JetBlue 906 ORD-JFK: A Broken Monitor, a Stone-Cold Seatmate, and a Theater of Useless Sympathy. NEVER AGAIN!! On May 5, 2025, I flew JetBlue flight 906 from Chicago O'Hare to JFK. I was in seat 10C, where the seatback monitor was broken--completely non-functional for the entire flight. A minor inconvenience? Not quite. I was seated next to a man who went from friendly to frigid in the blink of an eye, and having no access to any inflight entertainment left me with no way to mentally buffer his inexplicable, ice-cold energy. It turned what should've been a routine flight into an uncomfortable, claustrophobic endurance test. The flight attendant was kind and made an effort to help, even offering a complimentary item. I declined--what I wanted was a number to call and speak to someone who could actually resolve the issue. When I called JetBlue afterward, I was connected to someone named "Gypsum" who gave me the customer service equivalent of a melodramatic soap opera monologue. "It breaks my heart you had to endure that," he said--before proceeding to do absolutely nothing. Because I booked this through JetBlue Vacations (which has been a disaster in its own right--they couldn't even tell me the nightly room rate), he claimed he couldn't help and tried to transfer me to the same group that's been spinning in circles since day one. I hung up. Furious. Fed up. Done. I will never use JetBlue again. Not because a monitor was broken--but because the entire operation, from booking through JetBlue Vacations to the final unhelpful call, is emblematic of a company that pretends to care while refusing to take responsibility. I have over 1M miles flown on multiple airlines. My experience with JetBlue was asolutely the WORST. I booked a flight but cancelled it immediately. I received a cancellation confirmation. I was billed for the trip anyway. I called customer service finally got through and they could do nothing. I provided the receipt and cancellation notice from the airline. Still they would not provide a refund. ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. For fun, go on their website and see if you can find a customer service number. Very difficult. Also note they CHARGE for customer service! RUN AWAY from JETBLUE! Given this poor level of customer care for office issues I can only wonder what might happen if there was an in-flight emergency! Terrible company. read more

I am solidly pleased with Jet Blue service out of Westchester airport. I would rather have less selection, smaller planes and the convenience of a small, accessible airport. The seating is fairly standard across their fleet and they offer more legroom than any other airline in main cabin. The snacking selection is decent and reasonably priced at $8 - $9 and they have a nice red wine choice to wash it down. They do seem to have entertainment system issues on the Embraer jets, but hey, I'll read a book. Looking for my $15 credit for no in-flight on the outbound this trip. Lets see if they follow through. Hoping to build up to Mosaic...a wonderful upgrade for JetBlue frequent flyers. read more

Too many technical difficulties using the app or online. Can't get seats or check bags. Started a chat and the agent was able to get me seats but still no seating chart. I tried a second time and was told they are aware and working on it. I've been trying for almost a week to see if I can get better seats. No luck! This is well documented across several travel sites. I fly Jet Blue frequently and have not had many issues at this location. They are better than the average airline. Even their customer service on the phone is better. But there are a few things to watch out for. Number one..yes there is a chance your flight maybe cancelled if the weather is bad. This has happened, both to me, and to people I know. Jet Blue is a smaller airline than many and that is one of the reasons I like it, but they are more prone to cancellation then the average major airline and that is something that one should know. I would suggest calling the day of, to confirm your flight is on time. Not that there are not sometimes last minute cancellations as well but those you really can't do anything about. Also..and this is not really specific to Jet Blue but something I have noticed with other airlines as well..sometimes the announcements they make, are..I don't know staticky or something. the last time I flew with them, which was just a few weeks ago, we could not understand anything that was coming through the speaker and asked the people next us what was said and they couldn't figure it out either. But that maybe more of an issue for the airports than the airlines themselves. But the good outweighs the bad in my humble opinion. Easy to get to. Easier to park than your average airport. Often more affordable tickets. And I love the "extra leg room" option which is 50 dollars extra a person but these days, with airplanes seeming to get smaller and smaller, this matters. I have taken to using the extra leg room and it makes a difference. You are also allowed two small carry on items, for example, a handbag and a carry on, that can be stored under your seat or overhead. (Wow..I feel like a flight attendant!). But seriously, try the extra leg room. It will allow you to enjoy your flight way more comfortably. All in all, I am happy with Jet Blue. read more

The pilot landed us safely in a tropical storm (in Tampa). Baggage check and pickup were a breeze. I would recommend the $15 for priority boarding, as I got this boarding for $15 for both flights. (round trip flight). The flights have TV & headphone capability, but no phone charging capability. The flight attendants were very nice. Seats were comfortable. read more

