Don't go here. We took our 2021 Honda CR-V here to change the oil and check brake and rear differential fluids. They told us that when they removed the "bolt" on the rear differential they saw it was "stripped." (C'mon, on a relatively new, low-mileage Honda? Hmmmm..) They broke the mechanism, rendering the car unsafe to drive, and told us we had to take it to a Honda Dealer. They didn't charge for the damage they did to the car. But, If I were in a better financial place, I'd sue these people. The nearest Honda dealer can't get to it "for a few days." And we are supposed to start a major road trip tomorrow. We are screwed, no way to get a refund there. I broke my own rule about never getting service at these chain places, but we were in a hurry. Never again. UPDATE: We contacted Jiffy Lube twice at the email address provided here by Nancy F. We received no response. We filed a complaint with the district magistrate. Jiffy Lube notified the magistrate that they intended to defend. We won by default because Jiffy Lube did not show up. After the required 30 days, Jiffy Lube neither paid the judgment ($5,258.10) nor appealed the judgment. Our next step is to file with Allegheny County Sheriff's office to have our money recovered. Avoid chains like this. Patronize only local mechanics who are working for themselves. read more

I live about 100 miles north. In town last few days of 2024 figured I'd get an oil change here. Drove in an hour before closing; looked like all the young area oil-change tech wannabees were having a get-together and arguing to be the one who got to go underneath. Left out the front drive as it was getting dark and could hear a rapid rattling/grinding sound that got worse as engine revved higher; thought it should go away. Worse next day, worse with distance and higher speed. Took it back to Jiffy Lube. Manager came out, listened, even pretended to look underneath; said he didn't hear anything odd (I sure did) or see anything wrong. Everything closing for holidays next days so I'm driving 100 miles home expecting my wheels to seize or a piston to come shooting up out of my hood. Took it to a dealership near home asap. Tech put it up on the lift and came to the waiting room to get me, saying "you gotta see this". Jiffy Lube had messed up he lower front bumper taking off the skid plate and then put it back on upside-down, with the insulation towards the road. It was vibrating etc. Only about $80 to the dealer, but my hairs were grayer. Took it back to Jiffy Lube next week, spoke with both managers, explained and showed them the repair bill. I got my oil changed here a few months ago. It was my cars first change and when I left I had no worries and thought everything was great. Just today, I got my oil changed for a second time at a Valvoline and was informed that the way the guys at this Jiffy Lube sealed my oil filter caused it to leak. They informed me that they were supposed to replace the plug after every change and instead this location reused my plug and did it incorrectly. I'm glad I caught this now, but wish it had never been an issue in the first place. I also informed this Jiffy Lube that I had a tire that I thought had been punctured and needed it to be fixed. They "looked" at it and told me everything was fine. I had to insist they look again at that specific tire and they found the issue. Overall, I wouldn't recommend going. If you're able to go anywhere else I would suggest you do that, or just know exactly what you need done and insist they do exactly as you say. read more

07/16/2022 I dropped my car off for inspection and oil change. Due to a first come first serve basis I was told to have my car there between 7:30am-8am. I was the first customer there, even before any employee showed up. I was told it should be done around 11:30-12:00pm. My car was never moved from the space I left it in, never touched in 4 hrs! Meanwhile staff was working on one car and a 2nd car was being pulled into another garage bay for service. WTF?? Apparently my car wasn't even on their radar. The person who first checked me in said he understood if I couldn't wait any longer. What? Seriously? I asked for my keys and left. DO NOT GO HERE. First time at this jiffy lube. Things started great and i was greeted very nicely by one of the technicians and did not have to wait to have my car serviced. Once the breakdown of what my car needed started, everything went down hill. The staff tried to upsell everything from the start but realized that i was not falling for it after seeing that i knew a pretty good amount about cars. They tried to change everything in my car; from spark plugs, to headlights, to coolant flushing (coolant flushing that i had done to my car abt 4 days ago). Basically they tried to convince me that a lot needed replaced in may car when in reality none of it was necessary other than the oil change. They tried to tell me my turn signal was out but when i asked which one they didnt even know the correct bulb for it (and it wasnt out). Dont fall for the "factory recommended" argument that they make in an attempt to make more revenue. Also they told me "once you go synthetic you cannot go back to conventional oil" which is a bold face lie, an old myth believed by old old mechanics. (Another way they try to upsell you from a $40 oil change to a $120 oil change). If i were someone that didnt know anything about cars, i could have easily walked out with a $800 bill for things my car doesnt need. BEST of all, the mechanics let me know my air filter was dirty and i needed a new one; so i bought one after my visit and went to put it in. The bolts meant to hold the air filter in were LOOSE and one of the hoses from the air filter housing was MISSING. I had to buy a new hose and thank god i looked at it myself and noticed before it become a bigger issue. Absolutely unacceptable for such neglect and what seems like the mechanics setting my car up for a break down for another visit. I wish i could give 0 stars and i hope this place shuts down so no more people can be lied to, disserviced, and neglected. read more

