The team at this store does a great job. Came in during Lunch rush and everyone there was working together to get orders out. 10/10 thanks y'all

Barrier for appearances, completely ineffective. Lol

Jersey Mike's has always been good. The only deterrent is chips vs. fries and I love me some fries with any sandwich. Service is good but this makeshift plastic barrier is just for appearances and completely ineffective towards airborne virus. Oh! And get the Kahuna with chipotle Mayo! That's my go to.

Okay Culver's... I see you. Because this was redemption. My…read morefirst visit didn't do it for me, but this time? Whole different experience. The burgers were legit. Cooked to order, juicy and full of flavor. That buttered, toasted bun? Soft with just enough crisp to hold everything together without falling apart. And yes--everything that was supposed to come on the burger actually showed up. (We love consistency.) The mushroom and Swiss burger deserves its own moment. Those butter-sautéed mushrooms with garlic and seasoning paired with the Swiss cheese? Whew. That's the kind of bite that makes you pause mid-chew. Now the chocolate malt... listen. Thick, creamy, made with fresh frozen custard and real dairy--it didn't even make it to the "perfect picture" stage because I was already in it. It was that good. Friendly drive-thru service, minimal wait, and prices that didn't make me side-eye my receipt. Culver's came back strong on this one. And just like that... I'm back in.

Well we got doosie for yall!…read more Passing thru Hutto area and round rock... we saw Culver's and said let's do it! Culver's is smaller burger chain around Austin, we hit them up last Saturday around 6-7pm on 30May2026 (just in case management is trying to isolate the issue) It was busy but not crazy and we thought... oh yea... they are cranking out orders!!! This is a people review not a food review... it was just lame people stuff Running the drive thru was a 30 yo lady who looked like a 45 yo Daniel Cormier... 20 Minutes later (4 cars in front us) we get the food.. good enough! NOW... We want management to see what we see... Daniella (don't know her name, buzz cut hairdo) can't seem to figure out how to focus on taken orders and taking payment... we couldn't hear her because she had the mic too far away...instead focusing on work, she look like the star at a comedy show making everyone laugh... giggling and chatting with her coworkers standing next to her while asking us to repeat the same order 3 different times... It was as if Daniella was challenging the world to say something... she oozed the confidence only true irreverence and contempt for accountability can yield!!! She tried to portray a crash out vibe... lame! Her attitude and personality are a cancer to success... she's an individual who wants to run a team, but doesn't know what she wants to do in life... she doesn't want to be good at drive thru work, I know that... she is infecting your workforce and leading the charge to being the reason why people will continue to complain about your location until she is called out and retrained with a purpose or dismissed... Clearly Daniella is special and her thoughts and feelings are more important than the task at hand... So she shows up and entertains herself by making life difficult for paying customers while she's getting paid... I wish I knew her real name, she was truly a pill of a person... I'm sure you know exactly who I'm talking about... just because those types tend to get weird attention as she remains simply an observer of her own life... a passenger who watches the autonomous nature of her attitude play out through her self justified poor behavior.... Yea sad, she'd rather be rude and non compliant than have a positive impact in the moment for the benefit of being good at your job... Oh... AND we got food sick after... that's why the review!! Is it possible Daniella is the manager, so maybe this is just normal... I noticed similar reviews as mine...

It had all of the potential in the world, but was a big let down. Fast forward 730 days or so, and the Wisconsin Cheese Head wasn't even on the menu anymore. Was it because of my review? I'd like to think so. (It was not.) But my eyes immediately went to the Cowboy burger, which was a BBQ burger - something that will pretty much get me every time. It was a significant upgrade and worthy of an updated review +1 star. The fries were just ok, but the burger was excellent. Unfortunately some other people at the table were not as happy with their orders (loaded nachos, other burgers), but mine was really enjoyable and it's my review, after all. We did not indulge, but the milkshakes that some other tables around us ordered were so hilariously large. Like, nearly the size of some of the kids who ordered them. As a lactose intolerant person, I probably would have actually died had I attempted to finish one, so I enjoyed the view from afar.

