I took my dog to this location (he's very experienced with being groomed and is trained) he has…read moremultiple cut marks on his bloody paws and his nails are cut far too short and split He also has a cut on his nose. Upon arrival the groomer put their leash around his neck and started choking my perfectly still dog I thought he was just coughing at first until I grabbed the leash around his neck and had to yank him free while still in her hand. Again my dog is very well trained and while he was being choked he was not moving at all that should have been my first red flag to take him and leave . The groomer was Kaylina H

What a horrible experience at this place. I brought my dog in to be groomed as he has been groomed…read moremany times before. At the expected time they did not call me so I called to check in on him. I was told he was "being difficult" so they needed to give him a break. This has never happened before, but I totally supported that idea. When he was finally ready, I went to pick him up and decided ahead of time that I would give a $20 tip since they had to no doubt spent extra time with him and it sounded like a very kind thing to do to give him a little break. I was greeted at the door with, "he peed all over the door. " I wasn't quite sure what to do at that point. I wasn't sure if I was to clean up after Reggie or give them extra money or?? Clearly letting him out during the five hours that he was there was not on their radar . Also, I quite expected somebody to say, " oh this is what happened", or "this is why he needed a break", but nobody said anything. I laid the $20 on the counter and said, "well this is for the groomer" who I'm pretty sure was Lindsay but not one single person acknowledged me. On top of all this they also nicked him and nobody said anything about that. It's pretty pricey to get your dog groomed here and I think the fact that there is not 1 ounce of customer service was really sad. Unfortunately I won't be going back there, and I also have five friends who have five friends. I hope this place can get their act together because clearly no one had any life skills.

I wanted a bath, nail trimming and grinding service on my five month old puppy. I come back to pick up a slightly damp dog with nails that were hardly cut and not grinded. I was told "your dog didn't like the sound of the blow dryer, so they didn't really have the chance to finish that" and "your dog was scared of the grinder, so we only cut them, and may have nicked one of the nails, but it wasn't too bad." The whole reason I went somewhere "professional" was so these things would be completed, that's what I was planning to pay for. Go literally anywhere else :)

We took it back and got a replacement free of charge. It was dead again within 4 hours. We brought water in for staff to test and were told it should have been fine. Two employees acknowledged that they get betta fish returns all the time. I'm starting to believe they get bad batches that are sickly or already ill. Most of the ones on the shelf seemed lethargic and motionless. I asked an employee if I could purchase a few goldfish for 29 cents each. She asked what size tank i had to which i said a 5 gallon. She stated goldfish need a 20 gallon tank because they can live 15 years and grow larger. I informed her that we hoped they would live a week or so, then she said "sorry we can't sell them to you". I reminded her people buy live goldfish to feed other fish, in fact that's what the entire species is for and why they are listed for 29 cents. She began to ramble on about how majestic they are. We left empty handed and have a tank set up valued at about $80, also empty. Then I had to explain to my 5 year old why they wouldn't sell us a fish. It's their right to refuse business, i cant really fault them for that. Here's my issue; they wanted me to have a 20 gallon tank valued at about $100 for a 30 cent goldfish, yet they have about 200 goldfish swimming around a 20 gallon tank, even with carcasses sank at the bottom of it due to overcrowding. Who's to say how much space 1 goldfish needs? What's the consensus? And who are they to tell me such things when they have betta fish sitting in a single cup of water? Seems a little contradictory. We've been in Petsmart 3 times in 48 hours, what a waste. #avoid

I am so glad that I put my two year old Aussie in training with BlackPaw. Prior to his board and…read moretrain he started having reactions to dogs, people, my horse...after training he is so much better adjusted and I have tools to help in any situation. Before training, walking my pup was stressful. He was pulling on me so badly that it made walks stressful. Now, his heel and sit stay make walks so enjoyable! Thank you for helping Oslo and I. Life is just a little more enjoyable now after his board and train!

So, we just stopped taking her. And, after a very bad reaction to a dog on our walk, where she redirected on me, I would get scared any time we saw a dog when we were out walking and did my best to just avoid dogs altogether. We finally decided we couldn't fix Stella on our own and we decided to take her to Black Paw Dog Training. The training we ALL received has changed our lives! Since her graduation, we have enjoyed Saturday pack walks with other graduates and Stella has done great, walking side by side with other dogs, passing dogs out on the trail and staying in a perfect heel. I never thought it could be possible. She plays ball in a neighborhood park and has perfect recall. And our walks and ball playing in the neighborhood are totally different. She can pass dogs on the trail and just walk on by without losing her mind. And taking her with us to stores is now a fun outing. No more whining. No more pulling. Just a well-behaved pup. Bernadette and Cecilia have opened up a whole new world for us that we never thought was possible. We cannot thank Black Paw Dog Training or recommend them highly enough.
