Sandwiches are pretty good, but I'm not sure if it's worth it for the price. They range from $10-$11 for a regular size but with tax, it really comes out to $13 per sandwich. With so many Italian delis in Hoboken, you can definitely get one of similar quality or better, for a few bucks less. You'd think a sandwich chain could afford lower pricing, but I guess not! I ordered the #56 Big Kahuna Cheesesteak (grilled onions, peppers, mushrooms, jalapeños & extra white American cheese). I asked if they could add chipotle sauce to it and they said sure, but didn't. Overall, it was a good cheesesteak but I also hardly meet a cheesesteak I don't like. I would prefer Midtown Philly over this though. My husband had the #13 The Original Italian (provolone, ham, prosciuttini, cappacuolo, salami, and pepperoni). To my surprise, they did not skimp on the meat. Every time I do an online order I end up waiting 20-30 minutes once I get to the store because it's never ready and it's impossible to even get the staffs attention. They made my order completely wrong so I had to wait another 10 minutes for them to remake it on top of already waiting 20 minutes for an online order. Jersey Mike's gets zero stars due to the number of rats eating their garbage every night. They place their garbage in open and overflowing containers providing an all you can eat buffet. Bags that don't fit are thrown on the sidewalk in front of the store. Rats in an urban environment may be unavoidable, but feeding the rats by not securing the garbage reflects poorly on the owners. Seeing the rats swarming their garbage all night reduces the ambiance of this store to zero! read more

Horrible service. The employees yell at customers that are waiting on their pick up orders because they're "busy". The pick up times are insanely inaccurate. I waited for 20 minutes then when home and decided to come back later. They have no problem neglecting pick up orders even when they have multiple customers waiting. Not a great experience. Employees had a sarcastic attitude. Despite non peak hours, I felt very rushed during my order. The staff also lacked knowledge regarding basic allergies. One of them was annoyed because they had to change their gloves and went on to tell me about how sweaty her hands were and her entire body from working all day. I really like this place a lot! We eat here often. The subs are reasonably priced, ingredients are fresh, and portions are big. I can really only speak to the BLT as it's my go to here. Again, very fresh ingredients. The bacon is very crisp and I usually get double meat. Not because they don't put enough on mind you. I get double meat because...well duh: Bacon. I really contemplated on whether or not I should write this because I've had good experiences in the past few orders I've placed at this location. However, today was the most disappointing experience I've had. I ordered a veggie sub and it seems that the location was very busy today because the order took forever to get delivered (well over an hour). The fact that our order was delayed is not why I'm writing this because it happens and that's okay (being it hasn't been a repetitive issue here). What's not okay is when your sub sandwich is super hard to bite into because the bread is so tough and hard and that the components (or lack there) of the sandwich are barely in the sandwich itself but rather almost half off the sandwich. Basically, I ordered a veggie sub and half the cheese was outside of the sandwich and the veggies were skimped out on. The bread was so hard and difficult to even bite into. I've ordered here twice before and it's been great, so I had decent expectations. It seems that because they were so busy, they just threw things into the sandwich and called it a day. Your business may be extremely busy but that does not mean your staff should just throw things together to barely make a sandwich . Please do better. read more

I was craving a really good dirty jerzey sub, I wanted regular sub bread, not hard a$s fancy bread. Jersey Mike's pops up and I see the photos and say HELL YES, I want all these subs. I settled on the Stickball Sub. Ham, Salami, Provolone. This was the best freshest sub I had in a while. Everything was on point. The reason for 4 stars is the way it came. It looked like someone rode over it with a scooter a few times. I legit laughed looking at it the entire time I ate it. I second Jim C's review. Jersey Mike's has about four appropriate garbage pails but they are not sufficient so the excess garbage is piled on top and on the ground in plastic bags. They unfortunately gave us the wrong chips. We ordered salt and vinegar but they gave us plain lays. All good since they make a damn good sandwich. My wife went with the roast beef and provolone with lettuce,tomato,mayo, and sweet peppers. My mouth is watering just typing this out. I would take this over most deli's in town. The sandwiches that my husband and I had several times from this Jersey Mike's location was delicious and on point. VERY fresh. Normally I would be quick to complain and point out all of this issues, but the sandwich really did taste that good. You can see the employees carve the meat slices right in front of your face and the overall eating experience once it gets in your mouth is comforting. If I lived near this location or any Jersey Mikes period I would definitely go at least twice a month. A star was deducted for the pricing. 4 stars for one of the few chains I'm glad to see open in my town. I like what Jersey Mike's offers. First off, the sandwiches come in three sizes, and sometimes that mini sandwich is plenty for my appetite. Other times, the mid-sized is the way to go. Expect your order to be 'sliced' and created right in front of you. Also expect quality brands and freshness. My advice, stick with classic subs. There are plenty of exotic and gourmet offerings in town, so I go to Jersey Mike's and order that sub I grew up with: ham, salami, provolone, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, oil, vinegar, oregano, salt and pepper. They are a bit heavy handed on the dressing so I ask for a half portion. Although the bread won't put any local bakeries out of business, the soft loaves work well for subs. The 5 stars are largely due to the rockstar staff at Jersey Mike's. I stopped in today for the first time around 12:30pm, and the line was out the door (a great sign). There were probably 8-10 people working, all of whom were super nice, personable, and professional. It was hectic in there, but the staff ran service like a well oiled machine. Multiple orders were being taken at once, and every sandwich was being made accurately all the way down the line. Considering that the place is new-ish and they were able to kill it like they did, they earned every single one of the 5 stars. Hoboken is known for it's great Italian mom-and-pop delis. Residents love them, and one key issue is that many of them close early, often around 4pm to 5pm. Yes, a few are open later, and i'm very happy to see a Jersey Mike's open. See, to most people they think "Oh God, another CHAIN STORE opened". But to those of us who know Jersey Mike's we welcome them with open arms. This isn't Subway, Quiznos or Jimmy John's. They are all trash. No, this is Jersey Mike's. Well known outside of Hoboken, but likely a lot of Hobokenites don't know them. Expect to be pleasantly surprised. They make their own bread, fresh on site. They also make their own roast beef. Will it contend with Fiore's Roast Beef? NO. I have had both and Fiore's is very superior. But you can only get Fiore's on Thursday & Saturday. Where Jersey Mike's win is in convenience. As of writing this it is open until 9pm. Like many people who live in town, it is nice to have another option for a good sandwich to have downtown after Blimpie's closed their doors on 1st and Washington last year. On top of that for those from Philly (like me) they make a very good cheesesteak sandwich. Will it contend with Jim's on South Street - NO. But it is a good fix when you are hankering for a cheesesteak outside of the Philly-metro area. My top three go-to's are the cheesesteak (with onions, peppers, and provolone), the turkey & provolone sub and original Italian. Welcome Jersey Mikes! I added extra tuna knowing they may make a thin sandwich well it seems they didn't pay attention to any of my instructions including to leave off tomato. The gluten free bread tasted like a stale heavy loaf. The tuna was full of mayo and lightly spread despite my extra meat request. Additionally there was no Mikes dressing on the sub it was gross and a waste of money. Stay away! read more

I have given this location numerous tries to be halfway decent and it fails everytime. No matter when I go, I am waiting 15 minutes or so for 1 sandwich. If I walk in, I am either standing around waiting for someone to take my order, or my order is taken and then the sandwich is never made. I've even tried using the mobile order ahead, and I didn't get my correct order. They always seem to be overwhelmed with orders and have issues prioritizing. Food tastes fine and the employees seem to be working hard, but I can't keep coming back here. I've made complaints to corporate as well, but nothing has changed. read more
