Beloit is the halfway point between where I live and where my grandparents live, so it's a frequent meeting point for dinner for all of us. We have our usual spots, but wanted to try something new last night. After some searching on Yelp, I discovered Jersey's, and after noting that it was convenient and right off of the highway, decided this would be our dinner spot. Our server, Nikki (not sure how she spells it) was great. Very friendly, prompt, and gave good suggestions. The prices were fantastic. Five of us ate meals, had beverages, and ordered two appetizers and the bill was $69! A 10 oz sirloin with two sides and garlic bread was only $9.99, and my grandfather said it was really good! I had the salmon, which could be a bit dicey at a place like this, but it too was delicious. We were all very impressed, which is impressive in itself, given the fact that our party consisted of two 80 year olds, a 13 year old, and 2 30-somethings, all with varied preferences. Jersey's is without a doubt the finest establishment in Beloit. Great parking lot. I like to stay at the Hampton with Eric that is next to Jersey's. We close down the bar and then are the first one's in the next day. Really enjoy spending time in the parking lot. read more

This place was awful. We had a party of 14 and the server was horrible, she did not check on the table and we had to ask for water. Once our food arrived to our table everything was cold and or over cooked. Some of had to send our food back and it still came out cold. Fish was over cooked, steak was cold and not cooked to ones liking. Sent my chicken back and ordered chili and it came out cold twice. I will never visit the establishment again. read more

We came here for dinner. I had a prime rib 12 ounce with mashed potatoes and coleslaw. My wife had a beef taco salad. The total cost of the meal was $25, including drinks. The prime rib was good and I enjoyed the mashed potatoes. My wife didn't like the taco salad as the tortilla bowl was over-cooked. Being that this restaurant is located in WI, I would have thought the salad would have included cheese. The restaurant was clean and customer service was good and the employees were friendly. We moved into town in April so this was our first time trying Jersey's. We've had several people recommend it so we figured we'd give it a try. Also I'm from the south so when I saw they had fried okra, I knew we had to go! The entire staff was so friendly...but what made our trip even better was the food!!! My husband got the 10oz ribeye (for $9.95...what?!?) and I got the shrimpers basket! Their portion sizes are HUGE...we ordered an appetizer and we couldn't finish our meals. I've been here several times: SERVICE: Service is very slow and inattentive. Service is slightly better sitting at the bar versus a table but either way leaves much to be desired. We used to love the wings here until we found a hair in our food! When we addressed the issue with the waitress she implied that we may have put it there. Then she retracted her comment and said "that it happens"! Another thing we noticed but never paid much attention to was that the bleu cheese dressing/sauce smells rotten or spoiled. We thought they left the sauce outside of the fridge causing it to go bad. When we addressed the issue with another waitress she said it is normal to smell bad! The place was NOT busy and only had 2 other tables. She had the worst demeanor ever. We have had better service at McDonald's. Dumpster diving would be better than going to this place! Sad. We have been trying different all you can eat fish fry's for a while now trying to find the best in the area. We thought we found one that has two locations, one in Illinois and one in Wisconsin. It is still one of the best we've had all around. One thing we ran in to there was that the re-orders take too long. We heard about Jersey's on Facebook and thought we would give it a try. I have to say that Jersey's is one of the best we've had. The service was very good and the re-orders came in a timely manner. The fish was amazing and we will definitely be coming back. As the only restaurant who delivers to the local hotel(s), I was truly hoping the food would at least be 3 star. As a traveler from out of town, I get sick of the pizza thing, ***but dear hotel guests, save yourself and order pizza or hop across the street and go to Culvers, Qdoba, McDonald's, or even to Aldi.*** Onion rings- flavor free onions to go with flavor free batter. No salt, no seasonings, no special zing, not even a bit 'o beer for some zip! The ketchup didn't help... it's flavor-free, too. Prime-rib sandwich: brined to death in salt. The only thing Jersey's likes more than salt as a "seasoning" is pepper. The au jus: Pepper and salt; The prime rib: salt and pepper. No beautiful grill marks or char to help out either-- this poor cow came from brine and was then thrown on a flat pan for a few seconds. This is no way to treat our beef buddy, Prime Rib. And, then sadly, they don't even deliver soda... glad there's a pop machine nearby so I can wash the salt down with some sugar! read more