First no curbside check in. I walked in spoke with at least 3 agents. Not one knew anything, I showed my ( wallet ) phone. Was told not TSA . Not a good experience at 5:30AM . Then I started to ask as many people as possible Was not notified of gate change. Went all the way to E6. One girl told me it was G6. Long walk then asked a police officer and he googled it told me E 6 . Walked back then stopped a JetBlue gentleman with the orange vest. He check said it was G 3. Plus he checked with girl behind counter. They agreed. Big airport. So I had to go back pass TSA . Finally got to the Gate 3. Must say flight attendant professional, Big But, sorry it's early but not a smile or any pleasantries. When booked it said last seat . No one next to me. Sat in extra leg room seat 3D. TV's small. Jetblue out of White Plains to Orlando. 7:00 am departure flight 195. Greeted by an unkempt individual at the check in desk. This guy must have been out very late the night before. Sloppy to say the least. Anyway, puts my bag on the scale and its 50 lb. 4 oz. He says that will be $169...I took a pair of underwear out of the bag and wore it on my head. Problem solved. The aircraft an Embraer was older than I was...lol.....they said it was the first plane the used on the first flight ever to Buffalo...could have been true. THE CREW WAS EXCELLENT! This is not about Westchester airport. This is strictly about Jet Blue and their newly downgraded service. Starts with the website. Times out constantly and brings you to a new page where you have to put in everything over again. Then let's discuss the TVs on the flight. You might as well carry your own entertainment because they can never get the services to work properly. Now let's talk about the 9 hour delay I experienced. Coming back to Westchester from Fort Lauderdale . Not bad weather, just bad planning on Jet blue. After getting 6 different excuses of why we were delayed for take off until 12:45 at night!!! Later I found out they had no crew for the flight. We were supposed to have taken off at 6 pm. And did they feed us and give us beverages? Yes! we were given small bottles of warm water and a little snack bag of cheeze its. Every trip I have taken in the last year to Florida has been with the same luggage and I carry it on with me. This trip the counter person decided it was too big and made me pay to check it in. Did I write to Jetblue and air my grievances? Yes. The first time I got nothing. The second time I got a response that they will get back to me in 5-10 days!!! This last time they got back to me via email, the "person" who sent the email (probably a robot) had only a first name and no contact information. They offered me a $15 credit to use within a year. HA! a joke! Saving $100 on my flight is not worth this aggrevation and I do not think I will use or refer Jet Blue anymore. If I could give 0 stars I would. I didn't have an arm rest in my aisle set. I was offered money, 15$, but the money being offer on the plane, in the case you are inconvenienced and uncomfortable, is to shut you up for the flight. HPN to MCO I went to check in my bag for a flight that was originally supposed to take off at 2pm but got delayed till 4:16 pm due to thunderstorms in Orlando and that's where the the plane was coming from. We went to check in the bag at 3:20 pm and attendant Ryan at the JetBlue desk said that we had to be there 40 minutes prior to the original time of the flight (2 pm even thought it was two hours late) to check in the bag. I could see that even before we got to the counter to check in our bag Ryan was having a bad day and had a very grumpy/rude attitude. He was giving the people in front of us a hard time about their checked bag and was working very slowly. He did not allow us to give in our bag. He kept saying that we missed our flight because of the original time even though the flight had not even taken off yet. He rebooked our flight to the 5:30 pm one even though our original flight had not even taken off yet it was supposed to take off at 4:16 pm but they kept updating the time closer and closer to 4 pm for some reason. I think that is a waste of time. Now sitting in the airport for over another hour waiting to board. Jetblue should be sending emails and constant alerts to the people on the flight with important information like this. Instead we were blind sighted when we arrived to the Jetblue desk. I would give this review 0 stars if that was allowed. Overall Ryan showed horrible customer service. JetBlue needs to have more training on how to properly deliver great customer service because right now it is nonexistent to say the least. read more

