The Hardcore Barber is a by far one of the best shops in the South Bay. I highly recommend Tom Bustamonte. He is a very professional, experienced barber. Always attentive, flexible and overall a great person. Highly recommend! read more

I always like the haircut that is done by Tom B. This is my first time to drop by The Hardcore Barber. The inside decors are very interesting and unique. I like the fade (like gradient from light to dark) he skillfully put on my haircut. Tom is very friendly and as very professional. Please stop by there and ask for Tom for your haircut. read more

Tom is a wonderful gentleman who really knows how to cut hair! I decided to give him a try after reading rave reviews from others who had followed him over to THB from the shop that he used to work at. He did a great job according to the photos that I showed him and we had a nice chat about all kinds of random topics. I did end up slightly point cutting back the fringe a little more by myself at home once I got back but he got everything else spot on. I would be happy to return the next time I am in the Los Gatos area and need a haircut! read more

We followed Ramsey from his last shop. He's been cutting my son's hair for years and he's amazing. My 9 year old son has sensory issues and Ramsey has always been considerate of that while still providing an excellent cut. read more

My boyfriend goes here and he loves the convenient location in downtown Los Gatos and they really do a good job on men's haircuts. He has been going to Tom for years and everyone that works there is friendly and the location is clean. read more

The Hardcore Barber is exactly what you want in a barbershop -- great cuts, great vibe, and great people. The atmosphere is always upbeat and full of good conversation -- the kind of place where you actually look forward to sitting in the chair or even just hanging out while you wait. All the barbers here are skilled and genuinely good people who take pride in what they do. Tom is not only an excellent barber but also just a solid person all around. He really cares about making sure you leave with a cut you're happy with and always brings great conversation to the chair. If you're looking for a spot that blends skill, personality, and community -- this is it. Highly recommend. read more

Environment is awesome and in a good location. Tom is a very nice guy and helped me today. Always struggled with haircuts and he went through it with me step by step. Definitely going back. The price is worth the skill level these guys have. read more

Tom is phenomenal! Followed him over from another barber shop. This spot is clean, unique, and fun. The decor and atmosphere makes for a great experience. The owner Johnny is wonderful and welcoming as well. Tom makes me feel comfortable and confident each time I come in. He cares about his clients and truly takes pride in his work. Genuinely is interested in having a relationship with his clients and ensuring I have a great haircut and experience each time. I have never felt rushed and he has always taken the time to go above and beyond for me. I consistently get compliments on every haircut I have got from him. The shop, quality, vibe - all fantastic. This is the place to go and Tom is your man. My hair grows fast and I typically get the Deluxe Haircut w/ Beard Trim when I come. He does a towel shave and always gives me clean lines for my beard. He has great products recommendations as well to keep me looking styled between haircuts. I highly recommend Tom and Hardcore Barbers! Looking forward to coming back. read more

I have been coming to see Johnny for a couple of years when I moved to Los Gatos. He does a good job with haircut, the best I have had. I write this review a bit scared as he is harder to get in with so I don't want him too busy but he does a great job and deserves the rating. read more

I've been going to 'Dirty Dan' for almost a year - he a skilled barber and all around cool guy. I'll continue getting my hair cut here.

Dirty Dan cut my hair but he ain't dirty. He's super chill and listened carefully to what I wanted and did a fantastic job. I've had a bunch of compliments since I was there a few weeks ago. I often stay in the South Bay now when I'm in the area, and Hardcore Barber is my new go-to place for a haircut. Thanks DD! read more

Was looking for a new barber for my grandpa after his called it quits. We tried a few and luckily found this spot. All the staff is super friendly and Dan the man takes care of him. Highly recommend all of the barbers. read more

Over a long life, I've had about 1.000 haircuts (and some very close shaves, but that is another story). My worst haircut was at the Naval Boot Camp in San Diego; among the best was my haircut yesterday by Dirty Dan in a Man Cave in Los Gatos! He may call himself Dirty Dan, but he and the shop were spotless and blessedly low-key, except for some good tunes in the background. When he placed the hot towel on my scared face, I knew I was finally in the right place. No more fancy salons, just a Barber Shop that does one thing and does it well! That is all this man wants or needs in an often rushed and crazy world. Dirty Dan does Gray Hair and Old Beards very, very well! Confirmed by my wife (and Chief Fashion Consultant). Next to his dog, his Barber is a man's best friend! read more

Johnny is such a nice guy and I am looking forward to many more cuts at his shop! Parking is pretty easy and I love the clientele is all ages. read more

Johnny does and amazing job. He's a true barber capable if giving you a classic cut while using new tools snd methods. It usually takes me several months trying to find a barber whom I like. He knew what I wanted. His techniques are bar to none. I am very happy with Johnny and I suspect that his business partner gives great haircuts too judging by her back to back appointments. read more

Took my 13 year old son to see Dirty Dan this morning. We showed him a picture of the hair cut he wanted and Dan took the time to go over it with him and explain how it would work with his hair. The cut came out great and my son said he would go back. He is a hard one to win over, so that's a score! read more

I've been going to Johnny for about 6 months now. Not only is the shop super clean and the vibe is epic, Johnny himself is the best barber I have ever been too. He's chill, friendly, and just a solid dude. And on top of all that, every time I get a haircut I have to fight off all the women walking down the street. Probably got 100 different job offers since I started going to him. If you are looking for a new girlfriend and a new job, the Hardcore Barber is your starting point. read more

The best haircut I've had in the last 10 years. You would think a men's haircut would be easy but I can tell you that I constantly ran into issues. Cut too short, not even once I got home, didn't listen to my instructions, etc. The owner made it look easy. I will certainly go back. read more

I never write reviews but this place deserves it. Jay gave me the best haircut I've ever had. Great spot!

I've been going to Johnny for a couple of years now and he never disappoints. This man will consistently give you the best haircut you could imagine. Not only is he a master of his trade, consistently giving topnotch quality cuts, but he is an incredible human being. He truly loves is job, and will never make compromises to the quality of the haircut he gives, always takes his due diligence no matter the circumstances. His personality is truly what makes it such a great experience though. He is a very genuine guy who likes to get to know his clients personally. read more

Johnny has been cutting my hair for a couple years (formerly at Royal Shaving Parlor) and once he struck out on his own, I had to follow. You won't get the standard Silicon Valley chit chat - at one place I was at I heard the barber on my left talk about their spouses Apple RSUs and the barber on my right talk about how they went keto - but you will get some solid old school scissor skills and a keen eye for detail. There are plenty of places you can go for fades and other things of that nature, but finding a barber that can give you a haircut that will still look good five weeks later is a lot harder to find - but you can get that here. read more

I have been going to Johny for years now and it's always been an excellent experience. No need for me to remember how we cut my hair he always remembers what we did last and I get repeat results. His move to his new location was a blessing as its much easier to get in and more personal service. read more
