Two hours later after over filling the oil and having to remove some of it, they told me the cost which was 60% higher than the quoted price. They said it took more oil than they had planned. These people are total rip-offs. I went there May 4, 2020. There was a sign posted that oil changes were $29.99. Well - when I drove up - they informed me "blah blah blah" and said that It would be $69.99. I said that that was too dayum much for an oil change and attempted to drive off. They said that since we were in our current (covid-19) situation that they would take off $10 dollars. I was in a rush, and since I needed to go , I reluctantly decided to go thru with it. At the end, they still gave me a bill for about $70.00 dollars. When I question them, the response was "We needed to put an extra quart of oil in your car" They are full of crap - why did no one tell me this in advance. I will never visit the location nor recommend. By the way, this was all done by the so called MANAGER! Who PAYS $70.00 dollars for a dang on oil change?? RIP OFF!!!! read more

Called this location while on the way to a Paris, TX. My wife's 2016 BMW X1 required an oil service. Based on the reviews and after talking to Bill on the phone we decided to get our service done at this location. Once we got there, Bill the manager was warmly greeted and welcomed us. He quickly informed us that he did not have the required oil filter in stock. However he told us that he could have the filter there quickly. I gave him the ok and it worked out for us because we were able to walk next door to the Sonic and get lunch. Within 5 minutes of walking back the car was finished and we were able to continue our trip. Overall I could not be more pleased with the service and the outstanding customer service provided by Bill and his team. Keep up the good work and God bless. read more

This was a highly unusual experience, in that Jiffy Lube visits are usually pro forma, go through the motions deals. In, wait, out, and good bye. This place had all the requisite services but with special attention and friendly service people. Even the woman in the pit was featured in a photo on the wall, along with her background. None of this was "canned" or forced but genuine, and the folks there also answered my questions and saw to it that my individual specifications for sticker length, tire pressure, etc. were attended to. When I asked that the music be turned down a tad so I could read a book, they turned it completely off. And I don't believe there's an annoying TV (which at many places is turned to an idiotic soap opera or cooking show) to intrude on one's reading or thoughts while waiting. From what I can see, there are 4 Jiffy Lube locations in Amarillo. This one is worth going out of your way to choose. read more

Very discourteous employees, I went in and told the man at the front desk that my son would be there any minute to get hIs vehicle serviced. He said fine and I went outside to make a very important call while I was waiting and while I was talking another employee interrupted me and asked me to move my vehicle because I was in an employee parking spot. To do that while I was on the phone was extremely rude and as far as could tell the location was not marked and there was no other designated place available to park. I did not inform the employee at the front desk because three people were line and did not want to hold things up for them. Needless to say they don't need my business. I did go to another Jiffy Lube and they were great. This employee was extremely rude and unprofessional and I would recommend you go somewhere else. read more

These guys were awesome! If I lived in Amarillo I would make the drive to them for my oil change. My maintenance light came on while driving to Colorado and we stayed overnight in Amarillo. So I did a search for the nearest oil change by our hotel and thank God I went to these guys. So nice, did an excellent job, cleaned the thousands of bugs on my windshield and checked all my fluid levels. My only complaint would be that maybe they thought I would do any service they felt my car needed because I am a woman and know nothing about cars. read more

Vehicles in need of inspection beware!! This Jiffy lube is trying to run a scam! William Lavrar will fail your vehicle inspection on grounds of a cracked serpentine belt. The serpentine belt is not part of Texas state inspection. He will offer to fix for 90 dollars. Do not let him fix it for you. More than likely your belt is perfect. Tell him you will fix it yourself and take it to another place of inspection. read more

The employees are friendly, but don't trust them. They up charge every little thing and charge way too much. I let my wife take her car up there and they took advantage of her trusting them. The coolant was a little low, they told her that she needed it so she said ok and they charged her $12.00 to top it off. A whole bottle at advanced auto is $12.00. Not only that, but I have some at home. They made her feel like she would be safe driving without it. Very unhappy with them taking advantage of people, I think of all the unsuspecting individuals that fall for this kind of crap. Will not go back. read more

This is the only Jiffy Lube I go to in town! I bring all of my vehicles here, personal and business, and have for about 4 years. Nice sitting area, good music. The employees here are friendly, respectful, and as efficient as they can possibly be. Even during a busy time for them, I don't think I've ever waited for more than 30 minutes or so. And that was okay with me, because I would rather wait for them to do a good job that I know will be done right, than get something half-done too quickly somewhere else. The shop manager, Bryan, cares about his customers and their vehicles. He isn't afraid to go above and beyond, either! He has taken photos before of an issue I had in my car and emailed them to me so I could show it to an auto shop to get it fixed. I know he didn't have to do that, but he did! He emphasizes that kind of customer service and high quality work to his employees. He doesn't want them to just do the job, he wants them to enjoy it because it increases quality. I don't usually see a grumpy worker here. The employees are often smiling while they work. I've never had an issue with my vehicle after coming except one time, and I took it back in and they fixed me right up! Not again!! I've had bad luck at Jiffy Lube in Los Angeles with the sales person lying to me and then here again in Amarillo. How does a $24.99 advertised special oil change turn out to be $82? They tell you that you have to have a certain type of oil or it voids the warranty, they don't apply the coupons for the special and tell you that it's programmed into the computer, etc. After I complained that I asked for the $24.99 special and that no one told me about the surcharge on the synthetic blend, the rep at least made a partial price correction. However, the normal Signature Service includes synthetic oil and there is a $7 off coupon at their website which I would have taken advantage of if I wanted to pay full price for synthetic oil. Needless to say, I am not happy!! The service techs were awesome and did everything I asked for, AND that's the only reason that I didn't give 1 star. I will not return to Jiffy Lube. My sister loves them, so it's a 50/50 with our family. All I can say is be sure you know exactly what you are getting and don't let them try to up-sell you on anything. Oh, and make sure you know how to reset you oil maintenance reminder light - they didn't reset mine before I drove out. read more
