I don't think this is the best quality food in terms of what I ate this time (a rice dish + dry pot) but it sure does hit the spot. Nice flavors and menu variety. Pretty comforting food priced reasonably. I will say though I typically go here for jianbings and enjoy it every time!

Signature Jian Bing

Saw some complaints about a long wait, but we were able to get our order in a few minutes. The Jian Bing had all the components - egg, crepe, crispy thing in the middle, sweet and spicy sauce, green onions and cilantro. Flavor wasn't bad, but the crepe was pretty soft compared to what I was hoping for. This scratches the Jian Bing itch, but not my favorite version of it.

it's ok! i've had much better (corgi jianbing in LIC), but was craving some and there aren't too many options in manhattan. this was very conveniently located in food gallery 32, where my friends and i were grabbing dinner. it's a bit pricey for what it is, and the various add-ons feel a bit high, but the jianbing was fresh and tasted good. it could have used a bit more sauce and flavor, and i wish it had been easier to eat (ie wrapped in wax paper) as it comes apart pretty easily. the service was friendly and fast, and the food court is always packed so be sure to find a seat as you're waiting for your food!

Not sure why all the low reviews from others but I really enjoyed mine. It's a bit pricey ($15 after meat add on). You can definitely get it for $8 in flushing for the same thing

Jian Bing Man's Tasty Plain Jian Bing with Egg, Green Onion, Sesame, Cilantro and Classic (Non Spicy) Sauce
Mike R.

If you're unfamiliar with Jian Bing, it's a Chinese crepe with egg, sauce, and other stuff. You can have it for breakfast or later in the day. My first experiences were at Joe's Steamed Rice Roll and Eight Jane in Flushing, which sets a pretty high benchmark. Jian Bing Man is in a K-town food court and offers a lot more than just Jian Bing. On this occasion, I've had a hankering for a Jian Bing like what I enjoyed in Queens. Went for the $5.99 Plain Jian Bing, which has the whole grain crepe, egg, green onion, sesame, cilantro, and (my choice) their classic (non spicy) sauce of soybean paste, peanut sauce and sugar. While I recognize that these stalls can get busy with limited grills and help, it took a long time and was clear that lack of organization created a bottleneck before making the order then added at least 10-15 minutes once I ordered. (That's about the amount of time no crepes were being cooked on the Jian Bing grills.) That being said, my Jian Bing was tasty! Regardless be warned - If you go there and there's anyone waiting to order in front of you, I suggest you go elsewhere (like the delicious, reasonably priced, self-serve Woorijip across the street) to save yourself a 1/2 hour or more.

I was in the area running an errand and because of the rain, I was in mood for something warm and soulful! I am a big fan of Chinese Pancakes because of its size and simplicity! I ordered their signature ($8.99) which included an egg, sauce, green onions, cilantro and a crispy fritter(basically a deep fried thin cracker). I opted for the Hot bing it(regular spicy) plus a sausage which was an additional 2 dollars. As I watched him skillfully spread the batter out thin and then crack a beautiful egg on top before sprinkling some sesame seeds, scallions and cilantro. He also coated the pancake ima generous amount of sauce before proceeding to add the rest of the ingredients and folding it up. Taking my first bite, it really hit the soul warming chord in my stomach! But I must say that the prelude was great.. but my wrap was not wrapped super tight and the wrap came apart after a few more bites. I am glad I added a sausage because otherwise- the pancake would feel pretty hollow. My only feedback would be I wish they added at minimum a complimentary protein. Their flavors were on point and for the price of $11 in k- town to fill you up is hard to come by unless you're only eating bakery bread. :)

It's a rainy night so we decided to get it delivered. Ate it right away... so it was not soggy! It was delicious. I could eat this for breakfast or snack everyday.

Bf ordered this after a Knicks game and said it was delicious. It was pretty value compared to my dad bowl of udon on the bottom ordered from another kiosk. The soup tasted super umami but have water ready. Probably a lot of msg in there.

I have been to K town food court many times and this is one of my fav spots! The food serving sizes are good and taste is great too. Tried their chicken stir fry and pork stir fry and both were good. Also they give you alot of assortments and all with your food. Would defo go back!

Signature Jian Bing

Jian Bing Mann. Haha not sure where they got the man from. We saw the line for this at the food gallery so we wanted to test the hype. We saw everyone get something called the "Jian Bing". There were 3 different types but we just went with the signature. From first impression, It looked super interesting and crispy. The first bite was definitely a crunch, but we found ourselves crunching a bit too much. It was made of flour, egg and crackers and supposedly a popular street food of the Chinese. My favorite part about all this is they cook it made to order in front of you.

Special jian bing with bbq chicken
Mia C.