First of all, our server had such a poor attitude. She seemed like she couldn't be bothered to exert herself to even speak at an audible volume. She never checked on us after the food came. I saw her just standing around up front by the host while our water glasses were all empty and we needed a couple of other things. There were three empty tables around us with finished meal trash piled up on them when we were first seated and they remained that way the whole time we were there. It's as if there was no one managing the staff at all and the staff couldn't have cared less about providing competent service. As for the food, everyone that ordered burgers seemed surprised that it was two patties. Not sure if they just didn't read the menu closely enough or if it literally didn't say that. The burger tasted fine but no one really wanted double patties. The French fries were crisp and tasty. We also ordered onion rings which were good. Grandson ordered the kids grilled cheese and it was barely grilled, appeared totally white and the cheese was only party melted with some hard pieces still inside. He only ate a few bites of it. I ordered the chef salad with dressing on the side. So it was undressed -- except for the tomatoes which were coated in something. It was weird and kind of grossed me out to have slimy tomatoes on an undressed salad. I have bo idea what that was. I removed all the "crunchy stuff" which I am also not sure of the substance. I wouldn't recommend it. The cost of the meal was pretty shocking. There were 3 adults and 2 kids, no alcohol, no dessert and only 1 order of onion rings as an appetizer. It was almost $200 after tip. I would not come back here. Very depressing atmosphere with poor service, surrounded by dirty tables.

The staff were super friendly, and I saw someone walking around the restaurant multiple times to check in with tables, and meet any unforeseen needs. One of the best decisions we made was ordering shakes. Holy moly. So thick and creamy. According to my hubby their season key lime shake was like drinking a literal key lime pie. He's not wrong. My kids ended up getting spoons to make their way closer to the bottom of the deliciousness. What a treat! We'll be back.

John passed away in early 2024, while his family took over the shop in Pflugerville. Now just about a decade after opening shop, Brotherton's is closing down at the end of August. Following John's passing, they've hit a few road bumps from the rising cost of beef that's been plaguing Texas BBQ. Earlier in January they posted on social media how they were struggling, and again last spring. At the start of August, the Brotherton's family announced Brotherton's Black Iron BBQ in Pflugerville was shuttering for good at the end of August. Knowing this would be the last time I would be able to try it, my buddy and I took an extended lunch break on a Friday to give it a shot. Upon arrival at just around 11:50, we noticed that the parking lot was packed with multiple food trucks and other businesses filling the shopping center. We got lucky with a parking spot far away as we marched inside to wait in line. On the door lay plenty of stickers from different BBQ joints from Texas and beyond, with even some coming from overseas. The line moved slowly but surely, and as we got to the front we got our three-meat plate with a bonus slice of turkey for good measure. We ended up getting to Brotherton's at the perfect time because we got the final slices of brisket on that glorious Friday. I'll share my thoughts on everything we tried: Brisket: Though it looked like a great cut that was nicely seasoned, it was pretty fine overall. Nothing remarkable about their brisket while still very fatty. Jalapeño Cheddar Sausage: Juicy, cheesy, not really too spicy on the jalapeño side of things, but that might just be from the mildness of jalapeños these days. Pork Ribs: These suckers looked incredible from the pictures I saw online and on social media, but they were kinda disappointing based on how incredible they looked visually. They were good, just not as epic as I was hoping. Turkey: Turkey is underrated in the BBQ scene, and this is no exception. A nice cut of meat! Cornbread Casserole: I could've eaten the whole thing myself, so it was a shame that we were sharing. Green Chili Mac and Cheese: I'll repeat myself. I could've eaten the whole thing myself, so it was a shame that we were sharing. As a whole, I'm very glad I gave them a shot before I would never be able to again. That's the hardest part about Texas barbecue. The best places and the historic spots can drop in a moment's notice when hardships hit or the meat prices skyrocket. Sadly, I can tell that they're already at the end of their rope with certain menu options like the loaded nachos and baked potatoes, which always seem like the sign of the end. And with how the food was simply just decent overall, it's hard to justify the rising prices. I see reviews all over saying their quality has fallen off year after year following JMFB's passing, and it makes sense: he was the heart and the soul of the business. When that vaporizes overnight, it's only a matter of time. I don't wish for the downfall of any spot, but I understand that it's bound to happen to certain ones. RIYL: Paying respects to one of the greats in Texas BBQ

