Well this Walmart is close to where I live that's good. I have worked there for over a year. Some…read moreof the employees and managers that I have met are very kind people. However since it's a big store, not everyone is kind. I know people have different opinions about you as a person, but it's just like no one is really happy to be here and some of them are just quite rude and mean to be honest. I first started in the food and consumables department and it went well until they asked me to either go to front end or online shopping. I chose the front end because it was on a cash register and I thought it would work out but lately, I'm not feeling good about working for this Walmart, I feel that there's a lot of things that can be improved here. And at times we're understaffed and it annoys because the A.I runs everything and I don't always get the help I need and that's where it frustrates me as an employee. No one really feels happy working here and the environment (well most of it is the opposite of family friendly) I guess it's because we're in the digital age, most are on their phones and have ear pieces on (but I don't have that except my work phone). It sucks putting with totally incompetent and inconsiderate people on a weekly basis and I'm getting tired of it. You can't always have expectations for how things are going to go and you have your good days and your bad days too. But hard times reveal who they are, right? Sometimes I do miss my old position because it felt like I was doing something, now I don't feel like I'm doing anything. I just don't like putting up with people you know what I mean? I just don't like it. Because even though I put up with difficult customers at times, it's not that they're all bad, most of them are very nice and I like that. But it's a mixed bag for you. I've read everyone's reviews about this place and I totally understand it. This place is not perfect. It has its highs and lows and I'm pretty sure one of the lows this year is that we had a lot of people quit but that's out of my control. Maybe this place wasn't the best for them and I can understand that. But it gets fun in the beginning and then it gets harder later, that's how I feel working at this place.

The usual Walmart, massive selection, variety, and expected brands with employees doing their best…read moredespite a corporate communism taking advantage of them. This is one of the national businesses that explain how to claim government benefits to employees. What a sad commentary, even the yellow sticker expiring produce and meat items are hardly any value demanding you use quickly without much savings. Kroger does a much better job with real discounts.

This Kroger is by far the best Kroger in the Bloomington-Normal area. It is much more updated,…read morefriendlier, and cleaner than the other 2 in town. The produce also seems much more fresh. The only nicer store in the area is Hyvee, but their prices are much higher. This Kroger also consistently has their registers full of cashiers so they can service their customers unlike other stores in town--(cough, cough Walmart). My only complaint would be the lack of stock that they have for their "Buy 5, Save 5" deals. Every time I attempt to purchase an item included in this deal, they are completely out of stock.

Well organized, mostly friendly workers, easy to find most items in this large store where I have…read morebecome very familiar with the great Private Selection brand. But please, pay your employees decent please! It is weird to see good people working hard, dealing with rude customers, taking care of this business on the front end while the investors hide out, and all that for a couple pennies compared to the insane profits generated for board members. I want to see clearance goods better labeled too and presented to ensure food waste is minimized with produce. How can anyone think labeling a basic discount on food expiring the next day is some service to customers? It grosses me out shopping here with the price gouging; the discount isles should be spread across more places as we all know these massive stores throw away an incredible amount of totally edible food! The Kroger rewards program is sketch despite its advertising saying otherwise, gasoline discounts take a while to accumulate and rarely help save but to help keep up the fake corporate friend image.

The pharmacist (Kristy) at the Walgreens on Fort Jesse Rd., Normal, IL was outstanding in getting…read moremy last prescription filled in a speedy and customer service focused manner! She answered my initial call in a concerned and friendly manner. She then personally called me twice with updates on when she received my prescription and whether she was able to fill it prior to closing or send it to another Walgreens with extended hours. All members of this pharmacy are kind and my interaction with her blew me away! I cannot understand why this Walgreens has limited hours with such an amazing staff! I transferred in from a competitor.

After not receiving it that week, I called again and was told that the prescription was no longer being produced and that the pharmacy would contact the doctor. I inquired a third time and was told that they had contacted the doctor but had not heard back. They told me to contact the doctor. I did. The doctor had not been contacted, so the office contacted Walgreens and was told that the Rx was simply out of stock but they would try to get it elsewhere. I then called Walgreens and was told the same, that it was out of stock. I asked the technician to determine if it was out of stock or simply no longer being produced. After double checking, the technician determined that it was no longer being produced. I asked her to contact the doctor to determine next steps. I also called the doctor again. Over three weeks. Still waiting... ZERO STARS for Ft Jesse Walgreens. I changed insurance at the beginning of the year, and Walgreens had to request transfer of existing prescriptions from my prior pharmacy. It literally took them weeks to get it straight. I found out that they only requested some, not all, prescriptions to be transferred. At that point, they ended up sending all transferred prescriptions BACK to the original pharmacy then had to start all over again. I'm changing insurance policies to go to a different pharmacy and will pay a higher premium just so I no longer have to deal with Walgreen's ineptitude.

Dear Walgreens Pharmacy you need to work on your customer service! Why is that I have been using…read morethis same pharmacy and refilling the same prescriptions for 5 plus years and yall still can't get it right! Why is that everytime I come and pick up my prescription at 4 pm that I called it at 6am its never ready! Why is there always some ingredient out of stock! Why do I always hear this after waiting in the drivethough for 10-15 minutes! Why can you not just pick up the phone and call me and tell me my prescription won't be ready! Better yet why can't you be problem solvers and call me up and say we're sorry we are unable to full your prescription today but we called around and there are other Walgreens that can, where would you like us to send it! I've waited up to two and a half days for you all to fill prescriptions and not once did you try and troubleshoot the situation! I had to be the one to tell you to have another store fill the prescription! Its rediculous and yall need to do better! When someone calls in a prescription at 6am it is very reasonable to expect it to be ready at 4pm not two plus days latter! How about a little communication! Also how about faster service and cutting down on unnecessary questions like do u have a rewards account? Verify your address when u know good and well who I am! And how about stop with all the extra questions and taps on the card machine! All of this would greatly improve customer service! Sincerely, A very unhappy fed up long time customer!

I can't understand why it takes them so long, as I worked in a pharmacy that was just as busy and most times we were even able to fill the prescriptions in less than 15 minutes with even fewer employees, it almost seems as they are intentionally being rude and lazy to anger people enough that they take their business elsewhere. Now they are no longer open on Saturdays and Sundays. The Walgreens pharmacy on S. Main puts this one to shame as they seem to appreciate keeping themselves in business. I believe the pharmacist and techs at this location neglected to learn the skill of providing good customer service, because I have yet to encounter one that can demonstrate it.
