(Previously If I sold a computer, they would simply plug it up to one of their several monitors and be happy to take it. Not this last time.) Once again being in need of a loan, I remembered that they said they would take it if it was complete with mouse keyboard and monitor. I had all that and the lady shut me down because the PC didn't have a See-through tower with Blinking LED's. I was frustrated by that because it's a fact that it's absolute nonsense. This PC is loaded with specs that would make the average blinky light gaming computer look like a Tamagotchi. So I quickly recovered and tried moving forward, thinking positive. I still had enough top shelf power tools to get what I needed. After 30 minutes of listening to the womans fake nails click-clack on the company computer, it froze. She switched to another computer. I joked that she would benefit off of my amazing Core i9, 64gb RAM, Nvidia RTX4090 ($2000 videocard alone). She Pretended to laugh before another 20 minutes of the nails cracking against the keyboard. And the finally Before delivering the offer, I was asked how much I was looking for. I casually said "I just want 400, if you can do more, it's okay, I don't need it". She replies "I can do $170". Me - " " (speechless) I gathered my stuff and hit another pawnshop 2 miles away and was offered $600. I took $400 as I planned and had a decent ending to a surreal episode that would have drove anyone in my shoes crazy. As I drove to the second pawnshop, I thought that maybe all pawnshops are now empty shells of what they used to be, but it turned out to be isolated to this ill-advised grEZPAWN. I now believe that the name EZPawn is less about pawning and more a way they view their customers. Those who roll over and accept their shenanigans are mere EZ Pawns. ... Not me. Never again.

I didn't assume that keeping time was part of the service, I specifically asked for it to be able to keep time as part of the work order. No one called me, no one communicated that this would not be done. Instead they just played with my watch while real professionals could have been repairing it. Very upsetting.

Their "substitute effort" required multiple trips and phone calls on my part, taking time I didn't have. He just shrugged his shoulders. A lady came out and I had brought in a guitar to sell to something he then showed me a $300 version of the guitar them. She was awesome. She recognized the guitar but was on her way out to lunch. She asked the skinnier kid to help me. This kid had no interest whatsoever in doing anything. He Google imaged the guitar and I told him that's just gonna bring up the regular version of this guitar. He told me well I'll find it. I said "no this is a signature model of the guitar you're looking at just write what's on the guitar". It literally says what it is on the Guitar. I pulled open my phone and showed him these guitars selling for $1800-$2400 on reverb.com. I asked him if they use reverb and he said "no we're not a music shop we're a pawn shop." I responded," perhaps it'd be a place to look considering it's filled with guitarist and half your shop is filled with guitars". He marked at me and went back to looking. He then showed me a $300 version of the Guitar in front of him and I told him for a third time that's the base model of this guitar. This guitar says what it is written right there and does not look like that it's just the same general shape. He told me "whatever I'll give you 100 bucks for it." I told him "no thanks" as I was laughing and I'll just sell it online for two grand. The only reason I wasn't going to sell it online for two grand was because I didn't want the hassle of having to ship it. Well guess what!? I just sold that guitar for $2000 +150 bucks for shipping. It was listed two hours and I'll just take it down and have UPS pack it up and ship it for me. I had told him I would take 1000 to 1200 bucks for it. That little dip shit missed out on making a grand for his company because he didn't want to type into a phone. That's ok. His loss. Oh and before the lady left? She told him to call the manager of the store because he would want to see it.

But the new staff that has taken over is an absolute letdown. They barely pay attention to anyone that comes in the store, they leave everything out so it's easy to trip over something and hurt yourself, and they refuse to budge on ultra-high prices on games that sell for cheaper at GameStop. Until they get some of the old staff back -- which I assume they won't -- then I won't be back.