Good for something quick. Got the signature jian bing and added bbq chicken. Flavors were good and it was very filling. Just what you would expect for around $12 at a place in an Asian food hall. Not many places for this near midtown so happy this is available! Definitely eat it soon after buying it or it'll get a bit soggy. Nice staff as well! There are tables to sit at in the food hall and seemed to be plenty of space.

Mini-Hot Pot (SEAFOOD)
Aleena G.

Stopped by here for a good warm lunch and it's one of the stores in the food court in ktown. Decided to get the seafood mini hotpot which is about $18 but I would say it's pretty good for the amount that you get. Service was pretty quick and straight to the task as expected and the ambiance cthere can get a bit packed especially during lunch and dinner time hours. Not bad at all and would explore the other food option they have.

I had the signature jianbing for a late night bite. It was my first jianbing and it was good but I thought it lacked a bit of salt.

Without add ons, each pancake costs ~ $10. However, it just does not taste the same as the ones in china.

I ordered the house fry rice. It was sticky rice. Or white rice with soy sauce. I got the $19. Bowl. Only three shrimps. Very disappointed.

Got off the E train and when we looked for Chinese food, this place popped up with good reviews and it was just a short walk from where we got off the train. My buddies ordered the special lunches and we also got two types of xlb's, beef chow fun, and some fried dumplings. The special lunches come with a little fried rice, cold garlic flavored noodle, choice of egg drop or hot and sour soup, and main side. My buddies all enjoyed their meals. The beef chow fun was also really good and beef was nice and tender. The xiao long baos were excellent and is comparable to any place in California like DTF. Nice and juicy and great with some ginger, soy sauce, and spicy chili. Friendly service and food comes out pretty quickly. Credit card is accepted. Bathroom was also very clean, which is sometimes rare in some Chinese restaurants I have been to. If you're looking for a good Chinese meal, stop here when you're in the Chelsea area.

I hadn't been to EDH in a while and was happy to see they do have later hours (with a smaller late night menu). The place was pretty busy at 10:00 PM last Saturday, with a wide range of diners, which is good for business. The food though, at least that night, was really disappointing. My friend had the chicken dumplings. He said they were okay. I thought they were overcooked. My steamed shrimp shumai were fine, but steamed, they didn't have much flavour. The edamame, on the other hand, had way too much when it should have almost none. I don't know if it was excess salt, MSG or something else, but not good. I should have sent them back. I hope this was just an off night for the kitchen.

The pacing of the meal for the quantity of food received seemed very rushed, and we didn't really have a chance to relax and enjoy any of the courses. However, the quality of the experience was a complete disaster particularly for the price. Clearly, the packed restaurant would disagree, but for the four of us anyway, we would not return. It started with the check in process at what felt like a long hotel front desk with multiple, self important hosts and hostesses overseeing your entrance to the cavernous bar/waiting area. One problem is the noise is so deafening that you can't really hear what they say to you but we check in a few minutes early and waited obediently in the bar area chatting. After about 30 minutes (15 after our reservation time), and watching numerous parties large and small who arrived after us be seated by the hostesses wandering through the dimly lit space who peer quizzically and ask your name, my husband went to ask for an update. (We joked that those vibrating lighted buzzers alerting when your table was ready would have been super helpful, but it was amusing to watch while we waited). It was clear they somehow lost track of us as she had him repeatedly spell our (not unusual) name. Anyway, after that, within 10 minutes after that we were taken downstairs to our seats (but not before standing awkwardly in the large dining area near packed tables waiting while our table was cleaned). Server with a heavy accent was kind and mostly helpful so none of this is on him. The busser who managed to spill half a pitcher of cold water on my husband's back, soaking his shirt and jacket and barely apologizing, is a whole other story. We managed to get a glass of his mediocre Cabernet comped for the experience. If I sound annoyed, I guess I still am. I had high hopes for a fun and tasty experience in a cool part of the city and it just wasn't.

I'm a lower middle-class Jersey guy - what the heck do I know about cocktails?  But I dove right into one ("Jade Collins") and it was firing on all cylinders.  Crisp, clean, strong enough to knock over an ox. Then we got a handful of apps - everyone else swore by all the ones they'd had - but I just tried the Salt & Pepper Shrimp and... sweet baby Jesus, this little plate had a wicked amount of flavor from every angle.  "Aggressively seasoned" might be an understatement.  Wild. Onto the mains and I ventured towards their Spicy Drunken Noodle (my go-to whenever I'm hitting a Thai restaurant on my home turf) and... yeah, you probably guessed it - incredible. Not the biggest portion but they made every single component sing with flavor. With so much going on - of course I needed to indulge with another drink (hey, I wasn't driving!). There were six of us, it came to about $100 a person... welcome to NYC. But we did get a wide selection of plates/food and those two drinks accounted for about $40 of my tab. (And you'll never see such a heavy wine pour at a restaurant... they filled the glass almost to the rim - which was not even something I'd do for myself when I'm home.) Definitely recommended.
