The cost of two large sandwiches with all fixings was over $40.00! Our beef is that one (Italian) was not very tasty. The bread was soggy too. Gave three stars because other sandwich was a spicy chicken . It was very good. Sad because Italian was even less tasty the second day. At least a dozen people who arrived after me and placed an order at the counter got their sandwich before I did. At 10 til 1:00 I had to get back to work so I would need a refund. Sometimes they make a damn fine sandwich and then sometimes they're so disorganized I'm convinced that eating a gas station sandwich could have been a better option. allow me to elaborate on the situation that led to this review. During our most recent visit I placed my order that then had to be Re-explain Multiple times for it to be taken properly, no big deal there considering it was lunch time the establishment was busy and loud. but then things took a deep dive as no less than three more people handled my sandwich from beginning to end which doesn't sound like a big deal but when you're explaining toppings to a person and then they all of a sudden stop what they're doing hand your sandwich to someone else and then you have to re-explain the toppings became frustrating. Then my wife never even got the opportunity to have toppings put on her sandwich it went straight from Meats to the bag. when the guy who handed my wife the bag was told that my wife never had the opportunity to get toppings on her sandwich he got a confused look on his face so we said never mind took the bag and left, fortunately, the sandwiches still tasted fantastic which took a little bit of the bitter out of our attitude which led to a 3-star review supposed to a 2-star review. all in all we will still eat at Jersey Mike's but hopefully, our next experience will be a better one. Also, I would still recommend giving Jersey Mike's a try if you haven't but maybe not the New Braunfels location as that's where this incident happened and similar things have happened in the past at the same location. *During COVID* The first time I tried jersey Mike's was in North Carolina at a friends party. As soon as I took a couple bites of the sub I had to ask where he got these from. The next day I took my whole family to try it out! It is absolutely amazing. First in for most, they cut your meat and cheese right in front of you as you order! You know it is fresh and you definitely taste the difference. I get mine done Mike's way, which is tomato, lettuce, onion, oregano and some sort of oil/vinegar sauce, I never would've done this but that is not my friend order it and it is fantastic! They also cook their bread fresh right there in the store so that is also amazingly fresh as well. This is a huge step above Subway and taste way better! If you're tired of nasty old subs I advise you and encourage you to give this a shot! To me, the only negative is that is expensive for a sub, expect to be around $12 if you order the regular size sandwich, chips and a drink... But it is absolutely worth it!! read more

I got the classic #13 italian. Meat and cheese sliced soooo thin you could see it. The mayo spread was thinker than the meats. I honest couldn't tell in any given bite if there was anything aside from the toppings and bread. Yet the prices have gone up. Went in there round 11am, not too busy at the time. Ordered a #3 (ham and cheese) and a Giant #99. The ham and cheese came out pretty quickly but it took way too long for the #99. No updates from employees, or status of order. They became quite busy by the time I was getting frustrated which was 1144am by then. I finally asked one a the girls what the hold up was and she eventually handed me my sandwich at 1156 am. It took them 1 hr. to make a sandwich. Food was great but service was slow. Employees respectful. I will be back to Jersey Mike's but just won't come to this location. I love eating Jersey mikes! Since we've moved to new braunfels this one is the nearest one around. It was a great clean place before covid but after it seems like it's not as sanitary. There's always flies flying around, the workers almost never change their gloves and none are wearing their masks. It's only sanitary to wear masks while preparing for food, especially if you have a lot of facial hair. I rate this a 3 stars, they could do better read more
