Driving from Northern Colorado to South Texas, we were close to Amarillo and I needed air in my tires. When we tried to air them up, one of the back nozzles popped off, so we had to change a spare late at night. On Sunday, most of our usual tire stores are closed (dealership and discount tire), so we opted for this Firestone. The guys were super friendly and replaced the nozzle on my tire for no charge and in so little time since I came in right when they opened. Traveling from New Mexico to Texas and we ended up getting a flat tire in the middle of the night on I-40. Enterprise recommended we talk to Chase at Firestone to get it fixed, so that we could get back on our way. Chase helped us out tremendously. Not only was he super professional and kind, but he noticed we were weary from our roadtrip and needed to get back on the road, so he had our tire changed quickly, getting us back on the road within 30 minutes. I was super impressed by Chase and blow away by his customer care. He turned a really awful situation into a small blip in the road! Drove by, saw no cars being worked on in the bay, so I went in to see if they could look at my freon leak. Three workers were sitting in the lobby chairs, on their phones. One got up to greet me and let me know they wouldn't be able to look at my car until Wednesday. It is Monday. As I left, I stepped into the bay to get a good look to make sure I was counting exactly how many cars were in there being worked on. Yep, I can still count to zero. Also, add another three workers in the bay, sitting down, on their phones, bringing the total to six. I did see a woman in the corner at a desk but I assume she wasn't an on duty mechanic. I won't count her. One of the men asked if he could help me. I told him what the man inside said, and he looked awful puzzled. Six workers, sitting on their butts, playing on their phones, and no cars in the bay, but they can't look at mine for another two days? Wrong. read more

This is Firestone located in 2201 Coulter St S, Amarillo, TX 79106 On February 21 (Sunday) I went to firestone to have my car fix. My car have engine light on. I also want to have oil change. I paid $ 216.62 for diagnostics and oil change. They told me to come back the next day because they need to order parts. The next day February 22 (Monday), I went back and paid $ 209.52 for the parts and labor. After one week on February 28 (Sunday), the check engine light comes on again. So I brought my car back to firestone. They told me that the oxygen sensor they put on my car is not compatible with my car so they need to order another part and need to come back the next day. On March 1 (Monday), I told my employer that I can't work because I need to go to firestone to have my car fix. While driving to firestone, a representative from firestone called my phone and told me that they receive the parts for my car but its the wrong parts and that they need to order another part and it will be delivered on Wednesday March 3. On March 4 (Thursday), I called firestone and ask them if they have the correct parts already. They told me that I can come anytime to have my car fix. So I told my employer that I need to go to firestone. When I arrive in firestone, the technician told me that they have the wrong parts again and that he will again order another part that will be delivered the next day. I told the technician, that I need my money back and he processed a refund for me. He refunded $ 209.52. The technician told me that he cannot refund the $107 diagnostics fee because he was able to diagnose my car. After all these troubles, I can't understand why do I need to go back to firestone just to be informed that they have the wrong part? I'm driving two hours just to go to firestone. Your technicians are not well trained. Please make sure you have the best technicians. ! read more

I cannot recommend this fire stone tire shop. They refused to fix a tire instead they just want to sell new tires even if you've just bought them yesterday. So I went home learned how to fix a tire myself and found out it's really easy. Fire stone is fired! From now on I'm fixing my own tires. Just go watch a video on the Internet it's really easy to do and only cost about $12 in tools. And you can do it in about 10 minutes. read more

Had a flat tire in a rental truck that ended up being shredded and Chase, the manager, was able to get the tire replaced promptly. I dropped off the tire/rim right as the shop was opening and called about 1.5 hours later. I was informed that there was no rim damage and the new tire had been installed. Staff was able to take off the spare and store it under the truck bed and install the new tire. Great Service. read more

Absolute top notch customer service. The only reason I did not give it five stars is because it is somewhat expensive, but that is probably because it is owned by a corporation. The guy who helps people when they first walk in, has excellent customer service and is very knowledgeable. The mechanics in the back are all very nice too. When I got my oil changed, the mechanic even left me a very nice thank you note. That's the first time any mechanic has ever done that for me. I highly recommend this place. And if you work at BSA, you get a 10% discount. Don't forget to ask for it. They will be happy to give it to you. read more