Stopped in for a late lunch, server greeted us and everything started off great. Drinks delivered, order taken...then we hit a wall! The table beside us ordered the same thing and were done eating before we even started. 50 minutes later the food was delivered. COD and Wings were awesome, fries were cold. The waitress only came back after we were pretty much done eating. The trip to the bathroom reveals an extremely greasy floor, so be careful! Luckily for the waitress the bartender and another waitress picked up her slack, or we most definitely would have walked out before the food arrived. read more

So just left one of my use to be favorite spots that I've ate at for years and get a to go order under the name Shay at least once a week, and I'm so disappointed in the cook and staff. First the pic is a bacon wrapped fIlet mignon,( the best part of the cow) that I ordered well because when I get medium well the way i like it, it don't be done and I have to reheat at home which I never complain about. Since we ate there I got it well. I took one little bite and I chewed it for 5 minutes literally. I tell the waitress I'll pay for everything else but I don't want to pay for something I did not/cannot eat. She goes and gets another waitress, that's worked there for years and should know better, that brings the menu with the small print and tells me that if you order a well done steak there is no refund. Never asked could they make me another one or anything. I ask how do I have to pay for something that's on the plate not even touched because I ordered it a certain way. I ask her to look at the condition that the steak came to the table. She tells me that's because they butterfly it. I told her I cut it to see was it done there was no butterfly on this steak. Steak is my fav food I'll either get it medium or we'll depending on where I go and instead of saying if you order a well done steak there is no refund they should say none of our cooks are good enough to cook a well done steak right. I eat well done steak at liberty house, Merrill and Houston never have a issue. The fact that my filet looked like a dog had already ate on it before I touched it was bad enough it look mangled, but then to try and eat it and can't is ridiculous. In the pic it looks like a bite was taken out of it no that's how it came to the table. So my 5 star is now a 1 because I've never been treated like that at a restaurant. Then the waitress was the same waitress that last time my family ate there my man asked for a glass of water and instead of her getting him a fresh glass of water she took my untouched glass of water and gave it to him smh. Since I eat there all the time and knew she was new I just asked her to never do that again and let her know she's getting knocked on her tip, (which we always leave a great tips all wait staff loves to see us coming). Needless to say today this is my last time patronizing Jersey's and my dog thanks you guys for the steak. You should put as much care in the food as you do in the atmosphere and the robot waitress. I don't usually give places five stars but this place earned it I am a commercial truck driver and it's hard to find places that serve hamburgers with real meat and this places hamburger was great and and cooked perfectly to a medium just like I wanted it I ordered my burger with fries I think the only downside was there was not that many fries so for a place to have a real hamburger meat be able to get it to a burger under $10 is a great deal I was parked out of the pilot and walked up I will definitely marketplace on my map to come back to, they have a nice Decore their staff is friendly and they're always checking on you they also have free Wi-Fi with a fast connection I was able to update my phone and all my apps in 20 minutes read more

So today I will officially never be a customer at jerseys bar and grill again. In the last two months I've been a customer there four times and of those four times they screwed up or served undercooked food three times. Today Sarah and I went there for lunch and ordered taco salads and an appetizer. The appetizer was great the salads were messed up, okay simple issue, accidents happen. We pointed out the issues with the food (Sarah asked for no onions and no tomatoes on her beef taco salad and they put them on hers and made my chicken taco salad with just black olives) the waitress apologized and took them back. They had both salads back out in a few minutes which was okay, however it was very obvious the had simply taken the toppings off of hers and put them on mine as there was a piece of romaine on top of mine with ground beef on it. Her salad still had pieces of tomato and onions in it which turned her stomach. When the server asked how we were doing I brought this to her attention. She asked me how if I was looking for something to complain about then proceeded to debate with me about the salads. After we finished our meal she came over and very rudely stated that she had removed Sarah's tea from the bill to compensate for the yet again poorly made food and walked off before we could say anything. I went to the bar and asked to speak with the manager who came out to speak with me. When I told her what happened she started arguing with me and saying they'd never move toppings from one salad to another and when I provided evidence of the tomatoes we'd found still mixed in with the meat and romaine she started making excuses and continuing to argue. She went back and talked to the owner who was working in the kitchen and he said he'd "dumped" her salad. First of all it took them almost 30 minutes to bring the first salads out that were incorrectly made, secondly the ground beef was luke warm at this point and I'll say it again, STILL HAD TOMATOES AND ONIONS IN IT. The managers excuse... sometimes things fall into stuff as you're making them. The manager quite rudely then said she'd take care of our meal and stormed off. I wasn't born yesterday and it was plain as day that the owner was lying through his teeth, the server and manager were both exceedingly rude and from a service aspect were garbage. Wow. Really? Decent food in Beloit? I was told to come here from co-workers who work in Janesville. Told "they have great wings, give it a try." I was hesitant about even decent food in Beloit, but was pleasantly surprised. This is your typical bar food, but the wings are pretty damn good. I am a wing critic. These are better than your typical wing bars (Hooter's, Quaker Steak, Buffalo wild wings). On a scale of 1-10 I'd give these wings an 8.5 - 9. I tried a few other appetizers (ate here twice in two days) and they were hit or miss. Go here for some beer and wings. You can't go wrong. Price is great. read more

