I came in today for the first time and nervous. Nervous because I'm trying a new place for the first time. I walked in and immediately was asked if I wanted a drink (beer/whiskey). The vibe was chill. Good music playing. Burton welcomed me as if he's known me for years! He took me back and washed my hair while placing a hot towel on my face. So good! At his chair, he asked me and listened, actually listened to what type of cut I wanted! After 45 min of chill talk, chill music and a neck/shoulder massage... he spins me around and I see my cut. EXACTLY what I wanted!! I'm so happy. He even explained the cut and style to me and made sure I knew what product and how to style my hair, if I needed to. Full service!!! Great cuts at a good price. I don't go to anyone for a cut, but Burton has always proven to have top notch service. This is his new place and it's still coming together, but the service is still the same. During my last visit, I got cut by Isaac and he's just as good with the clippers. He gave me a clean, low fade with no lines and no stragglers on top. He even pulled out the razor to line me up. I was thoroughly impressed with the professionalism of Isaac. He was on time and quick with the cut. Overall, I had a good experience at Burton's even though I didn't get by Burton this time. I was a first time walk in customer. I told Mitch or Joe, not sure which, that I only wanted a trim, A TRIM--to take off no more than 1/2 inch. I was scalped. He couldn't stop cutting and buzzing and it was hard to tell how much he was cutting off because my hair was wet. When I left, I hardly had any hair left on my sides and back. If you want a buzz cut and a visible scalp, this is your place. If you're looking for a trim or clean up avoid this place--unless you're going in the witness protection program and are looking for a disguise. I am so pissed--what is it with barbers that don't listen--1/2" off means 1/2' off--not a buzz cut. Geez!!! Makes Edward Sissorhands look like a pro--ugh. read more

My 2 year old son has had his ups and downs when it comes to getting his hair cut. We've had our fair share of meltdowns in the seat, which has led to a few not-so-great haircuts. A family friend invited us with him to get a haircut with Matt. My son was surprisingly calm & Matt was able to give him a clean fade. He walked out, zero tears, looking grown - I was amazed! Moral of the story is this: We've been to a handful of salons/barbershops who offer "kids cuts" and absolutely none of them have been up to this standard. Most of those places cut on a time crunch, paying zero attention to detail. If you have kids & you want to give them something other than the classic combover, do yourself & your kids a favor and go see Matt. You will not be disappointed.
