The workmanship of the…read morefinished deck exceeded our expectations, and every person we encountered was pleasant to work with. Our project was the installation of an 8' x 11' elevated attached deck. I had whittled my initial list of contractors down to six before choosing All Decks. Cost was competitive but was not the lowest bid. This was the third deck in this location. The previous two were wood. This time we chose to have a composite deck installed, to not have a stairway, and to have the area underneath the deck protected from rain. As this was an elevated deck, it was covered by municipal code requirements more stringent than when the previous two decks were built. We worked with Adam during our initial contact, and in designing the deck. We chose Dekorator planking, Trex handrails, and the Trex RainEscape system. We wanted to minimize supporting posts, as a competing bid would have used 6 posts, and we had seen decks on houses like ours that had 5 to 6 posts. All Decks was able to use only 2 posts by having larger-size (6"x6") posts and by attaching one side of the deck to our cantilevered 2nd floor. The All Decks showroom was extremely helpful in choosing materials and colors, and in evaluating the RainEscape system relative to alternative underdeck rain coverings. Kendall did thorough work when he visited to do the detailed yard survey required by code. The level of detail in the resulting documents was unexpected and illuminating. The three-man team led by Chris who put up the deck was professional and unobtrusive. A special challenge was attaching one side of the deck to our cantilevered 2nd floor as the current municipal code requires an exceptionally robust connection. Installing this connection required removing several plank-and-tongue grooves from under the overhang of the cantilevered 2nd floor, which is very difficult without causing damage. I was skeptical that it could be done and was pleasantly surprised to see the excellent appearance of the re-installed planking. (As expected, I repainted the reinstalled planks myself.) As for the steel-bar-reinforced concrete footings, Chris meticulously set their height so as to enable the potential future installation of a ground-level deck made from pavers. The gentleman who delivered and picked up materials and the portable toilet was discreet and careful. Crystle ensured smooth communications for scheduling, billing, etc. We are very satisfied with the All Decks team and their work.

They were affordable, knowledgeable, and very willing to work with my needs and my budget. They were able to obtain the permits that were needed which is an important and valuable service. They also took care of the structural engineering that was needed to make sure that we had sufficient support for the deck. Their showroom is very helpful. There are samples and some mockups of decks, railings, lighting, etc. There are lots of options and the staff was great about explaining the options but not pressure-upselling. I felt comfortable choosing the materials and extras with their help. After the project was finished, there was one support post that didn't look finished to me when I looked at it from our dining room window. All Decks was great about coming out. After seeing and understanding what I wanted to upgrade, they were able to install a matching trim piece that made the post look complete. The deck has been installed now since Oct 2024. It still looks great and I couldn't be happier.

We were on a deadline, as we were moving out of the country and needed the rooftop deck replaced before we left, so that we could rent out our townhome. We paid a deposit of 50%, and were assured that the materials (all of them) would be ordered and the job completed on time. The demolition of the old deck went smoothly on August 11th, but then there was a delay getting the materials, which did not arrive until August 28th, so over 2 weeks later. We were understanding, as delays happen, but during this time we had no access to our rooftop deck as the wood had been removed. We also had no access to our off-street parking area for the duration of the construction, as this is where the materials and tools were stored. Once the materials were available, they were delivered, but no work was started that day. Once the construction finally began, only one person was sent each day, so the work progressed very slowly. Additionally, not enough of the correct color of material was ordered, so we had to make a choice between a longer delay while more was ordered, or having two different colors of material on the deck. As we were under a time constraint, we chose to have two different colors, which looks strange but we felt like we had no real choice. As the deadline of when we absolutely had to have the project done approached, we made it clear that we were dissatisfied with how long the project was taking, so Martin had 3 people show up so that more could be accomplished in one day. This felt frustrating for two reasons: One - he could have had more people working on our project the entire time which would have made it go much faster, and two, because it was so close to our moving date and the work absolutely had to get done, it feels as though it was very rushed and does not look as professionally done as it should. Some pieces don't line up well, and overall, it just isn't what we thought we were paying so much for. From start to finish, what was originally quoted to us as a 4-6 day project actually took 4 full weeks, and after all of that, we were not satisfied with the result, but had no recourse because we are now out of the country. Martin was nice and communicative, but I cannot recommend his company to others. It was already an incredibly stressful time preparing to move abroad, and this construction project made it much more so.

On a small deck, I've already noticed at least 5 boards that will have have to be replaced as they are cracked, or poor quality. The baluster(Vertical 2x2's below the railing are cut to completely different heights, and separated by odd widths. Top Rail has already split, and installed incorrectly leaving gaps beneath it on the supporting rail. The most concerning is some of the supports were installed off center, and not level, or splitting entirely. I worry about safety.

