Roasted Beets salad SO GOOD!
Laura I.

Not sure why all of the negative reviews. We went here expecting mediocre and food it ended up actually being very good! The place has an Oldschool vibe playing music from the 50's. Our waiter was very attentive, personable, and helpful with answering questions. We had the House Sangria, Caesar Salad, Beet Salad, and split the Eggplant Parm. The house Sangria was served in a huge glass and was some of the best I've had. The salads were both good but beet salad shined! I enjoyed the creaminess of the ricotta with the beets and crunch of the walnuts. The eggplant parm came with spaghetti and both were very tasty! Would recommend this spot and make a reservation just in case!

I have been here many times and It's always been a pleasant experience with the staff and the food. I like how they have different areas to sit and it definitely gives you the Italian restaurant vibe. I appreciate this restaurant and will continue going back.

Calamari with tentacles and a great shrimp and chicken Penni

Dry good food and the service was great the ambiance of the restaurant was very comfortable but remember your wallet very expensive

Calamari - was just okay
Bella J.

Located inside the Dover Downs casino, it is the best one that is currently open. Still I would say 3 out of 5 place. 1. Service - great. Bartender was nice, no nonsense. I liked her. 2. Food/drinks - edible, nothing special. Calamari - fine. that's it. Drinks - they do make mixed drinks. Not that good. It is not a fine mixed drink, let's just say that. 3. Music - however, I LOVED it. They have this old school 40s to 50s movies playing on TVs and they said they have pandora channel, but the music was delightful. I usually don't notice music background in places, but this was notable and I thoroughly enjoyed it despite it not being live music.

Penne vodka with added chicken Linguine with clams
Kevin B.

The seats we got put in were great, two of us for one big booth. (I think it has a little to do with it being less crowded and the fact that I reserved an hour and half ahead of time). They had classical music playing for a little while then a mix of country; and different movies on around different tvs... was a good vibe Some martinis intrigued me but I'm personally not much of that guy, however my girl friend loved her life is beautiful one! Good name too The chicken (or shrimp) I feel is necessary with the penne vodka. Little bland and basic The linguine with clams my girlfriend got was also tasty , nice subtle flavors of all the ingredients. Our waitress was nice but for us being one out of only two tables, she was quite slow

Antipasto Board

Absolutely AMAZING!! The flavors were wonderful and Vincenzo was wonderful! It was the perfect place to celebrate my son's 19th birthday! The antipasto board is to die for! The espresso martini was made with fresh espresso! The meatballs and ricotta cheese are so flavorful!

Great Italian Wine Selection
Amy K.

We recently made reservations for our first visit. We had an amazing dinner and the service/staff was outstanding. They made it such a special evening for us both. We were celebrating Valentines and Birthday wrapped in one. I wanted to try everything on the menu. We had several appetizers and the Antipasta. All were perfect. The wine selection was awesome with most of the wines from Italy. We cannot wait to go back again.

They have nice food and bomb drink menu. And they're open until about 1a some nights if you're out in the casino late.

The only problem is that…read morethe ceiling is not constructed to dampen a lot of folks chatting all at once and it was noisy and very hard to hear conversation. But the food was really good. I arrived a bit late so missed the bruschetta appetizer (looked good) and had the salad, lasagna and a sample of the chicken marsala. The salad was the usual bagged leaves (I don't like them, no flavor) but that's what is standard in the US, so no fighting that. The chicken was also rather bland but the LASAGNA was fantastic. I'm quite critical of lasagna, even though I feel about lasagna the way Garfield the Cat feels about lasagna. Sometimes it's only a mess of ricotta and tomato sauce and not much flavor, but this lasagna had small meatballs of sausage and a good tomato sauce and not too much cheese, as in not overly capped by a layer of hard-to-digest mozzarella. The desserts looked as if they're brought in, but they were very good, standard stuff, cheesecake, carrot cake, and a chocolate cake that disappeared like mist on a summer meadow. But I only wish I had skipped dessert and loaded up on more lasagna, it was really delicious. If I eat there with friends instead of a party time, I'm pretty sure I'd be ordering that lasagna.

Just went for drinks. Always wanted to go here. Cute place, it's a bit dark but that's ok for a…read morelounge. Staff was very attentive and checked on us often.