Walked in at 10am Cody tells me he only has 1 tech everyone else quit today . I said I understand how long is wait. He tells me after the truck getting tires I'm the next ticket give him and hour or so. I said I'll wait and go across street to eat. Get back hour and half my cars still in parking lot 3 other cars in and 1 pulling out I ask what happened I get nothing but lip from service manager Chris Mackey how he took in cars of people waiting that came in AFTER me. I said etc I was waiting but across the street now he gives me nothing but attitude and had balls to call my wife a bich yeah I heard you and now giving me nothing but a bad attitude because I rightfully got upset over his bs call. Starting to see why all but one of your employees quit today. Oh and the free brake check he shined a flash light thru my rims. Must think I'm an idiot. That's ok for front pads but did that flash light go thru the rear drums so you can see the pads. Piss poor pathetic service. I've been going to various Firestone for 20 years and this has to be the worst one ever. read more

I just found out, after 45 minutes of filling out paperwork and verifying business account info, that the tires I ordered were not there. They sold them to someone else after they received them. They kept us waiting for 45 minutes before telling us "the good, the bad, and the good" news. All lies. They said the battery was fine (we are headed to autozone to get it replaced after we finish up at Discount Tire because it just sputtered again starting up) - I'm not convinced they ever even tested it like they claimed. Which brings me to lie #2 - "we don't have the tire, but I called Discount Tire and they have 2 of your exact tire in stock". Well, here we are, 1.5 hours later at DT. They don't have the exact tire and didn't get a call from anyone at Firestone - they had a more expensive similar model, and they are putting it on now. What a waste of my time, and shame on them for the load of BS. read more

Absolutely amazing customer service! I was traveling from Houston to Denver and underwent an ordeal at a Houston Firestone days before the drive (wanted tires rotated and an oil change, walked out with 2 new tires, a new alignment, new battery, and new brake fluid). As I was driving through Fort Worth, my car started shaking and pulling very hard to the left. I decided to have it looked at when we got to Amarillo. I called this Firestone the next morning and Chase was able to immediately fit us in. After inspecting my car, he said it appeared the Houston Firestone did the alignment on the front tires but didn't even touch the back tires and they installed the two new tires on the same side rather than balanced. He fixed the alignment and rotated the tires free of charge! If I am ever near Amarillo again, I would definitely take my car back here! read more

Our brakes locked on the way back from Colorado. We towed the car into them (AAA) at 4pm on Sunday. They took the tires off, drained some of the extra fluid, and got it working again, but they did not charge us because they said they weren't sure if they fixed it or simply the time we waited to get the tow truck fixed it. They spent about 45 minutes doing analysis on the car and didn't charge me anything. I have never had that happen before. They didn't even try to up-sell. Amazing. Really nice guys as well. I discovered a slow leak on one of my truck tires when I was leaving my hotel at 6:00 AM. I showed up at Firestone at 7:00 am without an appointment and Chase and his team took my truck in and fixed my tire and had me on my way at 7:30 am. Went to this shop to get my inspection completed. When I asked the rep at the front "how long will it take?", she told me about 45 minutes. I told her that would be fine, I was going to go eat lunch and then come back in about an hour. After I got back in a little over an hour later, I approached her to see if my car was ready. She it was going in next. 2 cars went before it did. While I was waiting I was observing the employees in the garage and saw one guy eating Fritos in the corner for about 15 minutes another guy was sitting on a stool reading. This went on for quite awhile. In all, my car was there for 2 1/2 hours. In the end. It only 5 minutes to complete the inspection. I will never go to any Firestone again. read more

I went to get an inspection done and there was no one being serviced in the garage at the time and I was told it would be 2-3 hours. I know inspections are not profitable but everyone has to have one. I drive a newer car so what would have taken 5 minutes has now resulted in a mad customer. read more

Thank you Firestone! We had a flat tire due to a Mesquite thorn. Even though we had to wait over an hour for the plug in the tire, you did it for free! For FREE! We were traveling to California and in the gushing rain of late August 2016 you cut the thorn out and plugged the tire. It got us all the way to central California and as of today, Sept 7, it is still holding up well. Us two grey haired ladies want to thank you for your kindness and willingness to help us even though you had many cars waiting in line. And you didn't charge us at all...how sweet. Thank you again. HUGE RIP-OFF!!!!!!!!! I took my car in because it barely started. They called me and said the battery was bad-although it had been checked 3 weeks before. They replaced it and then called me to say the alternator was bad too. They replaced that also and I paid $463 and went home. The next time I drove, it barely started again. Later that day , it wouldn't start at all. They towed it back to the shop and called me to say that now the starter was dead too!!!!! For a mere $560 they would change that too!!! I had it towed.somewhere else to somebody a little more respectable. What a bunch of scam artists!!!! read more
