I mean, maybe the breakfasts are to die for, so I'm willing to try that before giving up. But my corned beef sandwich was just OK. There are only a couple of bread choices, and not that I wanted rye but you couldn't get a Reuben here, for example. The whole wheat bread was just ... OK. Like go to the grocery and buy their brand off the shelf and that was what it was. The mayo was thinly spread, as was the yellow mustard. I guess there was about 2 oz of meat. Honestly, it just wasn't worth $10 to me. Sandwiches come with nothing, so if you want chips or anything else, you pay separately for those. It's very small, as noted, but very clean. Parking is kinda wonky, although there are enough spaces - just not right in front. You can get to it from the side street (Odenton Road) or cut through between Walgreens and Ace Hardware, from Piney Orchard Parkway.

I yelped breakfast and was surprised to come across this spot. What on earth?! I have lived in this area all my life and have NEVER seen or known about this little deli. I thought it was a taxidermy spot, for some reason? Not the case at all--they apparently have been open for over 70 YEARS! The deli serves as a go-to spot for a quick grab and go or a quick stop-in and sit either inside or outside (total of four tables). Counter deli-style ordering only. They are located off of Piney Orchard Parkway behind the Walgreens and ACE (truly hidden). Other than their breakfast menu items, the Cheesesteak sandwich, scrapple and the Italian sub is what people tend to order here according to the cashier. Yes, it is food you can make at home but something about a good ol'deli just makes it all taste better. Also, totally random but they have a bitcoin dispenser and seem to be the go-to spot for all things related to the lottery. No joke, there have been A LOT of winners here.

However I was frustrated and disappointed that the variety of sandwiches weren't labeled; as people have food allergies and I wanted to make sure folks weren't eating something they can't or don't eat (eg beef or pork). I had to open the sandwiches to try and identify which one was which. Nevertheless, the guests at my pre-Alaska cruise meet-and-greet raved about the charcuterie board! I forwarded Graze Craze's info to several guests who said they will use them for their next event!

At 1:45 an employee working the dining room area asked the name of the order I was waiting on. He went and asked about it and they handed it over to him. The receipt on the bag was 1:37. I guess they don't call out names when an order is ready so my sandwich was just sitting there waiting for someone to ask about it? Anyway- I got my smoky pepper jack turkey sandwich home, opened it up - and there was NO bacon. The sandwich was just okay- I should have just gone a couple doors down to Jersey Mike's. I am annoyed that I tipped at the register when I ordered and in exchange received terrible service and a bland sandwich.

Today was the day! ;) It was around 1140 so it wasn't busy yet, meaning I was able to order immediately and got my takeout order in about 5 minutes. The counter person was friendly and so polite. I chose a "choose two" with broccoli cheddar soup and the jalapeño turkey crunch sandwich. Both turned out to be excellent choices. I have to say that the soup beats Panera hands down. The broccoli was distinct bites, the flavor deep and rich, and there were nice globs of cheddar cheese. Wow! I've never had a sammie made with a jalapeño roll except those I make at home with bakery rolls. This was just delightful, and the "crunch" is supplied by jalapeño kettle chips. Inspired! Even one half of each was plenty to satisfy my hunger, so I'm getting two meals for just over $14 including tip. I will definitely go back to try other soups & sammies!

Newk's Eatery makes grabbing a quick meal easy…read more The biggest thing here is how fresh everything feels. Whether you're getting a sandwich, salad, or pizza, it doesn't feel like typical fast casual food. It's a step above that, but still quick and convenient. I've had the turkey avocado sandwich and the green goddess salad, both solid choices. My daughter usually goes for the pizza and enjoys it every time. We come here every once in a while, and the consistency is there. The atmosphere is laid back and comfortable. It's clean, not too loud, and works whether you're eating in or just stopping by to grab something and go. Service is solid. You order, things come out pretty quick, and the staff is friendly without overdoing it. One thing I will say is Newk's is one of the cleaner eating options in the area. If you're trying to be a little more mindful about what you're eating but still want something convenient, this is a good move. Overall, it's reliable. Fresh food, good options, and easy to work into your routine. Definitely somewhere I keep in rotation.

I basically got a bowl of tomatoes with a few beans in it and beef that look like was run through a blender. I was lucky if there was an ounce of beef in the chili. It looked nothing like its pic on the wall. See my pic. The toppings they provide did not come with the advertised cilantro. The other advertised condiments were only half filled in their cups and they were not enough I mean seriously I got about two thumbnails worth of cheese. And it was expensive enough to warrant a normal bowl of chili. On the positive side, my half sandwich of avocado and turkey was good. And before anyone says that should've talked to the management that wouldn't have been possible. I don't think there were any more than three people working here on a busy Saturday in December and there was always a long line. I wasn't going to get back in line and wait 15 minutes for something that should have been done right.

There was a lot of meat/mushroom per respective sandwich. Again, I found the seasoning lacking. The lettuce was more like some type of slaw. I didn't mind it but was confused for a minute because I wasn't expecting that. My husband didn't care too much for the slaw. I wish that it would have been clearer that it wasn't just lettuce. We have enjoyed pizzas from AP since they opened - their pizzas are routinely good. Today, our order included a gyro (for me) and a stromboli. Both were disappointing. My gyro had adequate meat, although it wasn't the traditional lamb and lacked flavor. Equally disappointing was the tzatziki sauce. In my view, this should be piquant and bright; this was just... meh. Overall, bland and would never order again. The stromboli seemed OK but it wasn't what was ordered - completely wrong filling. Reiterating: their pizza is quite good, but it seems they should stick to that and not try to do everything.
