helped me pick an oil for my car and to my surprise he didn't tell me the $100 oil was the only one for me. I was in and out in about 15 minutes or so and after my last experience at valvoline (50 minutes) I welcomed the change. The guys there were funny and cracked a few jokes with me. After checking in, I noticed the low rating and was confused! Then I read the reviews and understood that many people came to jiffy lube for things other than oil changes lol. However, they are in the parking lot with what seems to be many other car places. read more

I did a quick search for a place to get my oil changed, after a failed attempt at another merchant. The crew got my car in quickly. The service was great, prices fair. I will definitely come back for future oil changes. It can be hard to miss because tucked away at the end of the row of industrial shops. Just pull around to the back and they will get you all set. read more

The manager Michael was very understanding with my frustrations with his staff. He told me to come back and he checked my vehicle himself. He did so many things he didn't have to do and even gave me the materials to get the oil up from my new garage floors. He was nice, patient, open to criticism and apologetic. I have been going to jiffy lube for a very long time with no complaints . I recently got an oil change on October 5th and they almost messed up my damn car. My car had been dying for the past couple weeks and I thought that it was my battery. The other day , my car stopped in the middle of the road and then 3 more times on the way to work. There is no jiffy lube near my job but there is a valvoline across the street. I went there to find out that all the oil that was changed, was leaking and they could have ruined my entire engine. When I came to request a refund the manager, Michael was looking at me as if I was speaking another language. The employees weren't any better. I eventually got my refund for the 60 dollar oil change but I'm Never going to jiffy lube again. read more

I am/was a faithful customer of the Capital Heights Jiffy Lube for many years, for my vehicles until recent. Went in for a simple Signature Oil Change and leave with a oil drip and burning smell coming through my vents. I took my vehicle back a week later and spoke with the manager (a Caucasian gentleman) whom appeared to be reluctant to check the issue. They checked and found the a leak and that the gasket was not replaced properly and advised they cleaned the area and the burning smell would go away in about a week or so. Due to the burning smell was still present (2 weeks later) I took my vehicle to the Capital Heights Just Tires, whom found a bad leak around the gasket! Will never use Jiffy Lube again! read more

Although I have used this Jiffy Lube location in the past, I can't say the same for the future. I went in for a routine oil change and they end up creating a mess in my engine cavity. Oil puddles on flat parts of the engine, oil on electrical connectors, and oil on the very hot parts of the engine resulting in smoke entering the inside of my car was intolerable. I took my car back to them and all I got was an apology and a weak explanation that they poured the oil in too fast resulting in"blow back". Really? It looked like they were just plain old careless. This is what they do all day and every and they messed up big time. I ended up having to clean as much of the mess as I could out in the cold. Oh well next time I'll go somewhere else or do it myself. read more

jiffy indeed. they completed my oil change so quickly that it was less than 15 minutes from the time i handed them my keys to the time i was driving away, receipt in hand. everyone was very friendly and mostly professional (a couple of the guys were a little flirty, but not offensively so). if you've never been to a JL or similar type of place, you need to be prepared for them to try to upsell, upsell, UPSELL you on every single little thing from washer fluid and coolant to wiper blades and their supercalafragalisticexpialadoshus level oil change. DON'T FALL FOR IT. just get your basic oil change and go, and it'll be all good. read more

Every time "this" Jiffy Lube changed my oil, I ended up with major car issues. Each time I took my car back they would say it was my transmission or I needed to change my air filter. One time they forgot to reconnect the hose and my engine light came on. The final straw was when I the engine light wouldn't go off and I ended up paying another mechanic $300 dollars because somehow during the oil change, they had disconnected the electrical wiring and my car wouldn't start. Where do they get these guys from??? I haven't been back since. read more

The prices at this location are ridiculous. I thought the dealer set the mark for the high end of maintenance pricing but this location was the highest I have ever paid for an oil change in 10 years of car maintenance. In addition to that, they spend a great deal of energy trying to upsell you other services. Save your money. Go almost anywhere else & you'll do better. I will never return to this store. read more

BEYOND A NIGHTMARE: against my better judgement I decided to give this location another chance to service my vehicle after failing to uphold a basic professional standard of quality service. Approximately two weeks after receiving my oil change my engine locked up! It was determined by the repair facility as well as the claims adjuster that no oil was in the vehicle due to not properly resealing the cap. To add insult to injury, I was further advised that I was one of three customers within a month with the same issue. They strongly advised against jiffy lube due to their track record and numerous complaints! I can now speak from first hand that this is true. Jiffy lube has refused to take any part in the incident which has now left me without a vehicle and a $3k repair bill for a new engine. If you are thinking of using this facility, please, think again!! read more

I usually don't write reviews, but thought this time one was necessary! I have gone to this Jiffy Lube on numerous occasions, however today will be the last. My first poor experience with them was that I went to get an oil change, during which I was advised that my headlight was out and that they could replace the bulb. I knew the light was out and agreed to allow them to change it. I paid, left and on the way stopped at a store and realized that the same light that they supposedly replaced was out and not working. Next door to the store was another Jiffy Lube. I stooped there, asked them to check it after showing them the receipt and that it was just replaced, they replaced it with the correct bulb. At my last visit I was once again told my light was, this time a turn signal, was out. I knew this and again allowed them to replace it. Upon driving this week I noticed they replaced my vehicl's yellow turn signal bulb with a white one. Upset, yes but as long as it works I'm good. During that visit they also replaced my windshield wipers front and rear. At the time I was told that the rear blade cost $9.99. Upon checking the receipt it showed I was charged $19.99. When I asked the manager, because he was completing my payment transaction, he told me out he said it needed a special piece for the arm. Ok, fine. However, today I'm driving, first rainy day after having the blades replaced, turn on the rear wiper, it goes 3/4ths of the way up and stops. I immediately drive to Honda where they check and tell me that the wrong size blade was placed on the vehicle, however they could replace it for $9.99 or since I just had it done a week ago that I should be able to go back to the place that put it on. I decided to go back to Jiffy Lube. I explain to the manager my issue and Honda's statement that the replacement blade is $9.99 and he tells me that they will replace the blade but will not refund the $10 difference because the arm was necessary! I hope that $10 was worth losing a customer and receiving this poor review. I also found the manager to be very dismissive and not interested in talking to customers at all, instead he sent a worker to deal with my issue. I have given them more than enough opportunities to get it right! I'll be going back to the Jiffy Lube that corrected their problem the first time even though it's further away from my home. read more
