We had a water heater issue and were assigned this contractor through AHS insurance. The heater was leaking, so the hot water had to be shut off, leaving us without even cold showers or a working dishwasher. We were told they would send an estimate to the insurance company within 48 hours--unfortunately, that turned out to be completely false. For over a week, I was repeatedly told the estimate would be submitted "today". Then, to make matters worse, a week later they informed me they wouldn't proceed with the job unless the car lift in our garage was removed. This lift has a narrow metal pillar two feet away from the heater and has never been an issue for any other service provider. We've had the heater repaired and replaced in the past without a single complaint about the lift. After reading other reviews, I noticed a consistent pattern: they show up for the initial inspection, delay submitting estimates to insurance, and eventually file reports that end up being rejected. It feels like they aren't truly interested in working with insurance companies--they just want to collect the initial visit fee and be done. Due to this frustrating experience, I've requested AHS to reassign my claim to a different service company. read more

I saved $16,000 today by changing electricians to Jose Rios at Jets Electric! The first electrician came to diagnose lights out in my small sewing room. After working on one outlet and the main power box for 20 minutes he asked me to move all furniture away from the walls for him to finish the job. When he left my house I found lights were not working I half my house. His boss comes the next day to tell me it was an overload of the circuit and to run 4 new lines ($6,000) and a new power box ($10,000). American home shield refused to pay for overloaded circuit so I called in a second opinion! This took a month total. Enter Jose Rios at Jet's Electric. In 3 minutes he got lights to come on! He took apart the outlet and disconnected a cable Then went to the power box and voila!!! The hallway and 2 bathrooms and master bedroom lights immediately came back on!!! Took him 3 minutes tops!! He replaced the hardware on one outlet in sewing room and it worked! In less the 20 minutes he had all the lights in the house running. On 12/27/21, a technician responded to my home for a home warranty claim on my ceiling fan. It was determined the ceiling fan would need to be replaced. Technician stated it would take a week or two for ho warranty to approve. On 1/6/22 I followed up with my home warranty company and according to them Jet Electrical has not yet submitted the paperwork requesting replacement. Jet was quick to call and schedule the initial appointment and came out quickly, but dropped the ball after their initial visit. As a result, I cannot recommend this company. read more

Worst "professional" company I've seen and had to deal with in my lifetime. They were provided to us by our old republic home warranty to fix a pipe leak in our house. We have four cats in our house and the technician Dave was aware, and decided to leave the crawlspace open even though he wasn't working in there. he let all four cats into the crawlspace, and then refused to get them out and said "oh they will be fine." One of you left a gate open for someone's dog and they got out how upset would they be? It's the same principle in this case. Also He didn't even finish the work his company called him off after my wife called me and told me what had happened and I called the company and spoke to a person named Marin to tell them he needed to handle the situation properly. Neither the company, Marin, nor Dave took accountability or responsibility. The company, Marin, and Dave were overall a terrible service, company, quality, and reliability. I would never trust them in my home again. I recommend personally as a commercial contractor to have any other company in your home besides them. See this name and ask your warranty company for T&N plumbing they are always a 100% reliable, trustworthy, and hospitable. I had two bathroom exhaust fans not working. One completely stopped and the other one was in and out. I'm with American Home Shield. Submitted a service request online and they assign Jet's Electrical. Got a call from Kayla at Jet's Electrical and we scheduled it for about a week away. The day comes, and I don't know the workers name, but he was in and out. Very fast and did a great job for the fan that was out. He couldn't service the second fan because the work order said it was only one fan. When I put in the service request online with AHS, there was no section for me to select what my issue was or how many items needed servicing. (Realization moment)... The online form was meant to limit the scope of the work order, you need to call and explain your issue in depth so AHS puts it in the work order and thus cover each issue, but they won't tell you that for us newbies. That's an AHS problem, not an issue with Jet's Electrical. The repairman leaves and I call AHS back to have them add the second fan to the already existing work order. They refuse because I didn't call BEFORE the repairman arrived and I argue about how their website's service request form prevents me from adding detail at all for this specific item and point out the inconsistency when I had electricians come from other work orders and offer to fix multiple outlets and another replace a fan and said I can call back regarding any others that fail on the same work order, yet this time, for a $30 fan when I paid $100 for a service request it's denied? + I have the upgraded plan cause I have a pool and older systems... + I've barely called and I'm a renewal customer.... All my points went in vain until I was ending the call letting them know I'll be canceling soon, that's when they reversed course and said as a one-time courtesy they will put in a new work order to fix the second fan, no second payment needed. FINALLY! Whatever, I'm just glad it's done. I will be calling them and putting every request in via phone from now on and also re-evaluating me needing them at all. I particularly appreciate that they are patient and willing to talk a layperson through questions and concerns. My one significant constructive criticism is that Jet Electric could do better on communication. If you're running late for a scheduled appointment, text or call. For reasons I don't entirely understand, many contractors drop the ball on even minimally effective communication. This company is AWFUL! They were assigned by AHS. They scheduled an appointment to diagnose my ceiling fan for a Sunday. The Friday before the Sunday appointment, they left a VM saying they did not think AHS would cover because I have tall ceilings. Also, since the fan was spinning, although not at the proper speed, they said I should wait until it quits so AHS would cover it. I did not receive the message until after I got off work when they were closed. I texted back as instructed but never received a reply. They did not show up for their Sunday appointment. AHS offered to call them, but I do not do business with companies that lie regarding AHS's coverage nor with businesses that don't tell you they are not going to keep their appointment. Stay away! So my hone warranty company #americanhomeshield sent this company to diagnose and fix an electrical issue in my home, the guy looked at our breaker and gave me a story about how the panel is burned and has to be replaced and didn't even go into my home to check the lights that weren't working and told me they didn't even make those breakers anymore because they were illegal. My home warranty company said it wasn't covered because they claimed it was a capacity issue and it would be $5700 to replace the the panel and breakers. So today I had a company that isn't out to screw people over come and check the panel everything was fine with the panel although they recommended it be replaced because it's old it didn't need to be to fix the issue, in fact it took the tech less than 20 minutes to figure out the original problem and fix it, he didn't even charge for that part, but jets got paid for doing absolutely nothing and in my opinion trying to defraud me or at the very least have incompetent employees working for them. I ended up working with this company due to a home warranty repair on a water heater. For $75, they came out to look at my old water heater and that was the last I heard from them for a month and a half. I called to see what was up and they responded with a $650 bill for additional services. They wanted to bill me for components they knew I already had and were not in need of replacement, like earthquake straps. Much of the items had a 300% markup. I completely understand that there needs to be some markup, it's the cost of doing business, but when I asked why the markup was so high, he responded that my home warranty company doesn't pay enough to justify him coming out without having a generous markup on add-ons. How in the world is that my problem? If you don't make enough from home warranty work, don't be a referral for them! I cancelled the job (and the home warranty service) and will find a more reputable and honest company to do the work. read more

