I love Jerri's. They are part of my weekly routine! When I moved nearby I shopped around other wash and fold places and wasn't pleased have had suits tailored, tuxedo cleaned, dry cleaned shirts, you name it. Never lost a sock either.. they are wonderful and know everyone by name I couldn't recommend enough to those nearby. read more

This dry cleaner does wonders. I bring them clothes that people tell me have IMPOSSIBLE stains to get out and Jerri's has gotten them out every single time. Next day service as well. They really care about their customers and it shows. Couldn't recommend them enough. On 10th and 6th. read more

I have been bringing my clothes here for 3 years. I've brought in everything from cashmere sweaters and men's dress shirts, to evening gowns as delicate as the Zimmerman silk/linen ruffled gown to a velvet black Alessandra Rich evening gown with ostrich feathers. They always do a great job. Would recommend! read more

I cannot say enough good things about Jerri's. Everyone that works here is super friendly and helpful - it's a delight to work with them and pleasure to enter the store or speak by phone. The business is professional, fast and always deliver. Most importantly, I trust them with my clothes read more

Excellent service and properly dry cleaned garments that justify NYC's high prices for Dry Cleaning

They had one job, which was to do some dry cleaning. Maybe they send it out, I don't know. But they did an absolutely lousy job. So I complain. So they told me to pound sand. So all I can say is that if they do a good job, fine, you're ok. But if they mess up, which happens to all of us----watch out. Me, I would "watch out" by avoiding these people but maybe that is just me. read more

I was looking for a new Wash & Fold in the Greenwich area because my old place as of recently started shrinking my clothes after every wash. I found Jerri's, and the process was really easy to call them and schedule their free pick-up/delivery! I also was able to call and explain the issue with shrinkage from my old wash & fold, and they wrote a note on my laundry to cold wash & low heat dry to avoid any further shrinkage, which I immensely appreciated. As a new customer I wasn't 100% sure how their same-day service worked, but if you call late enough one day then they will deliver your clothes around 6PM the following day -- otherwise if you call earlier/closer to when they open, it should be available same-day. For pricing -- Wash & Fold is $1.79/lb, and then extra if you want specialty items like bathmats, blankets, bedding, etc... washed. Usually it's common there is an extra cost, but theirs seems to be a flat rate based on item -- so I was almost charged $16 extra for my super small/light throw blanket to be washed. But I called and they were kind enough to remove the charge as a new client who didn't know, so I was very thankful for that (and posting here so others are mindful in the future!) If you have specialty items you need washed, just be sure to ask about pricing in advance so you're aware! Otherwise I'm incredibly satisfied with the service -- my laundry turned out great, no shrinkage, and their customer service was excellent & they really took care to answer all of my questions & needs! I haven't used any of their other services, but in terms of wash & fold I was incredibly happy! read more

Brought in a jacket to have the sleeve shortened. They just cut down on the length without adjusting the position of the buttons, which made it look retarded. Actually it would have been better for them to adjust it at the shoulder, as moving the buttons was tough. Anyway, the guy got completely nasty when I raised the issue, admitted that it looked awful but he didn't care less. He said that I should "take it to court." What a jerk. P.S. I just wandered by here and saw some of the more recent reviews since I wrote this one. Same high prices, same jerk owner. I see some guy brought by 25 pounds of clothes that Jerri's lost, and the owner refused to reimburse him and told him to "hire a lawyer." I'm amazed these apes are still in business. read more

MIRACLE WORKERS I stupidly spilled red wine all over my (expensive) white dress and the next day frantically searched for the best cleaners in NYC for stains, landing on Jerri's. Two days later I came to pick up my dress (which btw is dry clean only) expecting the stain to still be there, but - THEY GOT THE STAIN OUT. The dress looks brand new. I was so relieved and am so so happy. You guys are definitely the best in the city - thank you so much. read more

I have tried multiple laundromats throughout West Village and Chelsea, and Jerri's is by far the best. I dropped my laundry off the day before a flight out of NYC - I was leaving at 6 am the next morning, and I needed that laundry for my trip. I poorly timed my day, and returned to Jerri's after they had already closed. I emailed their generic info@ email address to see if there was any way they could get me the laundry (not expecting a response) -- no one who works at Jerri's lives nearby, but Christian got back to my email promptly and offered to (and did) meet me at Jerri's at 10 pm to open the store and give me my laundry! I was and am shocked at what amazing service they offer. Beyond this, they always pick up and drop off my laundry free of charge, and have never lost any of my laundry. Jerri's is the best. read more

these people can fold like nobody's business. AND they pick up and drop off the laundry at my apartment!

