My bathroom was very outdated and probably hadn't been updated since the house was constructed in 1960. I met with more than five contractors and from the start, Yovel proved he had experience, a point of view on what would work for us, and an easy going manner. LB's quote was fair and they were upfront about potential change orders or other costs that might come up (not surprising for such an outdated bathroom!). Throughout the project, Yovel kept me updated on progress and sought my opinion when different options were available on how to proceed. In one instance, he came up with a great way to cut the tile so I could avoid paying for a whole extra box. The updates were particularly important for me because I didn't stay at the house during this renovation, because this was my only bathroom. I gave me the peace of mind that everything was under control when I couldn't personally be there to oversee things or give input. The bathroom turned out AMAZING and it's easily my favorite room in the house now. I would happily work with them again on my next home renovation.

I called a few businesses but didn't get the same vibe when asking lots of questions. Oscar was patient with my questions. Oscar was also very flexible with the timeframe of the project as I had to delay a couple times due to Covid. When the project finally began, it was full steam ahead. The project took about 5 weeks but we have a second bathroom so it wasn't as painful. Renovations aren't cheap in the first place so keep in mind you get what you pay for and we paid good $$ to get great work done. He is a busy man, so expect small delays but his work is top notch. Doting the project, Hector, his helper discovered that our toilet was broken and replaced it with a like new Toto toilet at no charge. On a separate note, my wife works from home and they were very respectful of that and did their best to keep the door to the bathroom closed so as to dampen the noise level. I would recommend this business to anyone looking for a contractor with integrity and fair prices. We are also looking to hire him back for our kitchen remodel. Thanks Oscar and Hector!! We love the new bathroom!!

He was punctual, communicative, and most importantly, did excellent work for us! He was also very honest. Dave helped us realign a door that had been leaking water into the house on super rainy days, install new waterproofing around our garage door, and also worked on two of our sinks - both work so well now, we don't know why we waited so long! Also, for anyone with pets in the house, Dave is very comfortable with animals and was so cautious around our curious cat. We'll definitely be working with Dave again!

I've never had to use a Water Restoration service before so I browsed trusty Yelp and reached out to Fire & Water Damage. Glad fellow Yelp friend Karen W gave a glowing review! They seem to answer calls 24/7 and I was able to schedule an appointment quickly. Mike was main point of contact and gave us an estimate and scope of work. Basically, they had to tear out the drywall and insulation from the wet area, dry and dehumidify the area for days, and then put on moon suits and remove any mold. We were able to have 2 techs come on a Friday and then let the dehumidifier run over the weekend. We also had to tear out our upper cabinet since the top was damaged by water. On Monday, they came back to remove any leftover mode and patch things up. The total price came in well below the estimate, which is a huge plus. Very happy with the service and efficiency. If you ever suspect you have water damage from leaks, call these guys and get the problem resolved to ensure mold doesn't form or worst, spread. Note that their services are purely restorative - they'll dry out the water-damaged area and get rid of all the mold. You'll need to hire a plumber first to stop the leaks and then afterwards, a drywall contractor to patch up the holes with insulation and new drywall followed by texturing and painting.

They provided a very fair quote, but we ended up having to put the project on hold. When we were finally ready to revisit it, they were willing to honor the original estimate, which we really appreciated. This is our first home and the first major renovation project we've undertaken, so we were a little apprehensive going into the process. We ultimately decided to expand the project into a full remodel, and even with the additional scope, the updated price remained very reasonable and close to what we had originally expected to spend. Once the project started, everything moved quickly and smoothly through each phase. Communication was timely and responsive, which helped keep the project moving efficiently from start to finish. Tony, the foreman, and his team were extremely detail-oriented and did exceptional work. The craftsmanship really shows in the finished bathroom. Everything looks carefully installed and precise, and the tile work in particular is incredibly clean. We're extremely happy with how the bathroom turned out and with the overall experience, especially for our first major home project. We would use them again for future projects and highly recommend them.

Would not recommend if you care about communication, attention to detail, or high end materials…read more The project manager rarely communicated any timelines or updates to me, and only proactively messaged me to ask for payment. Their stone fabricator is clearly inexperienced with high end natural stone. There were many chips in my kitchen counter installation, and they were unable to fill it in in a polished way. They made irreversible decisions without talking to me first. And at the end of the day the only possible resolution was to compensate for the issues. For a middle of the road, average renovation where you don't care too much about the details, they did a decent job with those areas.

As stressful at it is to have people in your house everyday making lots of noise for weeks, I'm actually going to miss these guys. I will definitely hire them in future. We contracted Prime Design & Build to remodel two bathrooms, a laundry room, a staircase, and to…read moreinstall hardwood flooring. Overall, the project went well, and we're happy with the final results. Bryan, our foreman, was a strong asset to the project. Even though he was managing multiple jobs at the same time, his responsiveness and willingness to go out of his way to address our concerns made a big difference. Because we were home throughout the process, we were able to catch issues early and communicate them directly to Bryan, who consistently followed through to resolve them. What Went Well: * The tile and flooring subcontractors were excellent - their craftsmanship and attention to detail truly stood out. * Bryan, our foreman, was responsive to texts and phone calls, listened to our concerns, and made sure they were addressed. He even designed a bi-fold closet door for us, and helped pick up all the material to build it. * Bryan also took the initiative to handle several unfinished items himself, which we really appreciated. * The post-build cleaners were top-notch and left the space in pristine condition. * Throughout the project, everyone we interacted with was professional, courteous, and conscientious. There were no conflicts or issues, which made the experience comfortable for us. Areas for Improvement: * The timeline was a pain point. While we were originally told the project would take 6-8 weeks, it ended up stretching to 12 weeks. * The design process fell short of expectations. Because Prime's in-house designers weren't available, our design work was outsourced. We only received a full design package for the master bathroom. As a result, we ended up creating our own renderings for the other rooms to help communicate our vision to the team. That said, we were very happy with the design and material selections for the master bathroom they did complete. We just wish the same level of attention and design support had been provided for the rest of the project. * At times, resource availability was limited, likely due to workers being assigned to multiple jobs. This led to workflow inefficiencies and delays. Toward the end of our renovation, our foreman Bryan had to personally step in to complete several tasks, such as installing faucets, shelving, and baseboards. He managed to get it done in between site visits and meetings, which we appreciated, but it also highlighted a lack of available crew to close out the project. Despite these few challenges, the quality of the work met our expectations. We appreciated the team's effort and the final outcome.

Aaron had thoughtful ideas about new layouts for our small bathroom, and kindly returned to work through a second concept. He had a great balance of listening to our needs, plus honestly telling us when in his professional experience something wouldn't work in our small room. Their price was right in line with other quotes and we chose Y Group based on Aaron's collaborative approach with us. Paola managed the project and was amazing to work with. She was also very collaborative in approach, and met us multiple times in different showrooms to look at options for tiles, cabinets etc. She had great design ideas while also hearing us on our tastes and preferences. Once the project started she regularly checked in on progress, and dealt with the minor issues that always come up with large projects professionally. We went with a custom vanity and linen closet design from Luis and Gervin, cabinet makers they work with regularly -- it looks and feels wonderful and really maximized the usable space vs. commercial options. Walter the foreman did great work throughout, especially with the large 24x48" tiles. These are hard to work with, and every joint is perfect. Our small bathroom needed a lot of thoughtful touches to really come together, and they nailed it -- the design has really transformed the space. I highly recommend Y Group Remodeling!
