Lesson Learned: A Warning for Sellers I want to share my recent experience with Jerry's to help other sellers avoid the same frustration. I called Jerry's several times before my friend and I made the trip from Prescott Valley to Phoenix, bringing our used golf balls with us. Over the phone, I was told they pay $0.25 per ball. However, upon our arrival, the worker informed us that they had been paying too much and now only pay $0.22 per ball. He also mentioned they pay up to $0.40 per ball for those in perfect condition. We left our five giant tubs containing 3,347 balls with them and returned an hour later. They gave us a check for $306.41, having paid $0.13 each for 1,917 balls and $0.04 each for 1,430 balls. At no point did they mention these significantly lower prices before we left the balls with them. We would never have agreed to those prices if we had known. In hindsight, we should have gotten their offer in writing. We learned a valuable lesson that day, and I'm sharing this to warn other sellers: Don't fall victim to Jerry's buying practices. Always ask for buying prices in writing and never leave your items unattended. read more

Been here quite a few times and I believe ownership changed about a year ago. Quality of the balls was poor. Bought some chrome soft category A which are supposedly the best. Most had visable nicks, discoloratio, etc. at $2 a ball I expect better. Looked at a used driver cover for a Stealth. Used at 18.99 which is crazy. On Amazon they are brand new shipped for $18.50. Ball hunters and ball sellers. This place has changed ownership and are going to try to get rich off of us who have supported jerry's for years. Went in today with 2,000 balls to sell as usual and they offered 33% less than a month ago and my son went in to buy some pro-v 1's and they went from 2.25 to 3 $ per ball. If you buy at the right time at a course when titleist is running specials you can get brand new personalized balls for that. Buyer beware. Look around, there are much better deals. read more

Greatest customer service I've received in a long time! I never write reviews, but they deserve some recognition after my experience. I went in today, an hour before they closed wanting to regrip my husbands golf clubs for Christmas. Now I know nothing about golf, but they were beyond helpful with their recommendations. I told them I stole my husbands clubs out of the garage while he was napping. I was assuming I wouldn't get the clubs back for at least a couple days but instead they blew me away by getting 15 clubs regripped in less than an hour so that I could get them back before he noticed they were gone! Today I received an my order for some used 5A golf balls and their website stated 24 golf balls for $15, so I ordered a quantity of 5. Which means I should received a total of 120 golf balls. (This is the second time I have ordered from Jerry's and the first time I received what was advertised on their website, 120 golf balls). This time I only received 60. So I contacted the store and informed them of the discrepancy and was told they would look into it and call me back. When the employee called back, she informed me that the website was not correct and that I received the correct amount of golf balls. When I informed her that this is my second order for the same amount, she began to tell me that they don't sell any of their golf balls for $7.50 per dozen and I received the correct amount. When I told her that this is the second time I've made this purchase, and the first time I received exactly what their website stated I would receive, she told me I technically received 60 free golf balls the first time. I told her no ma'am, I received just what your website said I would receive. At this point she started to get confrontational and told me that common sense should tell me that they would not sell their golf balls at that price. No ma'am, common sense tells me that you should honor the price on your website and not bait and switch your customers. At this point the line went dead. YEP, SHE HUNG UP ON ME! As I was typing this review, the lady I spoke with earlier, (Robin), calls again and tell me that the owner said that if I return them, it's going to be at my cost. So I told her that I would just stop by the store tomorrow and return them, she said that I cannot come to store, as the store will be closed tomorrow and Friday because they have sold the store to someone else. But send the golf balls back to the address on the website to her attention and she will get it and process my refund. So I guess I'm stuck with what I have. Because why in the hell would I send back a product I feel you preformed a bait and switch on, to a store that no longer belongs to you and now you have my money and the golf balls I purchased? Even though Ms. Robin kept admitting that they made the mistake, they would not be honoring their posted price! LESSON LEARNED!! read more

I have shopped here for over 15 years before it was sold to a new owner. I will no longer be shopping there. I buy ProV1s and now the brand A balls and others are hard to tell apart. It appears that little sorting is done or people are not being trained. It's often difficult to find good balls without much sorting even if buying grade A. I mentioned this to the woman at the desk and asked to have that info passed on to the owner. She became indignant and verbally abusive. Not good. read more

So I feel like somebody should go the extra mile. It's sad that even family owned businesses nowadays don't care about their customers, all they want to do is make an extra ten or fifteen dollars. If you go in, ask for JIM. He is a very fair man, and is not interested about taking an extra five or ten dollars from you. He's more worried about your return business. couple weeks ago got the whole jerrys experience, sold some golf balls to them that had accumulated over the years, great experience guys that helped were professional, answer all my dumb questions efficient , got a good price for the balls and clubs i brought in, was in and out in prob 15 - 20 min. then took went into the shop to purchase my favorite golf balls at a terrific price (great selection) , lady that worked front of store was nice helpful and the experience was great, highly recommend jerrys read more

I needed a new shaft for a fairway wood, Jerry replaced it for $40 and it even had a top grip on it and was another manufacturer's shaft that I probably would've paid 3x that at another valley golf shop. I can't find a better place to purchase and service golf equipment. I go back to Jerry's Golf Balls always before looking at area competitors as I know I won't find better services or prices... period. read more

I purchased a golf ball retriever through Amazon. The third party seller is Jerry's Golf Balls in Phoenix. I paid $43 for the retriever. I received the package and the retriever was not the one I ordered. It was close to the original until I saw the price tag of $24. I contacted Jerry's Golf through Email and I was told the difference in price was shipping and fees. I belong to Amazon Prime and there are no shipping costs. After wrangling with them I was told to take a photo and I did. After a short time they said sent it back. When I sent it back it was in perfect shape.But it did have a spec of grass on it from where I took the photo. They said it was used and I said I was going to protest and they gave me a refund of one half of the $43. This all could have been avoided if they sent the right piece in the first place. The original price tag was $24 and that is what they refunded me. They profited $24 for selling nothing. Last time doing business with Jerry. I will tell anyone who will listen. Don't take a chance.