Wow! just WOW!!! We are traveling from Oregon and today we googled this sweet little place and the…read moreback history so we decided to stop and give it a try. The service right away was outstanding. We even got to meet the owner. The ambience was over the top. The tables are to die for the lighting the music and the colors were fantastic, including the back mural and the fountain. as for the food, it started out with these freshly warm rolls and garlic olive oil, dipping sauce that were to die for. We loved it so much that we asked for some to go. My husband chose the panzerotti and I got the ravioli trio both outstanding his meal was ginormous and mine was perfect size with two of the raviolis made of cheese topped with pesto two topped with Alfredo and two topped with marinara sauce, delightfully displayed in the Italian flag colors. To top it all off my husband is first generation Italian both his parents were born in Naples, Italy and were fantastic cooks and he gives the food two thumbs up. We wish we lived closer by so we could eat here again, but I would highly recommend this to anybody who is in the proximity of this establishment. Good Job Piazza MIA!!

Upon entry the dining room was clean, bright and welcoming, huge plus! The male server did a great job and was very attentive to our needs. We tried the TRIO, spaghetti w/meatballs (husband's favorite anywhere) and were impressed with the freshness and flavors of our entrees, as well as the appetizers -calamari and crab- stuffed mushrooms- and fresh rolls they served with our salads. EVERYTHING was delicious and well-prepared! Overall we were very happy with the pleasant dining experience and knew we found our new go-to Italian place... Upon my second return with my daughter, being excited to share this place with her, there were inconsistencies from my first experience relating to service. The female server fell short of expectations and showed very little interest with our satisfaction and dining experience. However, before leaving the restaurant we were unexpectedly approached by the owner and after learning of our disappointment, was very apologetic and went above and beyond to accommodate us and made everything right. I was so pleased and impressed with his genuineness to leave us satisfied, as it has become less common from many establishments where customer satisfaction with service is not the focus. This place receives my highest recommendation and will continue to be our favored go-to Italian restaurant!!

Sometimes take them home too. There is pizza by the slice. Really big slice and very tasty. They offer tacos and burritos as well. Never had them but rest of the stuff is tasty. Ambiance is casual. They offer delivery and are usually very busy with their orders. They have a small dine-in seating area where you can see them cool food or you can sit in adjacent seating area. That's big space. Today I ordered chicken fajita calzone. The size was huge and big enough for one person. Came loaded with meat and cheese with a side of marinara sauce. This place never disappoints me. They were typically nice when I walked in and when they handed me the food, but, aside from those 2 moments, seemed somewhat odd and very uninterested. What actually mattered though, was when they knowingly gave me something other than what I ordered, didn't tell me, and sent me on my way. (It shouldn't matter why, but I ordered what I did to avoid allergic reactions.) I called as soon as I got home and discovered the nasty surprise, but then to leave a voicemail since they were already closed (they're not open late). I also immediately emailed about their "mistake", and included photos. Then I headed back out to re-buy elsewhere what I should've received from Romano's. I patiently waited almost 2 weeks for a response before calling again. The owner answered and I nicely explained that there must have been a mistake and I didn't get what I ordered, and that I simply wanted a refund or store credit for the bad item that could've killed our guest with the allergic ingredients that we very specifically ordered without. The instantly rude, unprofessional, arrogant, and very unwise owner said that he makes them however he makes them, "too bad", and that he's not refunding anything. He even tried to say that I waited too long to call (after I already told him that I called AND emailed with the photos immediately, which he very well knew, not that it would have changed anything as this was intentional and they simply do not care). His attitude and response genuinely surprised me for so many reasons. I eventually pointed out that he can choose to lose a lot of future business (which he since has, and not only ours) or simply credit the small amount in the name of good customer service, and he still refused. Penny-wise, pound-foolish. Fine. We try to patronize small businesses, but not to a degree that I'm willing to be mistreated or potentially harmed (or liable for harming someone else). The food is mediocre and expensive, and neither the people nor the horrible establishment add anything to make for a positive experience. THE GOOD PART: I'd give zero stars, but they do deserve one star for the extremely positive ultimate outcome... I found an amazing pizza and gyro place with excellent food, amazing people, and GREAT prices in the Kohl's plaza. They're open much later, too. Now THAT place has earned and deserves not only every penny of my business, but everyone I've sent there who used to go to Romano's. And they've all thanked me. My advice... spend your money with people who deserve and appreciate it!!!
