Hired Jez as our same-day coordinator for our wedding this past May. Although our wedding was rescheduled twice, we kept in touch and he was flexible with our wedding plan changes. Just as others may have mentioned in their reviews, it is difficult to get a response from him via email, however we have no issues receiving a text back so that's how we mostly communicated. As for the day of our wedding, he did a fabulous job! He was there from the time we were getting ready and left at the end of the night after us. During cocktail hour, he took my husband and I to view the reception area decor and layout. We gave him our ideas and he turned it into reality; It was exactly how we imagined it. When I attended the Hawaii Bridal Expo this past January, I was on a mission to look for vendors and wedding inspiration. I am originally from Hawaii, but am now living on the mainland. Planning a wedding out of state was overwhelming, so really, my main goal was to find a wedding planner/coordinator. I met a handful of wedding planners at the event, but when I talked with Jez, I had a connection with him and immediately knew that I wanted to hire him for our wedding. I told him I wanted a "rustic" themed wedding. When I met with him for a consult, I remember him telling me with confidence, "Don't worry, I will give you a rustic wedding." Months leading up to the wedding, Jez and his team connected me with vendors I could contact, and helped me to negotiate with pricing. Our main way of contact was via email and it was no problem at all. They always gave a quick response. Fortunately, I was able to fly home a couple of times before the wedding. Jez was always able to find a time to meet with me in person to discuss wedding plans. Jez coordinated our wedding rehearsal, making our ceremony run smoothly. He created a timeline for us, which was so helpful for our wedding entourage and vendors. On the day of our wedding, he and his team handled everything; making sure all the ceremony and reception decorations were beautiful, being the main contact with all our vendors, and helping our wedding entourage and us. He took all my inspiration photos and ideas for how I wanted our wedding to look like and brought it to life on our wedding day. The ceremony site was absolutely beautiful. My husband and I were in awe when we walked into the reception ballroom. The details literally took my breath away and we loved how everything came together. The infamous Yelp line - if I could give him no stars I would. Jez was hired by my best friend for her wedding to be a co-wedding planner & the day of coordinator. My best friend basically planned her whole wedding with her other wedding planner, her aunty. Jez did very little communicating with her or any of the other vendors. The night before, she was still being contacted by her vendors about her reception, about when make up and hair should arrive, etc. I had to take her phone away on the day of so that she could enjoy her day. We did not even know where he was in the morning or when he would be coming by. He did not communicate with us what so ever, we had to ask him for information like when do the photographers/videographers come, when to go downstairs from our hotel room, when to come out of the car to go into the church, etc. When we got to the reception, he was no where to be be found. He did not communicate with the bride or groom. He miraculously shows up at the END of the night to pass out masks & take pictures with the bride & groom. Ask any of the vendors, or anyone on the entourage what his tasks were for the wedding or what he was hired to do & they will not be able to answer you. P.S. the first wedding of 2021 was designed & decorated by @officialcurate and they were not credited or mentioned properly. My husband and I tied the knot on 3/25/17. We are so happy that we hired Jez and his team as our wedding planner/coordinator. Our initial consult with Jez went smoothly, he reassured us that wedding planning with him will be stress free. (Let me tell you, IT WAS STRESS FREE.) I told Jez, I envisioned our wedding to be intimate, simple, and elegant, and he knew exactly what I wanted. I booked all the vendors that I wanted with the help of Jez. Communication with vendors can be overwhelming. So having Jez being one call/text away was extremely helpful. It was also helpful that Jez has a great relationship with all the vendors that I booked. So my son and his fiancé hired Jez. From my understanding he was willing to work with them as they had a budget. He was charging them a lot less than his regular fee (still a lot) as he would do less than his full service. This I appreciate. The only problem was he did NO work for all the money he did get. Let's just say he linked them with one of his vendors. That's about it. He also cancelled appointments at the last minute. He did not respond to emails for weeks at a time if at all. Eventually, they decided to discontinue services (as if they got any). He was emailed, texted and called numerous times and guess what no response or acknowledgement. Not even an okay acknowledging. This does not seem like good business to me. Oh, well he got paid good money to do one referral. Take the money and run. read more

