I'm not sure if they dragged their feet to get more money out of me because they charge by the hour for labor. They always jack up the prices. Which is why I usually avoid them. I came here for an inspection. I was told the wait would be 2 hours, an hour before they could take the care and an hour to do the inspection. This seemed bizarre because any other time I've got an inspection done, it takes about 15 minutes. I decided to wait, it took about about an hour as they said to take my car in. I was then told the car failed because the rear brakes were too low. I then brought my car to the dealer and they said the brakes were absolutely fine. They wasted my time and lied to me. read more

The man working there on Tuesday ripped me off . All I needed was an oil change with synthetic oil usually I get charged $75 this time he didn't even tell me a price right away, then he tries to sell me on this other liquid that he told me was $20 (which then ended out being $40) he told me my filter was dirty. So my total was $146. I told him I have a filter in my trunk. You can replace it with. This man had already replaced it and just took my filters. I don't recommend going here if you're a girl especially! read more

It's a Jiffy Lube. You get exactly what you pay for. An oil change for my 2008 Nissan ended up being almost $100, partly because I asked for full synthetic. I was in and out in about 40 minutes. I'm still in the market for a mechanic in my new town, and will probably start going there once I have one. read more

The hours of the location state 8am. I arrived at 8:01 and it looked like a ghost town. All lights were off. A gentleman comes out at 8:05 and states he's the only one there and can't do it all and to come back on an hour. I advised the gentleman, your hours say 8am and I need to go to work. I can't just come back... If I need to come back I am not going too. The gentleman stated he would just do it for me. I thanked him! And he worked on my car. I appreciate him... this gentleman worked on my car and another persons car. He deserves a raise... but as far as the other employees that were scheduled and did not show up. Shame on them. Shame on this location! I left at 8:35 and still not other employees showed up! This is my second time at this location and I honestly do not think I will be coming back. read more

I've heard of jiffy lube obviously, and of the concept of a ten minute oil change but I've always maintained my vehicle pretty well- and never felt th need to get my oil changed especially quickly, however, recently I've been super busy, and so I haven't been able to get my mechanic. Showed up on Sunday for an oil change and to get my inspection done ; was told by an employee that Inspections aren't done on Sundays & Wednesdays - understood. I returned on Monday (bare in mind there a sign over one of the garage doors stating "We Do Inspections" ) and asked to get my inspection done. employee runs back into the garage to ask his boss and returns to tell me "not doing inspections today". I ask why and no answer ; I'm told "you can ask my boss if you want but I'm not sure" .. so basically JiffyLube picks and chooses what car they want to do or what customer they want to do business with if it's convenient. Wont be returning ; doesn't matter to them anyway - go to the JL in East Meadow ; nicer staff read more

I've been getting my oil changed at this location for about 15 years. The representatives have been great and I rarely have a long wait. So that's why I always go to this location. Recently there was a mix-up which required me to reach out to them. The representative listened to my concerns and resolved the issue within hours. No fuss, no muss. Too many companies would blame the customer and not want to work with them. It's not the right thing to do. Based on the way this matter was handled, I'll bet they have me as a customer for another 15 years. read more

Eight days ago I received a response from Jiffy lube requesting information regarding where to contact me regarding the inadequate service my daughter received on October 6th regarding the fact that her lugg nuts on her rear drivers tire were not put on her car red jeep as the reference at your Baldwin location. I have received numerous lies from this company regarding the monies that I laid out including towing, another mechanic to fix the car properly. I received a response from the so called owner 8 days ago re my contact information. as of this new post I have never been contacted via phone text or email. buyer beware of the company nothing but lies and false promises. Visit Date: October 16, 2017 I got my oil changed here for a recent oil change. It was on the way home from work so I wanted to try it. My only qualm was that they took awhile. I was hoping to be in and out. The guy who changed my oil was friendly. He directed me inside and told me I could help myself to what was probably horrid coffee and water. I appreciated the water. And it was nice enough for them to offer the coffee even though it might have been on the horrid side. It was a tiny bit more expensive than the usual places I've gone but it was okay enough besides taking awhile. read more

