This restaurant does get some live bands though probably would go somewhere else for pizza otherwise. The pizza is ok but there is definitely better in the area. It took us 90 minutes to get one pizza in house. They had bartenders trying to wait tables and my experience with that both as a customer and previous server is that these tables are left waiting way too long. Service was very intermittent and we would end up going to the bar the get drinks anyway. Venue is pretty loud with the band playing in such a small space, limited standing room if seats fill. Purchased 2 slices from Jerry's food truck at Lyman Orchards today! Great food! Had pepperoni but they had options such as pesto, buffalo chicken, pepperoni and cheese. There is a private parking lot on the side of the building that Jerry's shares with a couple of other businesses. It's an elongated sort of restaurant with a drop ceiling, many TVs a slightly raised "stage", a pool table toward the back and a big bar rail on the right side. Like I mentioned, it's a dive, so it's loud in here. Service: I can't remember all of the servers names who took care of us, but I've never actually had an issue here. Things are fine, nothing like a fine dining restaurant, but it's all good. Food: I'm here for the wings! Throughout my numerous visits I've had their Bacon Ranch, Sweet 'N' Hot, Marinara Parmesan, Cinnamon Chipotle and Honey BBQ flavors. They're all very good, a decent size and full of flavor. When Jerry's does things well, they're great. When they don't...you wish you went somewhere else instead. Consistency is a problem here. I've had one of the best pizzas of my life here, and many pizzas that I've had to go home and finish cooking or otherwise doctor up. When they make my chicken cutlet grinders as I order them, they're spectacular, but sometimes they're missing toppings and they never ever ever give extra pickles like I ask them to. At least when you dine in, you can ask them to fix it. They have live music at the bar a lot, it used to be called Matty's Next Door Sports Bar, but then Matty got ousted post divorce so now it's all just under the Jerry's umbrella (it was always connected inside). When my large order was cancelled at 7PM the night before the celebration of life for my mother by another place, Jerry's stepped up and saved the day! They had 20 large pizzas ready by 11:30 on Saturday and each one perfectly cooked and delicious. I am beyond grateful and recommend them highly. read more

I was placing an order for a chicken bacon ranch grinder. The Grumpy older blonde bar tender told me she knew what kind of grinder that I wanted. I got a burnt dry chicken cutlet grinder with overdone fries. Hungry so I ate the fries and half of the burnt dried out chicken cutlet. Worst ever. Bar tender stared through me when I said that I didn't want to take the second half of the grinder home. I was charged for a full grinder full price with no apology or concern. Food at Jerry's is not good most of the time. The beer is never Cold! People are putting ice cubes in their beer glasses. Keno machine gets shut off quarterly by the State of CT for non payments. I have been here several times for take out. Chicken wings, they are good wings. My favorite sauce is the Molasses Bourbon and the Old Bay dry rub. The wings are a nice size cooked perfectly. The blue cheese they serve with it is to die for! A lot of blue cheese and garlic in a creamy base. Only bad part about the wings are they are a little pricey, but to me, they are worth it. Grinders-My husband had the tuna, good solid tuna base. I wish they had more toppings like cherry peppers or banana peppers, but that is just me. If you do t want it toasted you have to let them know this. I think all off them come toasted, unless you specifically say don't toast. Desserts- I like their cookies. The peanut butter cup is my favorite. It's nice and large, my husband and I can split it and I am good with that and feel satisfied. The staff is always nice, busy and efficient. Soooooo...the food is ok. The service is ok. It's not the closest place to me, so why do I keep going back? For the Music Bingo on Wednesday nights! They do have happy hour until 6, so if you can get there early to save a few bucks before music bingo at 7, that's even better! I've had some wings I enjoyed here, then have gone back a week or two later and they're bland or are supposed to be sauced yet come out looking like a dry rub. If it weren't for the entertainment, I wouldn't drive almost a half hour to eat here, that's what it boils down to. There are sweet potato wedges which I enjoy, though I always have to add salt and sometimes ketchup. I