They are NOT a virtual kitchen - and it is just as well that they are not a virtual kitchen. They make it sound like Chronic Fries is borrowing space from Urban Chicken. Chronic Fries is not "borrowing space" from Urban Chicken. The two institutions are one and the same. The menu for one is printed on the back of the menu for other. They may have a complicated ownership structure - But that does not get around the fact that this is simply a fast food restaurant where you can order both chicken and fries. * * * I don't see why Chronic Fries would want to be a virtual kitchen. Virtual kitchens are awful antiseptic places where there is no place to sit down. In a virtual kitchen, you get your food from a numbered box. In a virtual kitchen, there is screen against a wall from which you order. Otherwise, you use your phone. It takes effort to make contact with a human being. Virtual Kitchens are total THX 1138. Virtual kitchens s**k. * * * Chronic Fries/Urban Chicken is a nifty place for a fast food restaurant. They have tons of seating both indoors and outdoors. The crowd is heavily college-age which may or may not be collegiate. The crowd is diverse the way Round Rock is diverse. The crowd has a lot of church kids the way Round Rock has a lot of church kids. My male companion and I were the oldest people in the place. Virtual kitchens don't have crowds - let alone young ones. * * * The fries are super-duper. (Okay, for a college aged place, I probably should have used a term less dated than "super-duper".) For the maximum french fry bliss experience, get any version with chicken on top. Some versions give you chicken automatically. All versions let you order chicken on top as an add-on. Urban Chicken does a good chicken And what goes on your French Fries will be top notch. We got three kinds of fries. The standout was the BBQ Mac and Cheese Fries. Hot Cheetos Fries were just what they sound like. The sides that don't have much Hot Cheetos on them are not all that interesting. You get to the part with industrial quantities of ground up Hot Cheetos on top and, Suddenly things start to go live action. Plain macaroni and cheese fries are not that exciting by themselves. But they sell about half a dozen sauces to put on top of your macaroni and cheese fries. Some of those look like they could make a real compelling argument That they belong on your fries If your toppings are not exotic enough already. * * * Just for the record, they also run a soft-serve operation. That soft-serve operation offers milk shakes as a possible beverage. Thumbs up on the soft serve milk shakes. Their version of an Oreo Milkshake has about a truckload of Oreo crumbs dumped on top. On a milkshake that means that the crumbs end up all on the bottom with your maraschino cherry. Why oh why, in the 21st century, do we still have to put up with maraschino cherries? Why oh why, in the 20th century, the 19th century, the 18th century or any century that you can possibly think of, do we still have to put up with maraschino cherries? The church kids eating at the various tables around you can probably explain to you that because Eve ate the Apple in the Garden of Eden - and Adam ate the apple too - that they were thrown out of the Garden of Eden - and forced to have maraschino cherries on top of their desserts. God's love and the Forgiveness of Jesus Christ gives you the really good Oreo Milkshake that surrounds that maraschino cherry. I have no idea if that theology is sound ... But the Oreo milkshake is objectively good And the difficulty of sucking up those Oreo crumbs with your straw Is the exact equivalent of attaining heaven merely by the force of good works. * * * First rate fries. First rate toppings. First rate drinks. A corporate office with an identity problem. And religious people to talk to in the seats If the fries inspire you to seek a higher way. * * * What's not to like? (Outside of the identity problem.)