Throughout the entire fence replacement process, he made me feel like a VIP by responding almost instantly to every question and doing everything he could to accommodate my requests. When I first reached out to him for an estimate, he replied right away, came out the same day to take measurements and provided a quote that afternoon. Later when I needed an additional section assessed, he again came the same day and sent an updated quote that evening. His responsiveness and professionalism stood out from the very beginning. During the fence replacement process, he and his team continued to impress. The workmanship was excellent and Mirbek kept me updated throughout the process. Everything felt smooth and completely stress-free. Even after the job was completed and paid for, Mirbek promptly sent his helper the next day at my request to handle a small additional section and I was grateful for how quickly he took care of it. Mirbek has also proven to be trustworthy. When I asked for his advice about replacing the deck boards, he gave me an honest assessment that sanding and staining them was all that was needed Overall, working with Mirbek was a truly pleasant experience with everything feeling easy, smooth, and worry‑free. Andy came…read moreby and actually walked me through the whole process -- not just what he'd do, but why he'd do it a certain way. He explained where it made sense to invest a little more and where we could cut back without sacrificing quality. No pushy sales pitch, no checkbox quoting -- just someone who clearly knows his craft and cares about doing the job right. I had done some research ahead of time and knew my existing deck had a structural quirk that would matter during the rebuild -- Andy was the only one of the three contractors who caught it. That made the decision easy. His quote wasn't the cheapest or the most expensive, but it was fair and came backed with great reviews and a clean WA contractor's license (which, shockingly, not all of them had). That sealed the deal for us. We ended up completely rebuilding two decks using TimberTech PVC -- a smaller 10'x10' one, and a 26'x12' deck that's 20 feet in the air with two staircases and a landing. The whole project took about 3.5 weeks from demo to final touches. Andy's CAD drawings were spot-on. When surprises came up (like discovering the house's floor joists ran in the opposite direction), Andy just handled it -- added a beam, footings, and posts without delay or extra cost. Same deal with a couple small punch list items at the end (a dinged downspout, some siding, trim details). No fuss, no runaround -- his crew just showed up and made it right. The build crew was great to work with -- friendly, respectful, and meticulous. They kept the site clean and were clearly proud of their work. You could see it in the precision of the cuts and the fact that everything was perfectly straight, square, and level. Even the more delicate custom cuts -- like a half rip-cut board to fit under the house -- were nailed with crazy accuracy making it look like the boards extend under the house. Bottom line -- I'd 100% recommend Andy and his team at Heilman to anyone in the Seattle/Eastside area. If I ever need more deck or fence work (though this deck will probably outlive me), I won't even bother getting other quotes. These guys are the real deal.

After multiple contractors gave me inconsistent or overpriced quotes, connecting with Stephen was a breath of fresh air. His quick response and professionalism immediately put me at ease. Even better, he had a coordinated crew ready to handle everything--from the roof repair to the interior ceiling work. Within the same week, two teams were on-site, and the entire job was completed in just two days. His crew also made sure everything was clean after the job was done. My tenant was extremely happy with how efficient and seamless the process was. I also had a last‑minute request to check the smoke alarms, and despite managing the property from the East Coast, Stephen made sure it was taken care of right away. Seattle Roofing Company truly delivered. I highly recommend them and will continue using their services. Thank you to Stephen and his team!

The owner of Seattle Roofing came out and confirmed that it had come from my roof. He flew a drone to inspect the roof but said he couldn't find where it came from. Then on June 18, 2026, I noticed something else that didn't look right on the roof. I contacted the company, and a technician came out and fixed one issue, but he left without any explanation or even letting me know he was finished. Using my phone's zoom feature, I could still see an area of the roof that didn't look right. I asked the company to have the technician come back. Unfortunately, I received rude responses from Steven. He always spoke as if the problem was somehow my fault. I had to follow up several times and remind him that the rainy season was approaching, but nothing happened. This was only the second time Seattle Roofing had to send someone out to my house since installing the roof. If the job had been done correctly the first time, we wouldn't even be having this discussion. Eventually, I received a response saying that the technician had determined the area was fine. I sent Steven an updated photo and asked whether the exposed section of the roof looked acceptable to him. I never received a response. You can decide for yourself by looking at the photos and determining whether you would want to hire a company that treats customers this way after they've already been paid. I spent a lot of money on this roof for the peace of mind that it would protect my home. Instead, I'm left worrying about potential issues, trying to find someone else to correct what appears to be their mistake, and still have not received any explanation as to why the exposed section of the roof is considered acceptable. Customer service and communication after the sale have been extremely disappointing.