ASH referred me to this company to find out why several outlets downstairs were not working. After he arrived I was told that a wire was broken in the wall and that I needed a new panel, then after being ignored by them for two weeks and then calling ASH I then was told that I was denied because it was not covered. I then called Jets again and left messages after several no call backs I got an answer and they told me case was denied. I then asked if they could come and get the work done and I would pay . To date no reply. I had to get another electrician and pay that service fee of course and he said, that it was outlets out and a broken wire was inside one of the outlets. There was no need for another panel and the short wire was in the outlet and not the wall. so now they put me in a position to have ASH cancel the order and deny the claim over a lie told by one of their workers. I wish I could give them zero stars, Got estimate but now dealing with ASH since they were missed informed and that cost me a denial of claim. The technician came to our home and could not diagnose the problem re some of our electrical outlets not working. And after the technician left, I discovered that additional outlets were now out including those for our garage doors. Upon calling him the technician insists it was not his fault. Upon checking to see when they were coming back to fix our problems their dispatch did not know anything about a return appt to correct the problems. This organization should not be used. Is there less then 1 star? These people were sent by American home shield. They came out for my ceiling fans that weren't working. They showed at the end of November and said something was wrong with the motors in all 3 fans. They said that they were going to write of the request and send to AHS for approval and then get back to me when they had the approval. After 2 weeks of not hearing anything, I called them. I got voicemail and left a message asking for a return call. I didn't hear anything for a couple of days. So I called AHS. They called Jets and told me that jets said they had to order parts and they'd be in in about 5 days. That was about 6 weeks ago. After multiple calls to Jets and AHS, I finally got the email of a local escalation person. I emailed her and within 2 days I suddenly had an appt for them to come out. I placed service request with AHS and assigned Jet's Electrical to fix the electric problem(bathroom exhaust fan) at home on 10/26/2020. The technician came to my home on 10/28/2020 and took the existing fan with him saying that he will bring it back after fixing it with right parts. He never came back. I called the him 25 times last 100 days never my calls or responded to my voice mails. I called AHS multiple times they are saying that he never submitted any any report to them. I just wanted to give a very big THANK YOU to Ron and Jose at Jets Electrical and Plumbing. My mother's had blow 2 fuses in her older home and one was for the garage which I guess somehow had blown her heater and being as it was old the part had been discontinued she was going to have to get a new one. After getting two fuses replaced she was told ahead of time needed a new fuse box. My mom is 91 years old and at this point we had no heat in her house. When everything finally went into motion (about 2 weeks later) Ron and Jose came on the April 4 and the minute they got out of their truck it started pouring rain but knowing my mom had no heat they started the job and finished it the same day not stopping until they had to wait for PG&E to come and inspect what they had did and turn everything back on. I wasn't home by the time everything was turned back on and later on asked my mom where they had put the grounds in to bring everything up to code. I couldn't find one of the grounds and the next day when I had called the office they gave me Ron's number he said he'd come over. Within 15 minutes they were there to show me the grounds and explained exactly what the purpose was for installing them. They were very polite and patient with my mom who always has a lot of questions. I contacted Jets electrical as they were in the network for my home warranty protection. An Electrician came to my place and told me that I need a new electrical panel ( I already knew this needs to be replace) and also told me he can't not remove the old panel and should place the new panel beside the old one ( another skilled electrician told me that he replaces the old one with the new one ) . For this information they charged me for $75 as it was required by my home warranty. They left my house and they never contacted me or reply to my phone call. They also never sent the report to my home warranty!!! I was charged $75 for nothing and home warranty also never refunded me. Jets was paid for a job that was not completed. They came to my home and advised me the motor to my fan was bad. i needed a new fan. They left me responsible for going to purchase a fan that i could not afford at the time. i talked to the receptionist she told me " call us when you buy it and we will come and install" I did just that and was told that the claim with American home shield has been closed and a new one needed to be opened. Which will be another claim fee. Just ridiculous! How can you lie that a claim was complete when in fact it was not? Time to switch to another provider.
