Jersey Mikes is as close to a jersey sub that you can get living in Michigan. When visiting the Holland location I felt like the facility could've been a little cleaner than it was. Of course, no dine in because of Covid, but could've been scrubbed up a bit inside. The staff was friendly enough. They were just pretty reserved or quiet I guess you could say. As for my sandwich, it was delicious. I got an Italian Mikes Way and it was great. I also ordered a turkey and provolone Mikes way and it was great as well. Both subs were giant and neither came with napkins. I had to go back inside to get napkins. How can you eat a 15" sub and not use at least 1 napkin. So many easy fixes that would make this place a much better restaurant.1) Flow of ordering and payment. 2) Clean a little. Everything was dirty. Pretty sure the counters, registers, card machines, cords have NEVER been wiped down. (Doesn't make a good first impression.) Every single tables and chairs needed wiped. Floors are gross. Okay so the food itself was good... but it took a lot of trouble to get there. A few of the workers just seemed lost at their own establishment and made ordering simple things a tad more difficult. Great customer service at this location. Megan, is a sweetheart. I ordered on the app and didn't pay attention to the location, when I realized I had the wrong I called and spoke to her, she was friendly, professional and took care of canceling the order without missing a beat. My hubby and I have a home in Saugatuck and order here at least once a week, sometimes two. It is worth the drive. Usually enjoy this place, 13-20 bucks depending on what size sub you want. Went there on my last lunch break, 3 employees. No one could ask me for my order while a woman was having fun making subs slower than humanely possible with a gpa and his 2 grandsons. So I missed out on lunch cuz I only get 30 minutes, and this lady literally spent 10-15 minutes with these guys. No one asked me what I wanted. Placed an online order for pick up, arrived on time to the location and waited in line for the pick up order...was never greeted, acknowledged or asked what my order was. Understandably, it was the lunch rush, but to be stared at for 10 minutes by several employees is horrible customer service. Some of the friendliest, efficient service I've ever had! Never had jersey mikes and was thrilled to see they offered gluten free bread, the guys even asked if it was allergy or sensitivity and made sure to switch their gloves. It's a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. Great servings and homemade ingredients I will always be happy to spend the extra dollar on. Super great energy and informative staff. The sandwich was good. It usually is. However, the service was an issue. I ordered online on the app. I arrived at my scheduled time and was told to wait. My sandwich was not done. I noticed one bag sitting there, but the worker assured me it was not mine. 20 minutes later I go up and inquire again. The worker reaches for the bag that had been sitting there the whole time. Usually have great service at this busy Jersey Mikes, but tonight (2/25/23) was terrible. They were very busy. I waited patiently while one person took the order of the person in front of me, (three sandwiches) sliced the bread, meat and cheese, added all the toppings, wrapped it up and rang it up herself. But when I told her the sandwich I wanted, grilled, she said the grill was too busy and she could not grill at this time. So I asked for the sandwich cold. After she sliced the bread, cheese & meats, SHE LAID IT ASIDE AND TOOK THE ORDER OF THE MAN BEHIND ME AND SLICED THE BREAD, MEAT AND CHEESE FOR ALL THREE OF HIS SANDWICHES. I had already been there about 12-15 minutes. Waiting on the person in front of me is normal, but WHY should I have to wait on the man behind me???? Sorry Jersey Mike but my first time experience was not good. I ordered a Chicken Wrap. I waited and waited and waited about 15 minutes and people that came in after me got their sandwiches but not me. Okay they were busy but I think they had forgotten me. So I took the wrap to-go and when I got back to work with the sandwich and took it out of the paper, it totally came unwrapped. I proceeded to put it together as best I could but it was a mess - the chicken fell out and the lettuce got all over my table. Disappointed is my review. Plus this wrap was $8.50 +tax. Exceptional customer service! I called in an order for 9 people recently and asked to have each sub labeled with the person's name. We had someone pick up the order but they didn't check it. When the driver got here we found that there was one sub missing. Stuff happens, so I called and spoke to the same person who took the order, Marissa.
