Before you go to Grease Monkey in Collingwood heights b Beware of the following…read more First of all beware of the attitude because the ladies who work there have plenty of it. One white girl one black girl both have attitudes. Secondary if your going to get a oil change keep in mind you see nothing of the work actually being done. They pull your car up in the garage and there is a guy who works on your car in like a basement. So he's under your car from down under there's like a opening in the floor that allows them access underneath. This method of giving a oil change made me feel extremely uneasy. I can't see anything In this day and age of constantly being cheated by mechanic shops who knows if they actually did a oil change. Third check your oil before even going into the shop and make sure you let the engine cool to get a proper reading..So park your car at night and check oil in the morning . check your oil level and color , if they actually did your oil change your oil will look like a slight olive green color . Check there work immediately after they do your oil change don't drive off. The fourth thing is watch out for the sleezy sales tatics. They lady took my vehicle in the garage told me what type of oil I needed Then she says there may be a additional charge if it's hard to put bolts or filter back . I'm like well why can't you tell me from the make of my car whether or not it will be a problem. She said she can't tell unless they do the oil change LIES LIES LIES I was so mad at this lady who you would think would look out for a woman tell me a bold face lie. I DON'T HAVE A FANCY CAR SHE KNOWS WHETHER OR NOT THERE WILL BE A PROBLEM. The fifth thing Beware of they take your car slightly apart underneath just to tell you what type of oil you need which is unnecessary that information is easy to find without taking your car apart. Finally beware of paying with credit card. Grease Monkey does not let you pay first because they intend to add additional fees to your initial price . Pay in cash skip the bull. In summary my overall experience at grease monkey was horrible. The black man mechanic was trying to calm me down because I was truly upset .He was kinda nice . I had to request for my vehicle to come out of the garage immediately. I could go to the dealership to get my car oil change but I have had two vehicles prior to this one and I went the dealership to service them both and they eventually broke both of them and I only went to the dealership for repairs .The dealership is also hungry for used vehicles because of the new car shortage So I really will stay away from the dealership for oil change as well. Notable mention they don't put a sheet of paper to protect your driver side from oil dirt and debris from there shoes Also don't wait in the lobby watch to see if there really working on your car

Service right away , quick for an oil change and done . Prices were very reasonable and I was happy…read morewith everything.

In September 2024, I brought my car in for a routine oil change and to have the head valve gasket replaced. What should have been a straightforward service turned into a nightmare--after the repair, my car would not start at all. When I returned to address the issue, I was met with complete denial and unhelpful behavior from Nick and Jon, the managers. Not only did they refuse to admit any fault, but they also repeatedly lied about what happened and tried to dodge responsibility. It was incredibly frustrating to be met with such blatant dishonesty when all I wanted was for them to fix the mistake. To make matters worse, I overheard Nick say multiple times that they often receive faulty parts, which raises serious concerns about the quality and safety of the work being done at this location. Not long after my car was damaged, the mechanic who worked on it was fired--a clear sign that something went very wrong, yet they still would not be honest with me about what happened. I also called Midas's corporate customer service line to try and escalate the issue, but they refused to hear me out or take any action. It was clear that customer satisfaction and accountability are not priorities for this company. In the end, my car was left in worse condition than when I brought it in, and I was left with the financial and emotional burden of dealing with the aftermath. Do not take your vehicle to this Midas--or any Midas, for that matter--unless you want to risk serious damage and dishonest service. Spend your hard-earned money somewhere that respects their customers and stands behind their work.

A quick oil change sounds convenient on paper, but in practice it's a breeding ground for…read moremistakes. There's an old saying: you can have it done well, quick, or cheap; but you can only pick two. If a place is promising a 10-minute turnaround, something has to give, and it usually feels like quality is the first thing sacrificed. Rushing a job like this doesn't leave much room for care or double-checking. Even small oversights become more likely when everything is about speed. It starts to feel less like proper maintenance and more like an assembly line. Another concern is the "drive-thru" style service where you stay in the car while it's being done. That might sound convenient, but it adds a different kind of pressure. Nobody wants to make a mistake when the boss (the customer) is sitting right there watching, which can lead to cutting corners or focusing on speed over thoroughness. In the end, an oil change isn't something that should be rushed for the sake of a stopwatch. When something as important as vehicle maintenance is involved, a few extra minutes for attention to detail is worth far more than a promise of getting it done in record time.

However the sticker was only for 3000 miles additionally I had a 50% off coupon since it was my first time there but the 50% coupon is only good for up to $25 off set the 50% discount coupon is worth worthless, they need to change it to 25% off and stop misleading the public with her 5000 mile oil changes that are really only good for 3000

So I reviewed Mr Tire and got a response that said if I needed more assistance to call the "store owner." So I called and was put on the line with a technician (Todd?). Todd said the store didn't operate like that being 'individually owned' as it's corporate. So he finally put me on with NOEL, an assistant manager who behaved unprofessionally, was defensive and laughed at the situation. Also, NOEL gave me a corporate phone number (800-297-9886) that did not help at all. Those folks had to give me a different phone number to call. MR. TIREs assistant manager Noel, argued that AUTOZONE was at fault for selling Mr. Tire defective sensors, as if we should take our complaint to AutoZone. The point of this review is Mr Tire does not support its customers. We bought four new sensors with our tires. They turned out to all be defective. Now here is what led to this situation. Now for the events that led to aforementioned. In August 2024 we needed new tires. The tires were original to our 2018 Subaru Outback. We took the car to the Glassboro Mr Tire and had all four tires replaced. The total was $1137. In November of that year we noticed the TPMS light continuously coming on, so we took the car back to the Glassboro Mr Tire and they recommended we replace one of the sensors so we did. The total was about $115. About 14 months later, it started happening again. So we brought it to the Oaklyn Mr Tire because we had moved. They checked the sensors and recommended that ALL 4 be replaced. They said they have to be replaced every couple of years. But that's weird because we're older and this has never happened to us in our entire lives before using Mr Tire. So I googled it and yes, tire sensors do go bad--every 6-10 years!! Not in 14 months!! They outlive the life of the tire!! The four new sensors cost us $595 instead of $460, which is the Glassboro location's price multiplied by four. So far these tires have cost us $1847!! This is some kind of scam Mr Tire, especially the Oaklyn location, has running. We decided to have them all replaced because we were upset and didn't know what to do. We should have just left. But when this happens again--and it will--we will go to Tire Kingdom or even the dealership just to be treated like human beings. We are so mad!! Don't go to Mr Tire--it's a scam company!! Due to Noel, I am posting this review online via social media.