There seemto have been a turn around of employees. The guys that used to work here were sweet and accommodating. Replaced by young guys, saying the fuck word 5 times a sentence and in general being completely rude. I totally have a love/hate relationship with this Jiffy Lube. I live close and you really can't put a price on convenience, but let's talk about the actual price. A signature oild change is $49.99. I feel like the price goes up every time I go. (If you do venture to any Jiffy Lube, look up coupons, there are a bunch online). I also feel like they are always selling me something I don't need. No, I need an oil change, I have a brake guy, I can change my own wipers. I get it, upsell, upsell, upsell, but stick with the facts. Jiffy Lube should perfect the Oil change. Consistency is my other issue, sometimes I am there for 30 minutes, and sometimes I am there for 15 with the same amount of cars in the garage. It seems to be a hit or miss. Ps. I forgot to mention (and if you look below) the customer service is always friendly. You can't overlook the fact that employees hold the door for you. read more

Too bad I can't give a 0 Star review. Stay away from this business! Justin who introduced himself as 'manager' should take Customer Service 101 and treat loyal customers with respect. Oh and he should also train his employees to properly fasten the engine shield they removed to access the oil filter from underneath my car. This would have prevented it from dragging on the road, which Justin refused to fix right away, asking me to get in line behind 3 cars already waiting for an oil change. On my way back home, I stopped at Mr Tire in Waterworks and they fixed the problem right away, not even charging me for it. I was a little concerned coming to this location after reading the reviews but I'm glad it didn't deter me. It was quick and very professional. I got an oil change and from start to finish, I was there for maybe 30 minutes. They have three bays and they were all full when I got there but they work very quickly. I'm not sure if they had a staff members Issue that caused all those bad reviews but I would recommend this place and will be going again since it was so quick and the service was great! read more

I dropped off my car before 8am and going home waiting to 12:40 pm , I did call them and they said almost done they will call when it done. We were about to take a trip out of town and I wanted to get my coolant fluid changed and my transmission fluid drained and filled. I went to the Monroeville location but, they didn't have the right transmission fluid. So I went to this location in Aspinwall and was told that the wait just to take my car in would be an hour to an hour and a half so I left and came back about an hour later and the same cars were still in the service bays. You mean to tell me it takes over an hour to service a car? I don't know, maybe they were doing state inspections or something. Some I left and came back the next morning. I was told the wait would be about 30 minutes so I handed over my keys and waited. About an hour later my car was pulled in. 15 minutes later a worker comes out and tells me that he recommends that I have the transmission fluid flushed inside of drained and filled. Of course you do as the cost for a transmission fluid flush is $100 more than a drain and fill. I then told him to look at my records as I had been going to Jiffy Lube for the last four years and always got a drain and fill because my car has higher miles and I have no records as to it ever having a transmission fluid flush before and by doing a transmission fluid flush could cause my transmission to fail. He just looked at me like I was stupid, said ok and walked away. (This has happened to me before on a previous car so I know what I'm talking about.) 30 minutes later I paid and was on my way. As I get into my car I notice that my brand new very expensive Lexus carpeted floor mat for the driver's seat is completely destroyed and covered in grease and oil! At any other Jiffy Lube I had ever gone to they put down a protective mat for the driver's seat floor mat and even put a plastic cover completely over driver's seat and vacuumed all four of my floor mats while servicing my car. This location did none of that! I think I will just go to the Lexus dealer for service from now on. Yes they are more expensive but, they take much better care and have much more respect for your car. read more

