Metro Flooring came out only twice--once for the original installation in 2021, and once in 2025 for warranty repair due to plank separation. Second, your response actually confirms an important issue. As you stated, this flooring can be installed either as a floating floor OR as a glue-down system--but not both at the same time. However, during the 2025 repair, your installer glued down planks in an area of what is otherwise a floating floor system. This directly contradicts proper installation standards and prevents the floor from expanding and contracting as designed. After Metro Flooring refused to return and inspect the issue, I had a contractor come out to evaluate the floor. During that visit, the contractor identified that planks in the repaired area had been glued down. I then retained a certified floor inspector, who confirmed in a formal report that mixing installation methods (glue-down within a floating system) is improper and can cause the exact failure that occurred. Additionally, Metro Flooring declined to return to inspect the issue, which required me to incur additional expense to obtain both a contractor evaluation and an independent inspection. This situation is not the result of improper maintenance or misuse, but rather the result of an improper repair that altered how the flooring system functions. I am simply seeking a fair resolution for a floor that failed following warranty work.

Our 1950s split-level home in Lutherville had old dingy and dirty wall-to-wall carpet since we moved in. Once the carpet was removed, the original oak floors were revealed, which had been badly stained and darkened over the years....including several large stains from the previous owners' pets. The Mr. Sandless team spent a few days prepping and refinishing the floors, and the results are 1000x better than the old carpet! The pet stains disappeared and the dull dark stained oak is now a beautiful natural honey color. Sam is excellent at communicating, his crew was always on time and respectful, and the very difficult job was finished in just a few days. Still very happy with the floors, thanks again Sam!

We only had one issue with the store; its layout. We had a hard time locating items when the screen said to go to certain aisles and locations. We had a hard time finding out where those areas were to find the products. The store didn't exactly have a well written out description of where aisles and locations were at. To find most of the items we were looking for we had to actually ask staff members for almost all of my items. It might be a better idea for future stores to show a better written plan of where the aisles are located at as in if somebody asks for aisle 7, the screen will tell them something like second floor. Just passed the light section and possibly show a floor plan/map to where aisle 7 is, and a spot where you are and possibly a line for a direction of how to get there. It might be the most useful idea because me and my mother looking for specific things even though we had the numbers for the items we wanted couldn't find probably 90% of our products in the store because of it's funky set up. Sorry about me dissing your store set up, but I had no idea where I was or where to go in your store at least half the time I was inside it.

They had a decent selection of contemporary styles with a range of piles with competitive prices. Vlad gave candid feedback when the quality might not be a good fit with heavy use. We ended up with a traditional style in unusual colors, and were able to purchase an excellent felt pad custom-cut to fit the area rug. Oh, and bonus-they are amazing at getting rolled rug and rolled pad into my car (not an SUV). We are very happy with this business. It's not much to look at from the curb, but it's worth it!
