They did not respond at all that day, and I called the next day to try to schedule delivery. It turns out, they don't have that soil in stock. Instead of helping me by changing the order, the man who answered the phone was rude, told me to cancel it on my credit card and that they hadn't processed the charge. This means they saw it come through, knew they didn't have the soil, and didn't bother to call or email me. The whole time he acted like I was inconveniencing HIM, when in actuality I was trying to give them hundreds of dollars, like I used to do every year. Then he had the nerve to hang up on me, as if I'd done something wrong by ordering soil and following up the next day. I was friendly the whole time. He was acting like a petulant child. I can't dispute the transaction on my credit card since it hasn't processed, so it's just sitting in financial limbo and I have to trust that they won't process it later and try to sneak it by me. I'll need to spend the next few weeks following up on this now. I'll also be finding a new compost supplier. I'm planning on replacing my entire front lawn with garden beds this summer and will need plenty of soil and mulch. Oh well.

We brought cooked/frozen Samoan food for our PA family (IYKYK), and I was worried because our NY hotel did not have a restaurant/freezer space for us to use. Checked Yelp and Armato Ice & Firewood Co. popped up. I messages the number at 8pm, and Tony responded within 15min. I explained the situation, and he apologized because he said my order was too small for a delivery (I only needed 5lbs), so I would have to pick up dry ice from their shop on E 88th Street. Cool, no problem. Next morning, 8:30 am, i went to business address to pick up 5lbs, and called Tony but he was stuck in rush hour traffic for another hour. He graciously offered to drop off dry ice to my hotel before noon, during their normal deliveries. Even though it was a small order, he understood my situation and cared enough to help me keep my food frozen for the next few days, so my PA family can enjoy authentic Samoan food. Places like Rite Aid in my building started stocking up on ice. This company is on notice 24 hours and will deliver it to your home or business. This morning the very friendly employees were loading the freezer in my neighborhood. These are well stocked for the delivery men to pick up the ice for delivery when you need ice. Called Arbor…read moreAce for a non-emergency possible tree removal for a pin oak tree that was over 3 stories high, in between power lines, 2 sheds, a shared fence, and was starting to lift the ground around it. They gave an estimate on when, how long the job would be, and what to expect. They were able to also address all of my questions i had. At the end, we decided it was best to remove the tree. The job was finished in 3 half days (its December, so days are short now), stored and cleaned up the all the branch debris. I was expecting to come home with tree twigs everywhere the day they took down the branches and chipped the wood. I thought i would have to do some light sweeping but was surprised to not find branch/tree debris in my backyard, front yard, drive way or street. They were swift, thorough, efficient! They were able to cut the tree and grind the stump with no damage to our shared fence, sheds, or bushes around the tree. They were very friendly and courteous. They called ahead, reviewed logistics with our schedule, street cleaning, and where to park their vehicles. They also contacted our neighbors ahead of time with permission to use their backyard and block the drive way. I would absolutely recommend them as they went above and beyond expectations.

The only thing stopping me from giving 5 stars is that I would have liked to have been given more than a day notice of when the work was scheduled to happen and it would have been nice to have been given written care instructions for the plantings.