A nice local place near my house that reminds me of a BW3's. Located in a small shopping area only accessible by a frontage road, tucked behind a Subway, and with parking hidden on the sides and rear of the building, Jersey's is somewhat hidden in plain sight. That's not to say it's hard to find, a tall "McDonalds-by-the-interstate" size sign out front makes it easy to spot, but because of the unique traffic-flow pattern, getting there requires some roundabout driving. The interior looks nice, new, clean, but a bit unfinished. Overhead are exposed rafters and exposed ductwork. While slightly less noticeable in a matte black color, the ceiling still reminds more of a warehouse stores' design than a bar. Down a bit lower, Brewers, Badgers and Packers gear adorns the walls, and several TV screens show a variety of sports. There is plenty of booth and table seating and a central bar with seating on three sides. Because of the high, unfinished, ceiling, there is nothing over the bar. It seems like something is missing; like the construction crew forgot to install something. While they place celebrates Wisconsin's teams, the Cubs do get some love. The only TV with the sound turned on was the Cubs game, though I'm betting if the Brewers were on at the same time, we'd be hearing their game instead. The staff and fellow customers seemed very friendly and helpful. The food was good and the portions were very generous. One memorable menu item were the "Bosco" cheese-stuffed breadsticks. I ordered the Breaded Chicken Sandwich and my girlfriend ordered a Patty Melt. Both good choices. The bread on her melt and my chicken was amazing. The fries were good, but nothing special. One downside was the fact that there was no beer list, nor were drink prices listed anywhere we noticed. Turns out our choices (Bud Light Lime and Blue Moon) were only $3, so not too bad. On the way out we noticed several signs promoting drink specials, guess we missed that coming in. I have been going to Jersey's off and on ever since they opened and always had great service and food. Last night changed that. I ordered a prime rib sandwich and the waitress was no where to be found when I discovered the other half of my sandwich was all beef fat they hid under the cheese and onions. When the waitress finally came back and asked us if we wanted a box I pointed out the disappointment of a meal I had. Her response was "Well prime rib does have fat on it". After telling her that half a sandwich should not be all fat I asked that my meal price be cut in half (still willing to pay for the half I could eat) and she stated she could not do that and she'd have to talk to her manager. After the waitress claimed she discussed this with her manger I was told I have to call the next day and talk to the owner. Isn't the manager supposed to resolve customer issues as that is part of their job? Needless to say I will never be back there and will be letting a lot of people know of this. Good location to visit if you are staying at the Hampton Inn, it's literally a stones throw away out the back door. They don't have a great beer selection, but the food menu is pretty solid and the prices are low. I tried the prime rib with mashed potatoes and veggies. It was all cooked pretty well and I can't complain about the quality of food. When I visit town again I will more than likely stop in for another meal. read more

My wife and I have eaten at Jersey's several times. We go for the Friday fish. It is excellent. My wife likes the Taco salad and says that is good also. However, last night we went and I had the Reuben sandwich. When it came to the table the waitress set it down and left. The fries were not cold but BARELY hot. I tried to pick up the sandwich but the bread had so much water soaked into the bottom slice that it fell apart. The corned beef was a 3/8" slab of corn beef and appeared to have been from a can. I have never seen a Reuben made with a slab of corned beef. When I bit into it, the gristle pulled all the corn beef from the sandwich. I tried to eat it but left most of it. Very soggy bread. I told the waitress about it and she brought me hot fries after we were finished eating. I was hoping the manager would come out as I do think he would have wanted to know how bad this sandwich was. My family stays at a nearby hotel several times a year and this is the second time I have visited Jersey's. My first visit was less than great, but give other reviews, we thought we'd give it a try. Never again. I ordered that Steak Salad and it was horrible. Tough grizzley meat and the core of iceberg lettuce. I ordered a glass of Chardonay and it was almost undrinkable. Salmon looked old the arrangement of sides on the plate is odd with little containers. My T bone tasted like it was cooked frozen and wasn't seasoned at all.