This guy was all over the place. A lot promised, very little delivered. I won't get into specific details of the wedding party we were with, but just know, we went through all the gears with Jez. He was unreliable and usually seemed a bit out of the loop, (I know, this seems VERY strange considering this was the main wedding planner.) he hired a emcee (wild wild Wes?) who was all over the map. We did like his energy, but when he asked the ENTIRE wedding party before dinner to wish his wife happy birthday whilst he recorded on TikTok or Instagram, I couldn't help but to lose my appetite. You love your wife, that's beautiful, but I'm not paying thousands of dollars to have a guy do an online shoutout. Just unprofessional. There were many more antics from this guy but I'll spare you the details, but things like this were a common theme. BUYER BEWARE Jez? A photographer at my wedding even said that a family member of his got screwed by Jez.... he didn't even show up to the wedding. if that doesn't say enough then I don't know what to tell you. I'm telling you right now he did not show interest in my wedding, he didn't follow up on our emails, and then we get ghosted for confronting him about it. Literally never heard from him again. Pretty foul. I'm not even mad about the money. I'm mad about how people can honestly sit back and live their life and not even care one bit about the people they're screwing. Looking at these positive reviews about him I guess he picks and chooses where he's gonna put his effort which is extremely sad and unprofessional. Take my advice, for all you lovely couples planning one of the biggest and most important day of your new chapter, please please please hire a planner/coordinator! With that said, it was a pleasure to have worked with Jez and his team. This review is long over due, since my hubby and I tied the knot 12/18/16. We were fortunate to have found Jez via friends and family. From our first consultation with him, my husband and I knew hiring him would take a lot of stress off our shoulders. I found my vendors on my own, and thankfully all loved working with Jez! To me, it's very important because if your vendors can't communicate well with each other, chances are, they'll start asking YOU to do their job. It was such a relief that he's already worked with majority of my vendors. On the day of our wedding, may I just say that Jez and his team refused to tell me anything that was going on. Trust me, that was a good thing! That's EVERY brides dream! I was so bored when I woke, I didn't know what to do. Thankfully, I spent the entire morning laughing and enjoying the company of my newborn son and my wonderful bridesmaids! I was truly stress free. There was a big problem setting up our outdoor ceremony. To say it was breezy is an understatement. Our trellis fell down while they were setting it up! Of course Jez didn't let me find out because I would have been a total mess. Instead he just calmly asked if I wanted to move it indoors. Come the ceremony, many our guests raved and appreciated how organized everything was. They loved that it flowed so smoothly and no one was running around cluelessly. The entire day, he was so calm and collected, you could tell he's been doing this for a long time. I was so thankful to have been able to spend the day with family and friends and actually enjoy everything that was going on. Brides, if you're going to spend $$$$ on a wedding, do yourselves a favor and hire a coordinator so that you can enjoy every single cent spent. Initially when we met with Jez, he was all gung ho and seemed sincere about helping my son and his fiance. He met with us a total of 2 times. We picked the partial coordination package and services were paid for in FULL. He never contacted us to follow up. He linked us up with ONE vendor. We emailed him, no response. One week later, emailed him again, no response. Finally texted him and he said he must've missed the email. Missed it twice???? Ummmm ok. When we finally scheduled an appointment, he cancelled 1hour before scheduled time. When wanting to reschedule that appointment, he made it challenging to do so and we would've met him at an event he would've been working. Which means we wouldn't get his full attention. Another thing, when my DIL shared her ideas for how she wanted the wedding, the vibe we got was like it was beneath him. If you run a business, you should be able to work with the glamorous and casual styles. I know many who are pleased with his work and that's great. It's sucks that we had to experience this side of his business. He got $1500. We decided to not work with him anymore because who needs that kind of vibe. We emailed and texted him to let him know we no longer wanted to work with him. Again, no response. Proper business etiquette would be to at least respond and acknowledge. But I guess when you already got paid $1500 for doing nothing why bother. read more

Jez is a professional! He alleviated my stress not only the day of our wedding but also the months and days leading up to it. He was accommodating when I wanted to meet with him and has always gotten back to me whenever I had questions. The morning of our wedding day was every bride's nightmare; thunder, lightning, heavy rain, and flooding. We had an outdoor wedding at Lanikuhonua with no tent for our guests and the grounds of our venue were shot with mud puddles everywhere! It was horrifying. The floor plan and everything else had to be adjusted to accommodate the aftermath of the bad weather and guess who had to carry the weight of all of this to make sure that my husband and I were stress free on the day of? JEZ! & his event team - Roxanne, Cristine, and Laurie. It was a crazy wedding morning/afternoon and Jez and his team handled everything with professionalism and most importantly with a SMILE and POSITIVITY. When my husband Branden and I arrived at the grounds of the venue before the ceremony, we saw how hard Jez and his team were working with each other and our vendors to execute all of the small and big details. I'm not surprised if Jez had to resolve some issues of things that we were unaware of on the day of. Jez and his team worked a lot behind the scenes, making sure the timeline was followed, that branden & I took our sunset pictures, took pics with each table, and that we had time to eat. Roxanne also often asked us if we needed anything like water, food, or any of her assistance. One of the most overwhelming events to plan in my life had come together with the kokua from JEZ EVENTS!! These are the times to accept the help that is offered instead of trying to DIY EVERYTHING! Because of the massive amount of ideas and different views, we definitely needed someone to lay down structure! Jez was just the person to do that along with everything else at hand, he kept us in the right direction and lead us to awesome vendors that brought our WEDDING DAY to a vision that came to life!
