This spot is dope. It's easy to miss from the outside and you could walk right past it without realizing what you're sleeping on but once you step inside the energy is bigger than the shop itself. Everybody in there was cool as hell friendly welcoming and clearly takes pride in their work. I don't want to single anyone out because I'm sure they're all solid or they wouldn't be there but my barber was Nick and he absolutely killed it. The quality of the cut was head and shoulders above the rest and the price for that level of work is more than reasonable. It's close to home and this is 100 percent my go to barber now. Bert (Albert) is fantastic. We saw him after a recommendation from a friend with amazing hair that's seen him for a while. In addition to whatever else Bert does, I simply know that he can do an entire scissor cut that's beautifully blended around the neck, crown and ears/sideburns which I just love for my husband and son. It rarely ever happens, but when my usual barber is booked up, and I'm in desperate need of a cut, I always have to find a new spot. I've been going to my barber for 15+ years so it's always a little difficult to find somewhere/someone that comes close. I've been to a few other places and none of them were it. After reviewing multiple places on Yelp, I noticed Burton's had a perfect 5/5 star rating, which is unheard of on yelp when you look at anything. That made it an easy choice. I made my reservation with Oscar for Saturday afternoon. It was easy using their online reservation scheduler. Upon arrival, Oscar was already there waiting for me. The shop is very clean, bright and organized. There are multiple barbers working there and it's a very lively spot. The music was playing and it definitely gave barbershop vibes. I told Oscar what I wanted and he was able to deliver. He noticed how my hair was based on my previous cut and asked if this was what my usual barber did. I really appreciated him asking multiple times to ensure this is how I wanted it. He brought up suggestions on the back of my head, which I couldn't see. Overall, I was happy with the cut. It turned out pretty solid. Great barbershop, great vibes. The whole staff were very friendly. For first time cuts, you get a discount. Much appreciated! Let me preface this by saying I needed a hair cut for a 1 year old- the amount of proper barber shops I called that don't see clients that young, we're more than most. I understand wanting a child to sit for the cut but babies have crazy hair! So I called, was able to get an appointment next day with Avery. He was so patient, and easy going. The shop is very chill and relaxed. Clients looked happy to be there. We sat in the chair, baby on my lap and 6 minutes later he was done! It was painless, no tears- neither from myself nor baby, and all was good in the world. My son no longer looked like a girl with long hair Al other way around, and he got a cute cut that frames his chubby little face. They also sell some amazing hair products! I recently moved to Santa Clara and urgently needed a cut. I came across this shop online and decided to give it a try and it truthfully paid off. I booked an appointment with Nick and truth be told I was a bit nervous coming into a new shop not know how the experience would turn out but Nick was very welcoming and his conversation skills made my first visit very inviting. I think the key to a great haircut is communicating with your barber what you want and Nick understood the assignment. I was making a transition from a permed middle part and wanted a more cleaned up look. My son also truly enjoyed talking to Casey and getting her hair care advice - she is such a nice and genuine person. I came in today for the first time and nervous. Nervous because I'm trying a new place for the first time. I walked in and immediately was asked if I wanted a drink (beer/whiskey). The vibe was chill. Good music playing. Burton welcomed me as if he's known me for years! He took me back and washed my hair while placing a hot towel on my face. So good! At his chair, he asked me and listened, actually listened to what type of cut I wanted! After 45 min of chill talk, chill music and a neck/shoulder massage... he spins me around and I see my cut.
