On our last trip to gristhouse's beer crib we got…read morethe tomato mozzarella flatbread and it was divine with huge creamy chunks of cheese and fresh tomatoes. It was also a very large portion for the price. A while back I had gotten a burger and I recall it being one of the best burgers I've ever had. Everything that comes out of the kitchen looks great. Looking forward to the next time my husband and I can get out to the beer crib and try more of their food.

Today I ordered their spatula, which was the turkey Rachel and french fries. It is a farm to fork restaurant so everything is usually fresh and tasty. The bread on my sandwich was toasted perfectly, and the french fries were hot and crisp. They have napkins, plastic utensils, to go boxes, and a water station located on the wall between the two establishments. You can sit at a table to eat either a low top or a high top or sit at the bar. In summer, there is a nice patio outside. Great lunch stop even if you aren't partaking of the fine beer at Grist House. And if you need more grocery type farm to fork foods... You just walk up the hill to Freedom Farms market, and there you can get everything you need from fresh vegetables and fruit to pies and cookies and cake cakes, soups, meats, chocolates.

Lots of meat on a fresh roll. We tried the tuna our next time around and bang! It was one of the best tuna subs I have eaten. The owners are two friendly guys that take their product to Helltown to get the word out. I would like to go to their actual place next time I am in the Woodland Hills area.

We ordered the sandwich without dressing, in the future I'd get mayo or oil and vinegar. Good sandwich even dry. The slugger is meatball with crumbled hot sausage and banana peppers. Great sandwich! Spicy, flavorful, hot, with a shot of flavor every time there's a banana pepper bite. The star of the meal tho was the potato salad. I think I tasted pickle juice and mustard in the wet part of the salad, and they also added bacon. I kept picking at the potato salad even though I was stuffed, it's so good! I'm glad this place opened close, I'll be back for sure, and will def try out different sandwiches next time too. Oh yeah, Mancini's buns! Yum! But be careful, the soporific effect of these buns is not to be underestimated.

Ginny's came highly recommended by people whose opinion we trust, as well. I was out with family & invited everyone back to our house for pizza. Ginny's came to mind so I called. I was a short distance away, and when I got to Ginny's, everything was ready to go. It was priced appropriately & the pizza was great! I'm looking forward to going back to try some other things.

It had multiple cheeses on it, including ricotta. Very tasty! My mom had the salmon salad with some type of ginger dressing. I tried a bit of it. Salmon was tender and the dressing paired well with it. The bread sticks are also very good. I noticed that people at a table near us ordered a giant pretzel appetizer. I would like to try it some time. Also, the manager and chef both asked us how everything was, which I thought was nice. My only complaint is that it was really loud inside. We were in the main dining area (there's a lounge as well) which has nothing to suppress the noise. It's concrete flooring with metal chairs. Not a good mix. It didn't help that we were seated by the area where they prepare your drinks and clang dishes around. Next time I would like to go on a nice day so I can sit in their outside space. It is next to a trail so it would be a good spot to take a break at if you're walking or biking. Overall, the service and food were great, but the ambiance could be better.

couldn't miss "Pittsburgh's most famous sandwich" while in town…read more They have a bunch of locations so it's pretty easily accessible. We walked about 10 min and change from our hotel to the strip district location. It is a small little place made up for by its attention grabbing wall art of famous and loved Pittsburgh figures. The menu is easy enough. Pick a protein (there are many options) to go on the sandwich which is the standard cole slaw, cheese, tomato, and fries tucked between two slices of thick, soft white bread. As a vegetarian, I was pleased to see a vegetarian option with both a cheese and an egg and cheese version. GF and I shared and it is not a bad sandwich to share bc the thing is massive. That isn't to say that I couldn't have eaten another half bc I absolutely could have. The thing is so large and busting with ingredients I wondered how I could fit it for a bite but where there's a will, there's a way. It was excellent. What a great combo of flavors and textures. I only wish there was more cheese. I do feel like with the cheese version there should be more than what is in the version with meat but call me crazy. I could eat that every day.

Medium loudness, mainly from people's conversations. Went to bar area, little to right of entering and ordered. Asked for their special and the asked for the type of meat. Didn't know so they suggested I try pastrami and the capicola. Ordered and waited maybe 10-15min and they gave us our order in a big paper bag. It was heavy! Opened up one of the sandwiches to share and nicely the sandwich was cut in half already. Just need to tear the paper wrapper to separate. As you may know, sandwich has Cole slaw and fries on it, so it's thick. Preferred the capicola over the pastrami. Decent amount of meat on the sandwich but waaaayyy more fries than anything. The close slaw adds some crunch and tartness to a pretty mild sandwich. Overall, food was underwhelming. I'd stop by again but for some kielbasa or something ethnic. Otherwise I'd probably just try another nearby place to eat.
