I'm a huge of Detroit-style pizza, and the Jet's in Skokie is one of my go-tos. I've ordered from here 20+ times and was never compelled to write a review until today. I typically use the website for complicated orders, but today's order was so complicated that I apparently broke the online ordering system. In a panic (the clock was ticking down to my guests' arrival), I called the store, Omar took my order, worked his magic, and saved the day! I placed a large pizza order at the store that was never delivered because of a power outage, that I can understand.. ..what I cannot understand is the following: the next day at the end of the day, I called to get a refund and ask why they would not have contacted me the next day at least, why should I have to call to request a refund? They answered that they did not have time to waste on calling customers to give them refund , they were serving actual customers! They were rude, unprofessional and hung up on me. I have never had something like this happen before and brought the pizza back and was give my money back. They also gave me a credit on my phone number but I don't know if I will go back. First of all. I'm a big fan of Jet's Pizza. But if your going to charge $6 for a bottle of ranch. Please give it to me in a bottle. Not a couple of ramikens. I ordered pizza and a bottle of ranch so I could take the bottle of Ranch to My out of State Family Thanksgiving. When i got there they said they were out of bottles and gave me a couple of ramikens. What a screw job. Love this place to. But I won't be back. I hate it when people screw me over. So.....Jet's instead having a two times a month customer. You're dead to me. Bye! PS. I missed Jet's so much and am really happy they're close enough to drive to. Their 8-corner pizza is so delicious. The cheese pull stays is long, stretchy, and delicious, unlike many of the other chains where the cheese just breaks off. Not Jet's! Stringy chewy delicious cheese. The crust on the 8-corner is buttery and just the right amount of crunch. Add to that the soft chewy pizza slices with their super tasty pizza sauce. Yes, I'm in love. Jet's is definitely one of my top 5 pizza places and they rank right up there along with Gio's and Lou's. Get some! read more

Great Detroit style pizza @ Jets. 2 slices for $6.74 including tax. Such a deal they have for you. If you've never had Jets give it a try. Jets is a very tasty Chewy Detroit style pizza. I know there are a lot of Chicago style pizza snobs but this pizza is actually very good and a change of pace. I know this isn't much to compare it to but it's far better than Pizza Hut or Dominos Pizza. I have been visiting this jets since they opened years ago. This is my first review of this chain pizza restaurant. This particular location and Skokie does not offer dine in ever it is simply a place to pick up and go. They also offer delivery which is very convenient. The online ordering and text ordering is very convenient as well and works out. The staff here as expected turns over and there are always new faces however they are cordial and civil. That is really all that I can ask for. I do love jets pizza when I have a taste for the extra bread and carbs but I especially love the butter garlic dip to go with their pizza. Ordered from their West Loop and South Loop locations in Chicago. Moved to north suburb and this is the closest one to me. Food and service is always high quality and very fast. Never had an issue with food not being made, nor it being not at the appointed time. My only complaint will be for the workers. On a hot summer day the whole inside dwelling is like an open pizza oven. How are the workers supposed to survive in such a hot environment while being pressured to make pizzas all day. I couldn't even stand the heat, it feels worse than a sauna. I feel bad for the workers, I hope there is a back room with A/C. My goto here is the hawaiian pizza detroit style. Got myself a slice of pepperoni pizza ($2 a slice, $2.25 w/tax). There wasn't one immediately available, and I waited 5 mins for it to be ready. It came out hot, fresh and crispy. Definitely hit the spot! I didn't find it that melty or cheesy, but maybe because it was just a slice and not a whole pie? Only had Jets once, and that time we got the bbq chicken pizza which was pretty good. So Friday night ordered delivery with my family for the first and last time. We got 2 4 corners pizza, and one regular pizza. The 4 corners pizza was pretty short on sauce and cheese. These pizzas are are like deep dish, cripsy, with a whole lot of dough. So when they skimp out on ingredients it becomes pretty bland. The regular hand tossed honestly was one of the worst pizzas I have ever eaten. Think of cafeteria pizza but worse. We ordered ahead of time as we were on our way back from the city and definitely did NOT want to cook at home. Ordering was easy and the pizza was ready when we got there. Only...there was a huge-a-mong-ous queue for pick up that afternoon. No worries we took the time to check in on yelp on look through the photos of yummy pizza and gladly discovered a yelp check in special free slice of pizza with check in! Thank you very much! We came here for carry out on their special deal day where all the large pizzas we're $4.99 for one topping. Needless to say there was a line out the door for pick up orders. They we're out of the pan pizzas so we got the hand tossed which was good and had less bread/crust. There was ample sausage and the cheese wasn't burnt. The receipt said the pizza would normally cost over $15, so for $5 it was a steal, though I don't know if I'd come back again for a full price pizza. OK, let's see here! What words can I spew up to create a review with my short term memory. I have actually contemplated on visiting Jet's Pizza for a while now because it sits near my work place. While headed to work one evening I debated on two restaurants out of the many on Dempster St strip, but did not want to be too basic. After all this is Yelp, and what makes Yelping fun is trying different businesses instead of sticking to the same routine boring restaurants, so with that being said I gave Jet's Pizza a visit. As for my order, I ordered the Jetzees - Grilled Chicken, which consisted of grilled chicken, provolone, lettuce & tomatoes; served w/ Italian dressing. Jetzees is basically deep dish pizza dough topped w/ butter and romano baked into a crunchy golden crust and layered w/ ingredients. And it has 9 selections to choose from including veggie! And yes! Grilled Chicken was amazing! I ate half prior to going to work and the other half after I got off of work. Nothing like encountering the stench of Jetzees - Grilled Chicken, after getting off work, however I was not disappointed with its taste. Since I'm a pizza enthusiast I'm quite positive that I will return besides, I did not get the chance to try one of their pizza slices, which was actually the main reason why I stopped in, but was sidetracked by the Jetzees feature and 9 selections on the brochure. I'm a fan of all pizza but never tried Detroit style until now. I'm completely hooked. It is a great pizza bread with crispy edges. Jet's is one of my favorite pizza places! Their crunchy, buttery crust is absolutely delicious especially when Flavorized with Jet's Turbocrust which consists of garlic and romano cheese (for free too!). I have always gotten the 8 corner pizza and have yet to be disappointed. This time I got half sausage and half pepperoni since my church's small group was having a pizza potluck. Amidst the ~10 different pizza places represented, I will have to say that Jet's was tied for first place in my book (I liked another place's toppings but Jet's crust better. I guess I could have upped my Jet's topping game). I was so great to compare different pizzas side by side to see how they sized up to each other. I placed the order online and our pizza was ready when we picked it up. Service was friendly and efficient. There isn't an eating area so we've always taken our pizza to go, which works better for us anyways. We placed an online order for Jet's pizza a few days in advance of the birthday party we were hosting. I called the store after placing the order just to make sure they received it and spoke directly to the store GM who was very helpful in talking me through the sizes and the number of people to make sure I had ordered enough. Based on our conversation, I added one more pizza to the order to be safe. He assured me I did not need to call back to confirm the order on the day of the party and that they would be there right on time. Two days later, they were true to their word. All 8 pizzas arrived exactly as ordered, piping hot, and right on time. Jet's is a great option for kid birthday parties - more delicious than most chains but still very reasonably priced so you don't have to break the bank for a standard birthday party. Appreciate the quick service and it was a nice relief not having to worry about whether or not the food was going to arrive in time for all the guests (aka hungry toddlers). read more