I don't even know where to begin with the horrible customer service I experienced today at this location & I wish I could give less than one star. Please don't go here unless you want to be screamed at aggressively & threatened. I pulled my car in to get an oil change. They told me 45 minutes. I was happy enough to be patient & wait. We went to a restaurant down the street. When it got to be an hour into me dropping my car off and I still noticed it wasn't pulled in yet. I called them and asked them when my car was going to be finished. They told me another 20 minutes. I walked over an hour and a half later simply to ask when my car was going to be done. Lonnie (who claims to be the assistant manger) started raising his voice at me telling me they are short staffed and they will get to it when they get to it. On top of that, it was raining & they left my window open as rain was inside my car. I am a 28 year old & 8 months pregnant & have a man screaming at me. He was screaming so loud that the police officer had to come over and check on the situation. I have never been treated like this in my entire life, especially by someone who I am giving service to. I was more than happy to wait but the tone of voice & the way he was talking to me was so confrontational and aggressive. If that was someone who I employed, I would immediately fire them for their behavior. Even the cop that came over says this happens frequently- it is sad to me that you still have someone that is this aggressive (especially toward a young pregnant girl working for them). And he is a manger at that?? I felt very threatened and scared. I will absolutely never be coming back to that location & I absolutely will to take this as high up as I need to go to have this man removed from this job for his aggressiveness towards me. So I go in to get an oil change. They upsell me on oil change. Ok, I agree. I pay extra $50. They tell me I need coolant topped off. Ok, I agree and pay extra ($5). Ultimately, I'm looking to keep the car reliable and safe for my family. Ask if all the fluids are all topped off, expecting a simple YES. But they say NO, you need power steering fluid. I say ok, top it off. They say sorry, we don't have any. They then recommend I go to WalMart and buy some. I'm a bit shocked. I just spent over $100 on an oil change and you're telling me to buy power steering fluid?? Why wouldn't you have in stock?? Why do I have to make an extra stop when I just paid you to do it?? Why can't you guys get your act together and get power steering fluid? They agree to call me when it comes in. They claim they ordered weeks ago (from corporate) and still hasn't arrived. I ask they call me so I can stop by. They agree. Still haven't received a call. Recommend going elsewhere. These guys are anything but Jiffy, Reliable, Careful. They'll gladly take your money, but slow and unable to do the job. In fact, they'll ask you to do it. Extremely disappointing. Going to my local mechanic from here on. read more

RUINED MY TRANSMISSION! No lie, they ruined the transmission on my Subaru that has less than 20K miles on it. Jiffy Lube suggested that I flush the fluids in my vehicle when I was in for a simple oil change. I found out later, the tech(s) emptied my front differential fluid and overfilled my transmission fluid. I found this out after breaking down on the OH turnpike and being towed to a Subaru dealership on Easter Sunday. Jiffy Lube did cover the cost of a new transmission and rental car for me while it was being repaired, so they did fix their error but it has been a MASSIVE HEADACHE and inconvenience. Learn from my mistake, take your car to the dealership. Don't let these people touch it, they don't know what they're doing. This happened in early April and I just got my vehicle back 2 days ago. Avoid these stores at all cost, but this is the location where the service error happened. read more

I've gone to this place a few times. While it has been fine on occasion (you'll never escape the attempts to up-sell you on things, usually you can easily deflect them), my most recent encounter was terrible here. I went for an oil change and upon arrival, I told them I wanted "whatever I had before", knowing it was the $40-50 oil change. They took my car, I sat down and waited, and then after 10-15 minutes a guy came up to me and wanted to review some things. He told me they were setting me up with the synthetic oil blend because my car required it, which is like $80-90. I said I wanted whatever I had before and he said that is what I had. I then said I knew I did not pay that much. I then told him to show me where I had had that previously. He said he could not pull that up at the moment. We then literally started shouting at each other - it was kind of mess and I'm not that type of person at all. He then miraculously pulled it up and was like, oh yeah, you did have then conventional oil change before. He then proceeded to tell me I was doing harm to my car - who knows, maybe he's right about that, but probably not. I am never going back to this place again because of that guy, it is the worst experience I have ever had at any business. I'm giving this review 2 stars mostly because it's ridiculously hard to get ANYTHING done to a car in Pittsburgh, and jiffy lubes are at least conveniently located and they offer necessary services. However, I recently tried to get my car inspected and ended up making 3 visits without being able to get it done. The first time I just showed up without checking and there was no inspector. Fair enough. The second and third times I was told by different employees to come on those days... aaaand no inspector. Frustrating. read more

