I had my annual state car inspection and always dread having to schedule, come in, wait, and pray that everything goes well and speedy. However, this time was different. I attribute this tremendous experience to Tom who did the state inspection for me this year. He was super kind, funny, and informative on what needed done, what to watch out for, and what tips he had to help maintain a great car. 2016 Toyota Camry:Oil change at Firestone, mechanic un-necesssarily took engine splash shield off and never replaced it after oil change. Replacement cost $ 89.00, paid for by myself after everybody at Firestone shrugged their shoulders. Sept. 2025 purchased 4 Firestone Destination LE3 tires for my 2016 Toyota RAV4. Had to go back 3 times because 1 tire had a slow leak ( 1/2 lb. daily ) They re-sealed, changed valves,trashed my TPMS valve, were scratching their chins, wringing their hands instead of saying the tire was faulty and replace it. Mechanics changed jobs, managers disappeared, the place is in chaos, the tire still leaks. It is really sad because " ONCE " it was a good place to take a car to and Firestone tires were good. To this day I have not received my $ 50.00 rebate card and I'll be damned if one of my cars will ride on Firestone tires again. I will not take my car here again. Trust is important and when it is lost, there is no return. My wife wanted me to go here for oil change because this shop is close and would be good quick-stop option. Folks here seemed nice and changed oil, which all I asked. Then they told me I had loose stabilizer bar and needed fuel system flush with filter replacement. I said "yes" to stabilizer bar for safety concern and "no" to fuel system flush, because my car is usually smooth accelerating and performant (WRX). Felt I would get another opinion. When I picked car up and drove home, it felt sluggish like someone had monkeyed with my engine. The drive made me angry. Later found at least 10 missing plastic pop-in fasteners from my air intake and a ripped firewall fabric. Not a fan of folks messing with my car, so whatever business I would have given them is now zero. Would not recommend. read more

These guys tried to charge me $2500 to replace a 2 parts on my suspension. I needed to change my lower rear control arms on both the passenger side and driver side. The parts can be bought at Autozone/Advanced Auto parts for $60 each ($120 total.) These guys are happy to take your money but won't do so at a fair rate. They are banking on folks who don't know cars to come in and charge boat loads of money. They also tried to say my entire exhaust system would need replaced, but I got a second opinion and even saw for it myself. It was totally fine. Save your money, and your dignity. Even if I weren't a girl going to a mechanic's, this would be a five-star experience. But, especially given the stereotypical experience -- you know, where a mechanic might try to sell the naive girl "headlight fluid" -- this was a refreshing experience. Jon, who is I believe is an assistant manager, was very friendly and candid. And when I had questions about a particular repair they recommended for our vehicle, he used a handy diagram, right there on the counter, to explain what particular terms meant. There wasn't a trace of condescension, nor did he use any of the common tactics, to try to pressure me to into certain repairs. He was just factual and friendly. Interestingly, another customer piped in at one point, to tell me what straight shooters they are, here. (He'd heard me on the phone, explaining the worse-than-expected diagnosis to my honey.) I think that says a lot, that a random dude wanted to vouch did the place. This location is very handy, if you're in the South Hills. It's in the same plaza as the Giant Eagle and Walmart, on Library Road, across from Brightwood. read more

Firestone got a bad rap about 15 years ago our whenever it was that the Ford explorer had a tendency to flip because of tire explosions. Even though the fault was with Ford for recommending an under inflated tire for a cushier ride, firestone took a hit. That was when I started buying firestone tires. So what's that got to do with my review? Well I have bought many tires in that time frame. While I have gotten some tires online, and a set of snow tires from another local place, I purchased five complete sets of tires from this particular store. Why? Because they price match what I can get online. If you are looking for firestone, Bridgestone, Fuzion, LeMans, and a few others, then you can get really good deals here. You always seem to need an appointment several days in advance, but otherwise, these guys are good. I purchased a lifetime alignment for my old truck and my old car, and used it frequently. Of the chain service centers in my area, I recommend them as highest in overall ability to diagnose and fix problems. read more

I called on Monday morning 3-4-19 and asked when I could get in for new brakes. They were able to get me in at 5:15pm that night. The three guys that I spoke with were all very nice and friendly and knowledgeable. They did not try to rip me off or up-sell me on anything.They even helped me out with a coupon. I have taken all my vehicles here and never had a bad experience. I was in and out in 2 hours with new brakes and rotors. I will continue to go here. read more

Joe K and the crew at Firestone are incredible. This was my first visit to the location, and I could not have been more pleased. I had my car towed there an hour before my appointment time, yet they took it right into the bay and got it up on the lift and began their work. They found an error that actually saved me $40 (I thought my car was AWD, but it was 2WD), and gave me some helpful opinions on what I might consider in the future. Having auto repair done is never fun and it can be very intimidating, but go to Firestone in Bethel Park and you'll find some of the most honest, helpful people around. All they do is try to rip you off. 3years ago I needed a repair that should have cost $26. They told me I needed 4 new tires for $800. I got out of there as fast as I could and drove down the road and got what i needed for $12. Have had no problems since. read more