They shrunk their pizza AGAIN! First they shrink the boxes. Now the smaller boxes are one third emptier and the pizza is half as thick. What used to feed three now only feeds two. It was an unpleasant surprise to have for dinner. That's a 33% increase in price and customers left hungry. What company does that? While I think it's the best fast food pizza there is, the prices are now in the upper scale pizza range. For just a little more money I can get three times more pizza at Malnati's with much higher quality ingredients. Sorry Jet's. I've been getting pizza there several times a month since you opened years ago and watching it get smaller and smaller. Tonight was the last time for a long time. A little over $2 - 1 square of their deep dish pizza (sausage, pepperoni, or cheese) $5 - 2 squares of their deep dish pizza and a bottle of pop. They usually have some squares ready to go, or at least ready in a few minutes. Good pizza, reasonable prices, served up almost at fast-food times, and open late? Ladies and gentleman, this is why I'm fat, this is why I'm fat, this is why, this is why, this is why I'm fat. Just kidding. In all seriousness, they serve up some really good pizza here. Evenly distributed toppings. A chewy yet crunchy, deliciously gluteny crust. Perfect ratios of toppings/cheese to sauce to crust ratios in their deep dish pizza. When it's fresh, it's perfect. Not a traditional Chicago deep dish though, more like a pan pizza. read more

Jets pizza is very very interesting. It was quite surprising to me when I looked at their menu and saw like 10 different options for crusts. Personally I love me a spicy veggie pizza. I love giardiniera and saw a cajun crust option. So I thought this crust would have a cajun flavor and be spicy. Instead it turned out to be spicy and salty. Not just a little salty but enough to turn my mouth into a desert. However the crust does not make up all of the pizza experience at jets. They do have a deep dish option and it is pretty cheap. To get a medium or a large pizza is additionally not very expensive at all, given the size they indicated. What I did find a little bit funky about this is that the pizzas are rectangular. Not those "family sized" tiny slices but significantly bigger. I don't think that the average person would probably have more than 2 or 3 squares. So basically avoid the cajun crust and go with the deep dish for stuffed or whatever they call it and I think you will be able to get a decent pizza for the money. It was a little bit greasy but the cover they put under the pizza take care of any worries about grease. read more
