These guys are amazing. It's a small but mighty family-run gas station (full service) and repair shop. Everyone who works there is nice, but Tom in particular is one of the warmest and most pleasant human beings you will ever interact with. As a woman who knows zilch about cars, I'm always wary of being ripped off and told that I need to fix or replace things that aren't actually problematic. So it's very important to me that I take my car somewhere trustworthy. This shop is ethical and does a great job. I trust that they won't try to "nickel and dime" me and sell me things that I don't need. Because they're small, during their busy season it sometimes can take a bit to get an appointment for service. But even if they can't get you in right away, they will do what they can in the moment to help you. For example, I had a malfunction indicator lamp come on in my car this summer, and I called Finks to see about getting it looked at. The earliest available appointment they had was a week out, but they told me to swing my car by that day and they would hook it up to the computer to see if the error code was indicating a problem that could wait a week or if it was serious and I should take it in somewhere else right away. Love that they are so helpful (even when it meant me potentially getting it fixed elsewhere!) I have found their prices to be higher than other places for both repairs and routine things like oil changes and inspections. But for me, you can't really put a price on knowing that your car is in good hands and that you're not being taken advantage of. A very easy 5 stars and 5 cheers for Finks! read more

Amazing service. I got a flat on the road and came to them on my spare tire. I showed up with an unhappy toddler and baby after a long morning of car troubles and they were extremely gracious. They took their time discussing my options, didn't rush or pressure me, and didn't try to oversell. And they were fast! I had to wait with the car and the kids, and I was out in under than an hour with new tires. read more

I went to Fink's Auto for an inspection and an oil change. My car failed the safety inspection in part due to a scratched windshield. There were other issues too. It passed the emissions test. When the guy came out and told me it failed the safety, he gave me an estimate for the needed repairs. Part of the estimate was for a windshield and wipers. I knew I could get the windshield and wipers much cheaper. He said if I got the repairs done elsewhere I would have to pay again for the inspection. I said I understood that. I found a place that was much cheaper for the repairs (which included brakes and a ball joint). That's plain price shopping. My problem with Fink's is they knew they were going to fail me for the safety inspection due to the windshield, and went ahead with the emissions test. They then put the emissions sticker on the old windshield. So I had to pay for the emissions test twice. Plus they charged me for windshield wiper fluid. I've never been charged for windshield wiper fluid, and have some in my basement. It wasn't much, but that bogus charge is insulting. Fink's was recommended to me. I'm writing this review so others might be more informed. read more

My boss uses Fink's for his vehicle needs, but I frequently correspond with them to expedite the process for him. They have never been anything but pleasant and accommodating. After a recently mounted tire began having issues, I was able to call them and they told me to just bring his vehicle in whenever was convenient for me. It's a small, family owned place that you may drive past without even noticing, but their honest work and customer service far exceed anything you'll get from a big chain repair center. read more

Great place, shop was packed but they took care of my tire that blew out on 28 when I had no spare and Mr tire told me it would take all day to sell me and Change one tire. A little pricey, but it was worth it. They were really busy, all bay's full but still only took fifteen minutes to change my tire. Did it right out in the lot. Thank you guys so much. I recommend this place to anyone in a bind like I was. read more

Drove to the Water Works from the zoo and found this awesome station at the end of the Highland Park Bridge. Family-owned and family-operated, three generations of the Fink family run this place. I stopped for gas, and its full-service... A few cents more per gallon, but they checked my tire pressure and cleaned my windshield and Tom was amazingly friendly (he told me all about their family after I asked about the name of the station). Their parking lot was packed with, I'm guessing, cars waiting to be serviced... I'm guessing they do a great service job if my experience with getting gas was any indication. Will be back again, if in the area and going to let my PGH friends and family know about this place. Awesome local business. read more

Sorry, but I disagree with other reviews on here. It may be an old neighborhood family business, but is suspect. Took my car in for an inspection, ended up getting estimate charges for repair of parts of my car which had passed last year with flying colors. I left with the estimate/failed the inspection (paid for labor anyways although I was already suspicious), but passed the emissions portion and got that sticker, according to their estimations. Went across the river to Meinert's in Lawrenceville, was charged $1000.00 LESS by same inspection review of car, and also, they found that the emissions test sticker I had passed at Fink's was filled out to incorrect expiration date!! I'm not driving a hunk of junk, high mile-aged old car, by the way. As far as I can see, this place takes advantage of the person who doesn't know much about cars, and only has "attention to detail" for finding any and everything, nickle and dime-ing, that "could" possibly be found to need repair for their high labor charges, along with very little attention to detail for even simple correct dates placed on the inspection stickers? Simply, no thanks. read more