Fantastic experience from start to finish. Service with a smile every step of the way. And Eileen at the ticket counter ( I hope I am getting her name right -- might be Maureen) went above and beyond! My wife and I checked in at the counter and had different seats in different areas of the plane. She notes this and even though we hadn't asked-- she finds us 2 aisle seats THE LAST 2 on the plane right next to one another-- and pops us right in them. She makes a declaration to all others " please don't book row 21 guys!! I'm holding it now!" And we were set to fly. Well she made the trip for us!! This is what customer service is all about. Thank you so much Jet Blue and Eileen. You didn't have to go above and beyond, but you sure did! And the service was lovely, the attendants polite, the flight safe and on time. Jet Blue rocks! Booked a flight for my parents for return to Connecticut from Florida on May 9th. My sister passed away unexpectedly and I had to change their flight to return on April 1st. I was charged another $800 and the existing flight is still showing as scheduled. They will not take calls if your flight is not within 7 days. They're using covid as an excuse. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! You CANNOT get them on the phone!!!! Anytime of day or night, they have a 3+ hour wait to talk to anyone! My son's flight was delayed leaving. Once at his destination, we got a call of a family medical emergency and he needed to GET HOME. Unable to reach them via phone, we attempted to get a flight online. Nothing for that day, so he drove up from Fl. to NY. with a family member. Then there was no option to cancel his flight, only change it. I am now forces to call them and CANNOT GET THROUGH! It is 1am now. I've been on hold since 7:15pm. After almost 3 hrs., they picked up and disconnected me!!! I immediately called back and was told it was a 189 minute wait time, AGAIN! Well, it's now been a total of 6 hours and NO ANSWER YET!.. This is BAD BUSINESS!! There is NO WAY it should EVER take this long to get through to any business, especially one with time sensitive issues! I am LIVID at this point! This really is NOT ok! Aside from this, his initial flight was delayed, but nothing like my nieces the week before! She had a 7+ hour delay (NOT weather related). It was a MESS. No food, even though they were finally given vouchers. Another passenger was injured after falling on the escalator and nobody could get my niece anything to help this poor man out! What a great airline! I was originally flying to Orlando and then Nyc from Cancun but they let me switch to a direct flight for only $50. The flight attendants are very friendly and helpful. And the legroom! So much legroom. Actually felt comfortable in the seat instead of being scrunched up like a sardine. The entertainment options are not much though. I didn't mind as I slept through most of the flight. Would definitely fly this airline again, especially for long flights. read more

My son flew from Los Angeles to New York (JFK) on 6/22/2020. He had a window seat. The passenger on the aisle took off his mask and spent the rest of the long flight with no facial covering. The flight attendants did not insist that the other passenger replace his mask. This individual was also coughing. This is not acceptable policy by JetBlue. read more

