We bought two rugs from Mr. Parvizian last May. We were away for the summer, and when we came home…read morein the fall, we set them up for the first time. They looked beautiful and were perfect in our living and dining rooms. But it didn't take long for our puppy to spit up (twice!) on the beautiful new living room rug. I tried to deal with the stains myself, thinking since they were just clear "water," not actual vomit, it would be easy to blot them out. Silly me. (I later learned that puppy spit-up has acid bile in it, which eats away at wool if not promptly and properly treated.) The stains were still there the next day, so I turned to the internet and, alas, followed the instructions from several of my go-to reliable sourced sites for such issues--I mean places like Consumer Reports and Good Housekeeping, not just random DIY posters. Anyway, after applying a paste of baking soda and Dawn (benign, right? wrong, wrong, wrong!), things went from bad to worse. The stains were now huge and they were BROWN. In short, my beautiful blue and white rug was pretty well ruined. In despair, I did what I should have done in the first place--I called Mr. Parvizian. I explained what had happened, and he came out to the house after work a couple of nights later to have a look at the rug. Even though this was clearly user error (he kept scratching his head at "baking soda") he and his helper simply loaded the rug up and took it away, telling me he would see what he could do. A few days later, he called to say the rug was ready, cautioning us that it was "better," but not perfect. My husband and I drove to the shop to see what, if any, improvement had been made. The rug was laid out on the shop floor, waiting for our inspection when we arrived. It looked amazing! The spots had not only disappeared, but the entire carpet had been cleaned, and the stains were undetectable! So this sad story with the happy ending has a few takeways: -Do not, under any circumstances, try to clean your own rug if you don't know what you're doing, no matter what the internet tells you!! Baking soda is not an appropriate solvent for cleaning wool rugs! Puppy spit-up is very damaging to wool! -Go to Parvizian Rugs, not only for purchasing a beautiful, well-priced rug, but for the amazing and caring service. It was truly above and beyond, because this whole sorry episode was my fault--and really, Mr. P. was not obligated to do anything for me in the situation. He took it upon himself to take responsibility and to remedy this because he wanted a happy customer. That's pretty exceptional in this day and age. Thank you, Mr. P!

This is about carpet cleaning. I should have trusted my instincts and left when I saw a rug being…read morecleaned on the sidewalk. I also smelled bleach which Mr. Parvizian denies using for fringe cleaning. The next clue was the condescending way Mr. Parvizian treated me when I brought my machine-made rug into the establishment to be cleaned. He told me my rug was not worth the price of cleaning. About a month after cleaning the fringe started to disintegrate. The response from Mr. Parvizian was that machine-made rugs have synthetic fringe and they are not responsible. The fringe is cotton, we had it replaced 12 years ago after a vacuum cleaner mishap. Then he stated that the rug was stained, which it was not, we do not have animals and our children have been out of the house for over 20 years. The last communication was that I signed the contract that in a roundabout way says they are not responsible for any damage to rugs being cleaned.

Floor needed to be ripped up, fridge pulled, heaters on floor boards to get mold out etc. Project was to install new copper pipe installed (this was 2nd time rodents and whatever had punctured fragile nylon tube), install ice maker emergency shutoff, new hardwood floor. THREE months later still waiting final touchups on baseboard molding as new hardwood floor not as thick as old floor creating a gap. Contractor keeps saying he is coming, "check your email", etc. Death in family, car troubles excuse after excuse. Could not get repaired in time for thanksgiving. FOUR months later monday nite woke to water all over kitchen floor. Plumber pulled out fridge and saw that nylon pipe had AGAIN sprung a leak, "new line Ultimate had installed was actually a tape job (see pic #2) of old line. Cutoff was a medal makeshift clamp on a nylon pipe which apparently is a no-no. Not only was the price very reasonable, the products and guidance were terrific. Nader was the only person amongst many to suggest I move the placement of my bathroom sink (since I was eliminating the desk area). And although I have yet to meet Cameron in person, he was a pleasure to correspond and speak with -- and also helped guide me with choices. I would recommend Ultimate to all of my friends, and plan on using them for many future projects.
