Wow I will NEVER go back to this Jiffy Lube!!! Steven is not friendly at all and the customer service is not like the Jiffy Lube in McHenry. They couldn't find the leak yet there are puddles on my garage floor??? $95 for full synthetic which is way more than I've paid in the past. After he rang it up I remembered there are coupons so I searched and found one for $10 off and Steven was not happy that he had to come back and give me a credit. The McHenry Jiffy Lube would have helped me with a coupon immediately and been super nice about it. Last time I was here they broke something on my glovebox and it's never been the same. Been coming here for years to get my oil change was running low on air in my tire on my way to visit my father-in-law in the hospital stopped and they said well you'll have to go next-door because we're just too busy to give you Air in the tire it was more of an attitude then it was an issue of them not being able to do it. The service was good, and the manager was nice. However, the prices are way out of wack. I will normally pay 60-70 dollars for synthetic and I get six quartz for an oil change. The price was 110 dollars!!!! My jaw hit the floor. The manager gave me a discount that brought the bill down to 89 dollars. Now I know why they were not busy in the morning when I pulled up. the prices are designed to rip you off. I will not be back. read more

Be prepared to be treated like currency instead of a customer. They recommended an unnecessary up sell to my son (premium, high mileage oil). He said fine so that's what they did. I called when I saw the bill and talked to Steve the manager. I inquired about a courtesy credit of $15 since were repeat customers and we always buy the same standard service vs the premium service. Steve refused. I said fine, you just lost a repeat customer. I'm looking for a replacement service provider if anyone has a recommendation. But I'm staying away from chains like jiffy lube because they're more interested in taking money out of your wallet than building a trustworthy relationship IMO read more

The "new" management at this location has a mission to up-sell. It's okay to offer a better product, it's is normal and everyday occurrence but these guys are pushing it. They claimed that we had premium oil changes at their store before (synthetic) and assumed that we wanted it again because it's what the computer said. Not so, we've never had the synthetic oil change on the car and they refused to show us the computer history showing that we'd had it previously. We would have remembered shelling out $80 or $90! I am tied of the up sell pressure especially if your car has over 75k. Reading on the internet, if you change your oil every 300-3500 miles, you do not need high mileage oil. Also they have a banner that states a 24.99 old change. when you go to pay, they try to charge you $44.00. Its not until you tell them. Walked in and immediately felt uncomfortable. More like I was interrupting their break time. That said, got my oil changed, after my 5 minute lecture from the employee on the list of "manufacture suggested maintenance" was due. I won't comment on that other than someone is making money on the suggested maintenance. Think about it. Picked up my car, drove home to find the TPS go off, checked the tire pressure and one was low, that would be the one with the cap off. I have been servicing three of my vehicles from this location. While the service has not been stellar each time, I have noticed a significant deterioration of service over the last few months. Bottom line: I was disappointed with the quality of their servicemen and the blatant lack of basic knowledge! Terrible never Coming back!! Today I took my Honda to them to get my Viper blades changed...... that's all. Here's what happened - waited 20 mins before the car was pulled in - waited 20 more mins and then a mechanic came in and asked me to select the wiper. I had changed my wiper 7 months back at this location and they offered to install wiper from the same company again. I asked if the had better ones and they said no. - then I asked what is the life expectancy on an average and I was told since the average for everyone is different, it depends. I thought fair enough - then I gave them some numbers based on my usage and they still could not answer ... even a range! - I asked them to drive out the vehicle since then did not want to deal with amateurs anymore. when they drove the vehicle out, I noticed the entertainment system asking for password. This basically meant someone had disconnected the battery. When I asked them why they did not have an answer but did mention that the car was stuttering when they tried to pull in. When do asked why, they told me they had no idea, perhaps the battery, they said. I asked if they had checked the battery and the responded with " do you want us to"? I was disappointed with the quality of servicemen and the blatant Lack of basic knowledge! read more

I usually take our car & truck to this Jiffy Lube. Are they pricey? Yes. Do they provide a quick service with prompt and courteous customer service? - Yes. So, really what it comes down to is "are you willing to pay a bit more for quick and courteous service." I am. They do try to up-sell you on their product offering but simple No, No, No.... to their questions moves the process along. I know the up-selling bothers some people, but its a part of their business and I just deal with it. Always have a good experience when I go there. Plus if you ask them for $10 bucks off the oil change, they give it to you no questions asked. Basically, the equivalent to an early bird special for their regular oil change service. read more