did order a pizza once and that was actually better than I expected it to be. It was the Blizzard Pizza with spinach and ricotta. But, when there are happy hour wings I generally stick to those, but they're just not consistent. I think they need more staff on nights they have entertainment, but maybe they just can't find anyone right now. If the food was great and the service was slow, I'd give that a pass right now as places are getting back into the swing of things post-pandemic. There is a pool table and touch-tunes available as well. And, I'm not sure what came out of the soap dispenser last Wednesday night in the ladies room. It was foam yet barely sudsed up, and smelled like rubbing alcohol. Did someone mistakenly put hand sanitizer in there that day? That would be my guess. Jerry's pizza is delicious! The crust is the perfect spot between thin and Sicilian. I like that you can get it by the slice at the resultant. Baked goods are also great! We were celebrating some sweet kiddos birthdays at the trampoline park in the same plaza (also highly recommend..so fun!) and we came to Jerry's following our jumping for some pizza! They were super friendly and accommodating, the pizza was great (even my picky eater toddler enjoyed it!) and they let my friend bring in cupcakes for dessert and let the kids open their birthday presents there. I should have looked at Yelp first. Sort the reviews by newest first and you'll see what I mean. My review is not about the food, because we didn't get any (more on that later). This review is about a restaurant that really needs to take a hard look at how they treat their customers. They should also consider canceling all forms of delivery. As the manager stated, she wished that they didn't offer delivery. Maybe they get enough foot traffic. Maybe if you go into the restaurant, they treat you better face to face. Both sides of my family have been ordering from Jerry's for decades. Never has anyone been treated the way that my husband was treated this past Friday. Jerry's isn't the cheapest in the area, but we decided to splurge ($65 - large pizza, small pizza, salad & 8 pc wings). We ordered via Slice. After placing the order, the app informed us that the order would be delivered in an hour and a half. It wasn't. We waited a few minutes and then called to check on the order. The woman that answered said that the guy left with our order a while ago and that it should be delivered any minute. After another 20 minutes and no pizza, we called again. This time the woman told us that the guy had just left 5 minutes ago and he was on his way. Fast forward 15 minutes and still no delivery. In this 15 minutes our son broke down in tears, because he was so hungry. I immediately got up and started to piece together some leftovers. At this point (over 2 hours later and past our son's bedtime) we had, had it. My husband called back to cancel the order. The woman told him that she was giving him a discount. He refused and asked for a refund twice. Without a word, she hung up on my husband. My family and I told my husband to call back and speak with the owner. When he called the next day, he spoke with the manager. We weren't looking for any compensation, just to voice our concern. Obviously, the staff is lacking customer service training. read more

Oh my gosh I love this place so so so much! The ladies that work in there are nice and they have great service too. I've only tried the cheese pizza but honestly I think that's all I need to try. I know the place is called "Jerry's Pizza" but listen, their wings are head and shoulders above any other wing I have had in CT. They aren't slimy. They aren't dry. Haven't had food from Jerry's in years my son picked up take out and mine was awful. I had sausage and peppers grinder. I asked for sauce on side. Well I got what I asked for but the sausage had no flavor, if it was par boiled they drained flavor out. In fact the sausage itself did not look right or taste. Oct 2019 UPDATE: went again last week... multiple wings had large feathers on them. It was gross. No flavors could make me go back. Such a shame. Only 2 stars bc our last experts great. July 2019 We ordered 66 wings from here for a party last night. Total was $64.00.....Chipotle bbq, bourbon molasses and garlic parm. They were a big hit! Bourbon was everyone's favorite. A Middletown staple for longer than most residents here been alive. The restaurant side is fantastic with a wide variety of hand-made pizzas, grinders, and other offerings. Don't know what to order? Try the chicken parmigiana grinder with peppers and cheese. Amazing! I have dreams about this sandwich when I am out of town.
