Luis started cutting My Son's hair and then I started bringing my seven-year-old nephew here and he's done an amazing job on cutting both their hair. My nephew has lots of energy enjoys talking so much and Luis is just so kind and patient with him and engages in conversation with him like he's really invested with whatever my nephew talks about. First time trying this barbershop and I think there's not gonna be a second time. Place is good, ample parking outside. Brandon was my barber. I showed a picture of how I want the haircut to be (top photo referenced below), he checked it twice but the final result is far from how it should be. I've been getting this kind of haircut for quite some time but this is way different from how it was done before. I did tell him that it's kinda boxy but he argued that he thought I want a hard part and said that he can fix it but the shape would be weird. When I first moved here it was difficult to look for a great barbershop that cut Black men hair, without paying an obscene amount for it! However, I'm glad to have found this barbershop when I lived in San Jose. Overall, this is a clean barbershop with reasonable prices. Typically, I would pay around $45 for a cut that included the beard and haircut. The barbers here are great! They are nice, professional and get the job done! I typically go to Pogi or David but when they were not available, I went to who was available! Honestly you cannot go wrong with any barber in the shop! It's a very chill vibe and comforting vibe. This review has been long over due. I have been coming here for over a year more closely to two years. The shop is always clean and well maintained and organized. The vibe is always chill and has that barbershop feel. I typically get my cut from David and I am always satisfied with the cut. I'm very particular about my hair and my beard and he always is willing to go over something if I want it shorter or my precise. I've also seen other barbers and have always been satisfied with the work they do. I recently booked a cut & beard trim easily on their site. The spacious room had clean, bright work stations and was uplifting with the sound of cheerful banter and chill background music. While enjoying the patient and methodical trim I had a great conversation with my barber who was both skilled & seemed like a genuinely kind person. This has definitely become my new go-to barbershop, no doubt about it. I made sure to book an appointment both times but they do take walk-ins. Although, I would recommend booking an appointment online so you wont have to wait more than a few minutes when you go in (or however long your barber needs to finish the haircut before yours - not more than 5 mins or so). The shop is seemingly on the up and up so walk-in spots get filled quickly. I liked the haircut but it was hurting quite a lot when the barber worked on the neck, came back home to see what's going on. I have never left a barbershop with a mark like this in 34 years! Positives, they have a very open schedule. After the cut I could tell why. I scheduled an appointment with Gabe and asked for a high/mid fade. During the haircut I asked him to raise my fade multiple times. When he said he was done I thought we were half way there. I told him it looked funky since the front was faded and the back was tapered. He said that he didn't have time to fix it and even if he did he would need to charge me for ANOTHER hair cut. Came in with my 12 year old son. Let me start by saying that I have been looking for a barber shop for my son for awhile. He can get over stimulated due to being blind he also has cerebral palsy so he is in a wheelchair. I came in and was greeted right away. I explained to the owner about my son and asked him if he had anyone that can work with my son someone that has patience and compassion. It is not easy finding someone to cut my sons hair and even though I have been doing it for the past 12 years, I want to start taking him in to get his haircut but somebody in a professional setting. I have not had such luck whom ever I have taken him to in the past always leaves hair all down his neck. Or would cut his sideburns unevenly. or are way too rough and inconsiderate. He tells me he has somebody. He was currently cutting hair but we would be next, and he thinks he'll be the right fit His name is Garrison. So I wait with my son in the car until he's done with a cut and he comes out to get us and start asking questions right away. How I want to cut his hair? Should the music be turned down, will we be cutting his hair in the wheelchair because they can do that or will I be transferring him to the barber chair? He proceeds to cut hair And he actually cared about what he was doing. I don't know how many times I've taken him in to get a haircut somewhere else and people think just because he can't see or that because he can't comprehend that they can do what they want. or that it doesn't matter. But my son deserves to have a good haircut just like anybody else. Garrison was kind, compassionate, and caring he did a great job cutting his hair and also made sure to keep checking on my son when he was getting overstimulated by the clippers. He went above and beyond I definitely recommend this Barbershop and I definitely recommend Garrison. That fact that he turned down the music a bit so it wouldn't be blasting and overstimulating just goes so show how great of customer service this barbershop has super professional thank you!!!!
