The customer service is unlike any other barber place we went. Worth every single cent and then some! #Jenwassowonderful

In the past, I have felt worried about hairstylists giving off a judgy vibe. And if you're a girl, you know how humbling having that salon chair garment draped on you with your Voldemort turban on can be. Last thing I want is more judgment! But none of that here! Tiffany shared knowledge on the kind of hair I have and it was so nice to have a professional validate the things I think about my hair but have no knowledge of. She gave me recommendations on how to keep it healthy and encouraged me to take a break from coloring while my hair regains its strength. 100/10 recommend. Heads up! Parking lot is small

I've been going to Nancy to have my hair cut for about the last 20 years, starting when the place…read morewas called Jenny's Beauty Salon. I know I can depend on Nancy to cut it exactly as I ask, and now, after so many years, I usually just say "the usual" and she cuts it perfectly. (My hair is short and "no fuss".) Recently, I let it get too long and was in dire need of a haircut. Nancy was on vacation and I couldn't wait another week, so I went to a fancy (expensive) salon in Willow Glen. They gave me one of the worst haircuts I've ever had. I lived with it for a week and then asked Nancy to fix it. She did a great job and it was a relief to be back with someone I trust. Nancy's prices are reasonable and she takes appointments.

The staff and the vibe was super friendly and inviting. The price wasn't too bad especially with their frequent visits program where you get a card and if you visit a number of times you get a free haircut. They also do hair washing there which was nice because you wouldn't want to head somewhere with flying hair all over.

However a catch a vibe they are debating who will cut my hair then they wait, linger (pretend to be busy) then call my name. It's absolutely obnoxious, the hair cut wasn't bad. But the customer service is poor. Also, no point in having TVs if my back is too the one in my area. I have to remove my glasses to get the haircut so I can't see the TVs on the other stations. Maybe I'll wait next time and go to the one in Morgan Hill that I usually go to

Let me start by saying that I've gotten very good haircuts here…read more I'd give this barber shop 5 stars if not for one big issue... When I first started coming here, I found a barber that I really liked. Unfortunately, he didn't show up for my appointment with him twice in a row. The first time, I thought "maybe he isn't in today because of some emergency or something." I rescheduled, and when I showed up for the second appointment, the staff said they didn't know why he didn't show up again. I was pretty pissed off, driving all the way there on two different occasions, just to find out that the barber I booked with didn't show up. I wasn't notified either time. All that said, I have had reliably good haircuts with a different barber here ever since. It's a shame that the nonsense happened with the other barber...

I've been going to Corey for at least 4 years so this review is long overdue. I found Corey by…read moregoogling "Asian men's hair" and he appeared on the bottom of the first page. At the time, he was close to where I lived. Since that time, he is now far from where I live and his availability and my work hours on occasion make it difficult to schedule...but he is worth it. Three things make him stand out better to me than any other person that has cut my hair: 1. I usually try to get a haircut every 5 weeks. I can give myself a fade on the sides (or at least, he is kind enough to not give me his real opinion!) But due to life and work, getting a regularly scheduled haircut isn't always the case. However, I feel like I can go a few weeks longer without my hair going native on me. It just keeps its shape. 2. Having straight, black, Asian hair, I've always had to use product to get it to lay down especially on certain mornings. As my hair got longer and more unruly, I would feel like I would have to use more product. Corey's haircuts almost require no need for product in my hair. Sometimes, I just use a leave-in conditioner to hold things in place or I've even just left the house with nothing in my hair on occasion. For me, this is unheard of since 7th grade. 3. I've always characterized the time after a haircut as occurring in 3 phases. The immediate phase when the hair is shortest, the "sweet spot" phase when the haircut looks sharp, and the end when the hair is too long and you need a hair cut. The "sweet spot" is the period where you enjoy the haircut. Where you look in the mirror and gleam at the high and tight fade. Where your hair is manageable and you don't have to think about your hair amongst the myriad of other things you have to worry about in your life. Corey's haircuts have the longest "sweet spot" period out of all the haircuts I've ever had. By far. Other than that, Corey is just a really good dude. He is easy to talk to and time just easily passes between us.

I get a haircut there around every 4-6 weeks, and recommend it to anybody that asks me where to get a haircut in Downtown. Environment Professional, spacious, clean, comfortable. There are two leather couches, a coat hanger, and even a coffee machine there (not instant coffee - real, fresh ground coffee). Service JB is my guy at Concept, and he is not only skilled but he actively maintains me as a client. He documents each cut, familiarized himself with my hair type, and can consistently replicate previous cuts or make adjustments depending on what I'm going for. Usually I just go in with a vague request like "Just a clean up, maybe some shaping on the beard" and he always delivers with something that looks good.