I have no problem stopping here for a quick oil change, however the additional upgrades are to say the least extremely high!! When I called the auto parts store across the street for my cost on the cabin and engine air filters and total I was under 20.00, but jiffy lube wants 39 each, I say no way. I popped in for an oil change and a crew member immediately met me at my car. I explained that I wanted to ask about a certain oil that my car manufacturer recommends I use, so the member escorted me inside to inquire. After learning the cost for this higher-priced synthetic oil, I decided I wasn't ready/able to pay that amount and declined service. While leaving, a manager (?) wanted to help me out by offering me a discount, since I was already there inside. We agreed on a price and I was walked back in to the waiting area. Didn't take long to do the job and get on my way. Very polite group -- and little did they know they made my day (having just come from finalizing my divorce that morning). (The only negative: One of the services included is cleaning the outside windows. I noticed as I drove away, the windows were quite smeared, as if using a dirty rag/water. Didn't want to turn around at that point, so I'll just wipe them down myself). read more

No big deal. 5:15 rolls around, one bay was open, 2 of the 3 original cars were still being worked on, my car hasn't even been pulled into the garage yet, and not one update from their staff. I left. This is probally the slowest Jiffy Lube. I used to bring multiple vehicles here, but after one of the managers left, it went down hill. On multiple occasions I have waited an hour before my car was even brought in the bay. The customer service is okay, but I have had negative interactions with one of the managers. When I go to the Geneva Jiffy Lube, it always in and out in under 30 minutes. Today, I am still waiting on my car to be serviced at Algonquin and it has been 1 hour. Its a Tuesday morning. Watching these guys and how inefficient they are drives me crazy. read more

My last visit for an oil change was fast yes...but it left me stranded an hour away from my house with a 4 month old baby. They didn't hook up two important hoses back to the engine when they took out my air filter and I stalled out. Had to get it to a mechanic who said he sees this all the time with 10 minute oil change places. The time before this I had an oil leak all over the garage and took it back in. Turned out they forgot to put the oil pan back in. I wouldn't go back here. read more

The young workers were such nice gentleman. I had a sleeping infant in the back seat of my car. They allowed me and my sleeping baby to remain in the car during the entire service. The workers ran in and out of the office with a clip board for my signature and my credit card to make the transaction. Their kindness was so appreciated! I didn't even share with them that sleeping baby just had a heart transplant 3 months ago. When I shared that information they were so nice and all the young workers wished my daughter and I the best of luck. This is why I will always do business there!!! read more

new management sucks. Had always had good service there.Just went through their car wash.car wash broke half way through.I was stuck in there for 15 min and could get out as it was spraying water and soap and a brush was spining by the door. worst part is,they let someone else through car wash while i was still in there and the automatic machine that pushes your car along kept ramming the car into my back end.now i have dnet and deep scratches on back bumper.The owmer steve, who seemed nice when he wanted to sell something , showed his true colors and all he would offer me is another car wash on another day.I didnt even get my money returned on the incomplete car wash as i drove out full of soapy suds all over my car....nightmare. read more

Will no longer be going to Jiffy Lube for my car's oil change. Went today and left disappointed! Pulled up and was greeted by an employee and when I asked him how his day was he responds "terrible." Great first impression. I was then informed they no longer have the signature oil change. Their oil change packages now start at $38.99. High pressure sales finally drove me away after many years of using their service. Yes, they'll get your oil changed usually in a reasonable time, though you can get the same service cheaper at a lot of other places. But based on my experience, NEVER let them sell you other services without checking your car manufacturer's recommendations first. Their schedule of services for your car (including the oil change itself) can be significantly different than what's in the owners manual, and they even try to sell services that the manufacturer doesn't recommend at all. And if you hesitate in the slightest they will have you believing that you're taking chances if you don't get it done now. My suggestion is that if you are getting your oil changed there, leave it at just that. Seems they make most of their money on the highly marked up other services. But be ready to say no to their high pressure sales. read more