Hubby and I came here for a last minute oil change. We have had issues with oil changes at other places before since the car is a manual. So we decided to come here. We didn't wait at all and the staff was extremely nice and friendly. They carry top quality oil for foreign cars and It was quick and efficient service. Right before we left we realized we needed to get the inspection done, and hesitated whether we should do it because of time issues. I am glad we did because it was very fast service. We were in and out in less than one hour. I'm glad we came here. We will be definitely coming back the next time we have to get an oil change or an inspection done. read more

I went in for a routine oil change and these "mechanics" damaged the oil drain cap so badly that all of the synthetic oil drained out of my car and because there was no oil in the car the engine was severely damaged and needed to replace the engine. I had an out of pocket expense of $2200 which they refuse to pay. I would avoid this store and the Jiffy Lube chain as they are incompetent. read more

Arrived at 8:45 on a Thursday morning my vehicle required a state inspection. I was informed by one of the technicians that inspections aren't done until after 12 noon (and they weren't busy). I was a-little frustrated no where on the app or the website does it state this, a complete waste off my time. I informed the tech that the app and website should be updated. Went to Jiffy Lube and it was empty on a A week day around 11:30 am. I was excited to be able to finally get in when it wasn't busy, I had just got off of work and was ready to go home. It took over 45 minutes. I kept watching the workers do nothing as I sat waiting. They had no other customer at the time. I asked what was the hold up and they had no answer.. I used to work for Jiffy Lube when I was in college and I know how long it takes. For such an expensive price, you would think you would try at least to have better customer service and work ethic. They do a good job. Why 3 stars? Sales tactics. Ask questions and do not assume you automatically get the oil or service level that is the best value. Pressed for time? Ask that they not remove air filters, etc to show you how they may need replacement soon. That smiling face turns quickly when expensive add ons are politely declined. read more

I brought my 2005 Explorer to the Baldwin jiffy lube for a state inspection. They found 3 out of 5 bulbs not working in the third brake light above the rear window. All bulbs are in the same fixture. I was told they could not do the inspection without replacing them add a charge of $15 per bulb. I declined. Bought the bulbs myself at less than $1 per bulb. I took the 2 screws out of the fixture and replaced the 3 bulbs in 10 minutes. I don't think 3 bulbs in the same fixture should cost $45 to replace. By the way I had the inspection done by someone else. read more

I have been so lackadaisical with my oil changes, so it has been a while since I last visited my good ol' Baldwin Jiffy Lube. I knew I was was way overdue and a little worried after my cars' engine was revving, practically screaming, "FEED ME MY OIL!" It was either gym or oil change, so I opted for the oil change. I was greeted by a sweet gentleman, and yes, gentleman (he opened my car door when I pulled up.) He asked me if I had been there before. "Yupp." He then asked me to kindly wait in the waiting room. Well, since the last time I was there, they completely re-did the waiting room. The interior was repainted, and had new leather chairs. The bulky old TV was still mounted to the wall, but it was playing "The King of Queens" and the episode made me chuckle. Anyway, soon after, I was brought into the garage to go over the spiel about the mileage and all the stuff I have no idea about. The technician was so polite and explained that I really ran my engine ragged, and it was oil free! YIKES MERI! He suggested a higher test oil which I quickly agreed to. He brought me over to the hood of the car and said a few of the essentials liquids were low. Fill her up! Like usual, the air filter was shown to me, but this tech. didn't pressure me into a new one. He knew my boundaries. I really appreciated that. I have walked into service places for just an oil change and walked out spending $500 because I felt my car really needed what they were telling me about. Obviously, I prefer an honest technician. I sat back in the waiting room another ten minutes, max, and my car was done. The whole service took a crazy short time and I actually had time make it to the gym too. Baldwin Jiffy Lube is my place to go. Yay! My car is happy again...See ya in another 3,000 miles. This time I am for real! read more

So I brought my car to jiffy lube for an oil change. I bought 5 quarts of synthetic oil that I purchased from auto zone to have the technician put in my car. So after about an hour it seemed like it was taking too long so I checked in and the technician is putting regular oil from jiffy lube in my car!!!! Apparently he didn't see the Giant bag with 5 quarts of oil on my seat!! So now he has to flush all of that oil out just to put the synthetic oil I purchased in. I was there for 2 hours! And what's messed up is if I didn't go out and check myself these jerk offs would have sent me on my way with regular oil in my car. I think it's safe to say that I will never be going back there. Take your car there at your own risk. There is a reason their is never any waiting time when you go to jiffy lube and it's because they suck! read more
