When first started his practice in Charlotte, he was with two other physicians in an office also on Randolph Road but closer to town near the Mint Museum. One of the other physicians was Dr. Jerry Barron who still practices with Dr. Holmsley and is part of same office. Sometime between the knee replacement and the hip replacement, they moved to an office off of Wendover Rd. Still affiliated with Novant, they operated under the name Barron and Holmsley. Sometime in the last year or year and half they moved to this location again on Randolph Road although this time under the Novant Name. My right knee has been showing signs of weakness for some time now and I was always able to catch myself before falling. Not this time. Friday a week ago, got up to go to the bathroom and right knee gave out and I went headfirst into the bathroom door jam. Saturday a.m., at the Novant North ER in Huntersville for X-Ray's, CT Scans and Blood Work. First time on Monday, my wife called Dr. Holmsley's office and got an appointment for Tuesday (he's in surgery on Monday). I was shocked that we could get an appointment so fast. Dr. Holmsley was running late but that happens when you try to accommodate patients like myself who interrupt the normal patient flow. Dr. Holmsley offered that what was probably happening was the cushion (he called it plastic) between the upper and lower knee assemble had worn out and it that were the case, it was simple procedure or surgically removing the old and inserting a new, He could not guarantee that this was what was going to happen without further tests. Very cautious because he says he does not like to get into surgery and have an unpleasant surprise. Already had additional blood work, bone scan tomorrow and a knee aspiration on Thursday to insure that the inflammation showing up in the blood work is not caused by a bacterial infection. As before, still impress with Dr. Homesley and all of the staff. Level of care is outstanding.

Very easy to locate facility with plenty of parking to choose from. Very handicap friendly as well…read more The receptionists, nurses and even Dr.s are all very friendly and efficient. They do in house X rays and the Dr.s review them immediately. Dr. Marcel is very knowledgeable, thorough and efficient. Wouldn't mind coming back here if I needed a follow up.

Going to Flexogenix was one of the best things I ever did for myself. I went on a ski trip to…read moreJackson in January 2016 which was wonderful except for one thing - every ski turn hurt my knees significantly, and when I got back even walking was tricky. I would land wrong sometimes and - OWWW!! I was thinking that maybe there was not much skiing in my future if at all, and the idea of walking a golf course seemed daunting indeed. Then I heard about Flexogenix. They examined my knees, did ultrasound and x-rays and diagnosed "moderate to severe" arthritis. They offered a treatment called Lipogems, where they extract stem cells from your love handles and inject them into the knees. I had both of them done, and while my knees felt like cement for a few days afterwards, 5 months later I was at Beaver Creek, and I hardly noticed them while skiing. As for my knees overall, the clock has been turned back by 15 years. If you have arthritis in your knees and you still have a little cartilage left, don't wait for knee replacement - go here first.

The therapist they have are so kind an help with any pain you may have after ice/heat or today they did the eletro pads not sure the name but I felt so much better. Still more treatment to go but they are not trying to sell you things its there if your interested. I will say from 2 years ago the young lady who was my therapy person is still there. Sometimes places shuffle folks around or they quit. If you have a joint issue or yoive had surgery n need therapy go to Orthocarolina Update : I had to have Dry Needling done , Im going to tell you don't be afraid Its different than acupuncture. Acupuncture just barely goes under the skin but dry needling finds that tight muscle an the needle goes right in to release the muscle. Yes its hurts for about a minute an I hate needles!!! RJ Myer is the only Physical Therapist I will ever let do this procedure :) He knows what he is talking about make sure you ask for him.

I have been a patient here for many many years, but have only seen this PA Allie Kelly twice now…read morefor cortisone injection to my heel. First injection 7/26 and yesterday repeat inject 10/13. She CLEARLY did not want to inject and stated that "some people just insist on it" I stated I was one of those people!! She was rude, unprofessional, and dismissive. Stated she would not agree to further injections!! I had good result from first injection, three months is about the lasting time for these and saw no reason that it should not be repeated--my choice!! It is -her prerogative not to inject again--which is fine, I can move on, but it's her attitude and treatment of patients that is horribly lacking! When I checked her notes from the visit, it explained we had "in depth" conversations about this process and future options!! Didn't happen! She rattled off with an eye roll possible side effects of injection, and that next time as she will not inject again, I would need MRI! That was the extent of conversation Have had positive experiences with Orthocarolina in the past but would never recommend or see Allie Kellie again under any circumstances

Also since I just transitioned here from NY, I have had ha hard time finding a GP that I could be satisfied with. He gave me a name of a practice to try if I want. Which I plan on trying. Only think I find with many medical practices in the Carolinas, they do not have Saturday or Sunday hours to be seen and most offices close early without any late hours, thus making it hard to see a doctor during the workday.

When he examined that area, it was extremely sensitive, but he immediately understood what was happening and knew exactly how to treat it. After the injection he performed, I walked out of the office without the limp I came in with. For the first time in a very long time, I experienced what it felt like to walk normally again. That moment meant so much to me because it reminded me what my body is capable of when the problem area is treated correctly. Tyler's knowledge, attention to detail, and genuine care for his patients truly stand out. He listened, evaluated carefully, and treated the problem with confidence and skill. Your organization is fortunate to have a provider with Tyler's insight, compassion, and clinical expertise. I am very grateful for the care he provided. -- Carla Johnson