Let me start by saying that this is my first review, which means I have some seriously strong feelings about this place for me to get on and write a review. **DO NOT GO THERE** After purchasing THREE Groupons for our family cars, I headed to my nearby Jiffy Lube. The first time I went there, the staff seemed pleasant; however, a bit aloof. They were able to change my oil, as expected, but were not able to rotate my tires (as part of the Groupon) because the two that were there "weren't trained on how to do that yet". After leaving, I realized they didn't turn off my "change oil" light. Ugh. BUT, since I had purchased multiple Groupons, I decided I would take the first car back to get the light turned off while the second car was getting the oil changed and getting a state inspection. The first employee, LONNIE, was incredibly rude. He said that the state inspection machine was broken. Ok, then he said that they didn't have the oil or air filter for our car. Desperate bc I was locked in by the groupon, I asked if it would be possible to install if I personally went to Advanced Auto and purchased the filters. At that point, the manager, Ryan, came in the lobby and said "Yes!" Wahoo, someone with some customer service skills. When I asked when the state inspection machine would be fixed, he said that he could get it to work, that it was only one key on the number pad that had a glitch and that he could get around it. Lonnie, rolled his eyes, used some choice curse words in front of me, my family, and other customers waiting in the room, and stormed off. My family left to head to Advanced Auto to pick up the parts. Upon our return Ryan met us out in the lobby and took the filters from us. When we walked through the garage to tell Ryan that we were going across the street to wait it out in the pub, Lonnie was YELLING AND CURSING at Ryan that "those **ckers need to wait, they are not **cking jumping in front of the other people waiting". Unbelievable. We had just finished telling Ryan that we were not in a hurry and just to text us when the car was done. The other customers in the waiting room were also shocked by the crass behavior of this man. To top it all off, when we left, the car's left rear wheel was making a scraping noise. We took it back today, a third time, to find out what that noise was. Apparently, when they took off the wheel during the state inspection, they left a piece of plastic in the wheel well. Nice..... Very poor customer service and follow up. It has been two weeks that I have been trying to change my tires for winter at this location. Every time I went after work on the weekdays (since they weren't open before my shift started), they said they couldn't fit me in. I was then referred one Wednesday to go that Saturday saying I will be able to have them done. I went on 8am Saturday and was informed that 1) they are completing car inspections today and can't fit me in and when I expressed my frustrations on being referred to come today they said 2) their lift broke earlier that week and couldn't even do it. If it broke earlier that week I shouldn't have been referred!! Frustrating company to attempt to work with as I am new in the Pittsburgh area and have never experienced as poor service as this one. Would not recommend going to them. read more

I recently took my car to the Jiffy Lube in Aspinwall, PA for state inspection. I was told that the car failed inspection due to "rear brake pads below specification". My boyfriend works with a certified mechanic who helped us change all rear brake shoes and front brake pads. When removing the rear brake shoes we noticed that they seemed to be in great condition and didn't appear to have any excessive wear (shocking since the inspection report claimed the right rear had only 1/32 of pad remaining). We took the used brake shoes to 2 different car parts stores (NAPA and AutoZone) and were told by multiple employees at both locations that they were in nearly new shape with very little wear and absolutely no cracking (not surprising since they were only a year old) and they saw no reason that they should have been replaced. I can only reason that this Jiffy Lube location suspected that I would pay them to replace the brakes and that they would make more money off of me that way since there would be no other reason for my car to fail inspection. When this was brought to their attention at re-inspection they didn't appear that concerned and offered no compensation. They even made me pay for the re-inspection even though it was supposed to be free if done within 30 days of the first inspection. This inspector is nothing short of a crook in my opinion and I will never use Jiffy Lube for any service after this experience. It cost me a lot of time and money when the car should have simply passed inspection to begin with. read more

Went there with a Groupon for a conventional oil change. After waiting an hour before being addressed in the waiting room, the person helping me immediately tried to up-sell me on products and services I know I didn't need. After the service was complete I was then charged an additional fee for an "special oil filter", which was not listed as a possibility anywhere. Although this could be a Groupon issue, it is their (Groupon's) policy that it is the merchant's (Jiffy Lube's) responsibility to list and fulfill the services promoted by the voucher. I am disappointed in the lack of visibility, the relentless up-selling of goods and services, and the poor costumer service at Jiffy Lube. I highly recommend doing a just a few minutes of research to find an alternative for car service, there are plenty out there. read more