Terrible! They advertise that all you need to bring is your appetite! They don't tell you they don't have enough to go around. We were on a late flight and were starving due to nothing to eat. When we arrived nothing was open. The flight attendants were surly and didn't seem to care. The "free" WiFi was so bad it was barely good enough to text. The Directv advertised cut out mid program. Should have taken Southwest to LaGuardia, at least that way you know what to expect instead of a bunch of false hype! When we complained, they offered us two $25 discounts on future tickets. Worst experience with airline ever. My husband and I booked a trip to Washington for family wedding. The night before I logged in to get our seat confirmation. Not valid confirmation ( booked months before) They cancelled flight- transferred us to American Airlines at LGA. We had parking all set, and no notice- just cancelled. I had to pay American an extra 160 to reserve a seat that night ( 2am) and when we got to airport they overbooked flight. There was no notice or prior email. If I hadn't tried to reserve seat would have had no idea. When I called jet blue airline they apologized, late notice, promised Trueblue points.. nothing. I emailed, I reached out nothing. I called tonight as we are trying to travel again ( 8 months later) and jet blue rep said no record of flight or my reservation and hung up after I waited 38 minutes and he Just hung up- I am speechless how an airline could treat anyone this way. Very traumatizing experience with the Jet Blue employees at the check in desk; Paula and Chanel . My family and I arrived 40 minutes before the flight took off, when we arrived we told them the flight was in 40 minutes and they told us we would get on the flight to just wait because "we were only waiting for 4 minutes" while they were arguing with the people in front of us on the line who's flight was leaving 5 hours later (for ten minutes ). In addition to us missing our flight because they wouldn't let us through to security because we were late by "4 mins" . Took 2 flights through JetBlue to San Juan from NY then back. Both flights had TVs that were broken on the whole plane. With this the map feature was also unable to be used. On the the first flight the TVs being broken was never acknowledged or apologized for. On the way back they put a "complimentary" movie on because of it and when i went to watch i found it was in another language. The flight attendants were extremely inhospitable. I have flown JetBlue for as long as i can remember and never had problems like this let alone on two flights in a row. It seems to me they are over confident and getting lazy with their service. the most horrendous airline experience of my 56 years. ive made 7 reservations on Jetblue in the last 6 weeks---a 100% failure rate from 5/22 - 6/18 Supervisor Ted is the MOST insipid, horrid, bitchy, uncompassionate, insensitive and inept professional i've ever dealt with in the airline industry. i have traveled all over the world, since i was a child. He is totally incapable of deescalating anger over JetBlue's systematic failures--this is the guy who has about as much patience and people skills as Donald Trump, and if his absurd excuses are questioned, he immediately threatens to prevent you from flying--this after 7 consecutive cancellations by JetBlue, and calling me a horribly angry person for complaining about their incompetence--incompetence which is shared by millions across the globe, including this airports own TSA!!! i implore JetBlue to terminate Ted immediately. i'm forever gone from this ValueJet of the 2020s---but if you want to save any more customers from whats become a joke of the industry, remove this incapable, nasty, incompetent, sewage of a supervisor STAT. His treatment of my family and i was akin to a hostage experience. That is how he made us felt. After thousands of dollars lost, due to an unacceptable and bizarre record of cancellations, unreasonable delays, absurd excuses and using threats of denying travel when his abiguiity, nonsense, and false accusations are questioned.The stress he caused us tonight --after my 8th flight was delayed tonight (so far for over 5 hours this evening due to "weather"--weather which wasn't "there"--and when i attempted to show him my cellphone's radar service, he again threatened our family with refusing us boarding in tonight's flight (orig scheduled to depart here at 7pm, and now "may" depart after ). Jet blue is my airline of choice for many reasons. 1. Its convenient for travel to s fla. And 2. They dpnt over book and are pleasant enough as far as staff. Westchester airport is most convenient to fort lauderdale airport for me to fly in and out. Jet blue is lacking some of the small touches it had as a small lower budget airline ironically but in the airline industry is still better than many. Mosaic has great benefits while flying. My friends grandmother had a flight for JetBlue that she purchased through Expedia. The flight was for 2:26 we arrived at JetBlue at 11:45am. When we went to check in They told us that she couldn't leave today because the flight already left and there was no flights available until Friday. We were never aware that the flight was leaving earlier we didn't receive any information and we called prior to leaving the house to make sure the flight wasn't delayed. My friends mom had to go to the help desk which they then helped my grandmother get a flight at 11pm at night. This was the worst traveling experience there was many people crying in the airport because they couldn't leave there also another old lady in a wheelchair who was by herself because her family dropped her off the people in the desk were so rude to the poor lady that She had to say something to the employee no one should have to go through this experience when traveling if there isn't enough tickets to sell DONT sell them!!!! My friends grandmother is now experiencing bad back problems due to sitting in wheelchair for more then 12 hours this is really ridiculous and I will continue writing reviews and contacting customer service until something is done!! thats not how you treat paying customers especially if they are disabled my friends grandmother might not be able to defend herself but im here and i need something done about this because its truly not right at all. all JetBlue customers were on that plane on time clearly they received notice unlike me. I had booked a three day vacation to Disney with my family for my 18th birthday/graduation. JetBlue cancelled our flight as we were about to leave for the airport, and rescheduled it automatically for Monday... When we were coming home on Tuesday. Not only did they not have any flights to put us on until basically the end of our trip, but because of their "maintenance" my entire Disney reservation had to be cancelled or we would have to pay an extra $1000 to move the booking back a day, which we also couldn't do. Upon calling customer service, the first lady who we spoke to was unhelpful, put us on hold 3 times, and then sent us to her superviser, "Tara" or possibly "Kara." Tara decided the best she could do was give us $50 vouchers a person for our next JetBlue flight. A total of $200. What absolutely horrible customer service offers $200 compensation on a thousands-of-dollars worth trip that had to be cancelled because they couldn't keep their own planes working! Some pilot must have been lazy because there was probably definitely an aircraft somewhere that they could have used. NEVER use JetBlue... Unless you want to get to your destination 3 days late and a day before you leave :) I would also like to add that I read JetBlue's customer contract and if they cancel your flight you're only entitled to a $50 voucher, but if you're flight is delayed 6 hours or more you get a $200 voucher. Personally, considering the next flight they could put me on was two days later, I personally believe that they could have offered us the $200 voucher, or even upgraded our next trip to first class for no extra fee. But, if a company doesn't care about their customers like JetBlue, I guess they don't care if they treat us poorly. read more
