Tony and Greg were fantastic throughout. They patiently explored multiple solutions, problem-solved with care, and delivered a clean, professional install. On top of that, they went above and beyond by setting up our soundbar and subwoofer, even though it wasn't part of the originally agreed job. When our Frame TV's backlight died (do not recommend), we were so happy with his work the first time around, we didn't bother calling anyone else. Rob and Alex are very friendly. They are extremely knowledgeable and do excellent work. It is always a good price as well. We also did a fireplace build-out so one of the speakers had to be removed for that. I bid this out and Brian (owner) was the only one that really took the time to come and look at the site and understand our concerns. He literally spend several hours explaining the systems, taking measurements, and just getting to know each other at our house before making an initial quote. I feel that buying a high end product, that it should come with a high touch service and Brian delivered on that. Brian was super knowledgeable and super patient in educating me and answering many many emails, volunteering good recommendations and breaking my incorrect DIY opinions of what home automation should be. I am a strong DIY guy and I threw a lot of technical questions at Brian. He spent a lot of time steering me in the right direction, and this is all before I gave him the business. We iterated on things for quite a few weeks. The other guys I talked to pretty much followed what I thought I wanted and really did not give much feedback even though it may not be the best thing for me to do. (i.e. I already have a consumer grade Lutron Caseta system in place , but the right solution for my wants is to go with a higher end Lutron system). The depth of technical knowledge about the product was just not there with these other guys. I got one other guy to quote the configuration Brian came up with, as I did not like their configurations. In the end I went with Audio Video Evolution. Some reasons 1) I got to know Brian in the process and I feel he is an open and honest guy. Just based on this I wanted to give him the business. 2) He is technically very knowledgeable and listens. 3) He was willing to price match which surprised me given the superior service he gave me presales. Brian's crew was awesome with the install. Very professional. You can tell this is a high functioning crew. They took their time to get things right, yet got the job done in a timely manner. The install looks gorgeous. BTW - Audio Video Evolution is on the recommended dealers list on Lutron's website. The most difficult part about the whole experience was waiting 10 weeks for the factory to make the Palladium shades and writing the check to pay for them. But in the end I am very happy working with Brian and would highly recommend them if you have any high end AV and shade work needed to get done.

We just had an amazing experience with James Stout for the implementation of a sound system and…read moreimproved Wifi for our home AND to get it all concealed in a custom-built cabinet. We didn't know where to start for getting quality sound into all rooms of our home without dealing with hard wiring until we met James. He took the time to listen to our situation and made an initial trip out to our home with his super talented technician, Oscar, to develop a plan using Sonos speakers, sound bar (arc) and a sub-woofer along with Eero wifi. It was very well thought-out and superbly implemented. James made sure we understood how to work our new Sonos system and he went out of his way to visit our home several times to make sure we were thoroughly trained and had ample practice using all of the features. He also sent informative emails and encouraged us to call him with any questions. Really great follow up. As part of the project, we had a custom built-in TV cabinet that needed to conceal the Sonos sub woofer and Comcast TV box--without any visible cables. It's a bonus that James' showroom is located inside the Valet Custom Cabinets & Closets showroom. Therefore, he was an integral part of the design, functionality and installation of the cabinet. Oscar then mounted our new flat-screen TV and Sonos sound bar on the wall to be perfectly situated with the new custom cabinet and concealed the cables. Both James and Oscar also came to the installation of the cabinet to make sure everything went to plan. That was really comforting for us! I can't say enough good things about James. He's very knowledgeable, professional and he went out of his way to make sure we were 100% satisfied with the final outcome. He even stays in touch with us and we know he's there if we have any questions or need assistance in the future.

To do that, they installed a projector, built-in retractable screen, all new AV equipment, and in-ceiling speakers. Glenn ran the show, and was great throughout the whole process. He kept in constant contact, providing updates and suggestions that struck a good balance between performance and cost. With his decades of experience, he knew where I should save money and where I should spend it. Even when the inevitable snafus occurred (which they always do), Glenn handled them with professionalism. Alex and his crew built a custom enclosure for the retractable screen, and ran new wires for a whole bunch of things. It required cutting holes in the ceiling and building a custom ceiling box, but when it was done, it looked as if it had built into the house the whole time.