Jerri's is the number one cleaner in the West Village, and maybe even the entire city. Christian and his team are incredibly fast, professional, and major experts at everything they do. They take an interest in making sure your needs are met, whether dealing with wedding gear, bedding, or day to day shirts. Best place and would trust them with anything! read more

I can not recommend Jerri's enough! After another dry cleaner lost 10 of my shirts i brought my remaining 6 in a need to have them in 12 hours for my thanksgiving holiday. Jerri's delivered (literally) just in time on a Saturday perfectly. Thank you guys so much !! read more

As you can see below, the owner is abusive, insulting and still refuses to take any accountability for losing my clothes. It's now been over two months since he lost my clothes and I'm still waiting for his insurance company to settle the issue with me. Patronize his business at your own risk. read more

Jerri's actually got me so miffed at paying for laundry I actually went out and bought an apartment sized washer! So I guess I owe them a thank you for that. I hit my regular wash and fold joint a while ago and was already late for work when I saw the signed taped to the door saying "back soon". What's "soon"? So I walked across the street to Jerri's: it looked a little fancier, but hey, it's wash and fold; the prices can't be THAT different, can they? Oh, no. Check the bill I got when I picked it up. Two average bags of laundry! http://nakedsponge.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/08/laundrybill.jpg Yeah, that's right; a total of SIXTY DOLLARS to do two bags! a THIRTEEN DOLLAR CHARGE to hang-dry some jeans and a couple of shirts! A TEN DOLLAR SURCHARGE to wash a BATHMAT! "oh sir", says the guy when I wave the bill under his nose and ask in the politest possible way "wtf is this". "we'd never wash your bathmat with your regular clothes". No, of course, you wouldn't want something my feet have touched mixed up with my boxer shorts, which have spent the entire day sitting next to my BOTTOM. That would be horrible! I put the god damned bath mat IN WITH the socks and boxers thinking they'd get done in a seperate load. You know, since they were all WHITE? Did you get that big hint? No no, they picked the bathmat OUT of my specifically arranged bag and gave it the regal treatment. Shit, for ten bucks, I hope it got a "happy ending" while it was in there. Can you imagine washing your bathmat with your socks? The horror! I'm sure they do a lovely job doing suits and mink coats and what the hell ever, but after paying sixty bucks to wash some jeans, a few shirts and a god damned bath mat, I broke down, went to JR, and bought myself one of those Haier portable washers. Best 200 bucks I ever spent! I heartily recommend you break free of the tyranny of the wash and fold racket and get one yourself! Hang the stuff while you're at work and it's dry when you get home. No brainer. SIXTY DOLLARS!!!! read more

I've only brought two items there. One was a dress and they wanted to charge $15 to dry clean. When I saw the price, I told them thanks but I'll find another place and sure enough they reduced the price. I guess they just charge as much as possible until you fuss. I don't know how anyone can afford to bring their clothes here on a regular basis, I sure can't. read more

The owner's response is inaccurate and inapposite. My family and I will never patronize this establishment again and will advise all of our Greenwich Village friends and acquaintances to avoid this consumer-unfriendly business. Please note that the proprietor does not address the serious consumer problems of the shop's customer, who preceded me, or the substance of my complaint. Instead, he has chosen to focus on my justified anger, which was provoked by this establishment's attempt to extract an outrageous charge from a customer. Again, there are many capable and ethical cleaning and alteration shops in Greenwich Village to take your clothing to. Learn from my problem with Jerri's, as well as the problem with this establishment incurred by the previous customer, and go elsewhere. read more

I agree that the price is a little higher than places in the area, but I rely on these guys for stains that my regular, lower-priced, dry cleaner doesn't get out. Jerri's is also good about taking something back a 2nd time and trying to get the stain out, and their delivery is pretty reliable. My advice is to take your regular, non-stained items to your regular place, and go to Jerri's for the real stains, since their prices are a little high. read more

I have been going to Jerri's Cleaners for over 20 years and they are the best cleaner by far. You always receive a friendly greeting when you enter and you are also treated with respect, which can be rare these days. They do their very best to have your clothes cleaned and ready as quickly as possible. If I need a garment quickly, they always try to accommodate my request. I count on Jerri's Cleaners for all of my dry cleaning needs! read more

BEST DRY CLEANER IN NEW YORK they removed a stain that I never thought would be removed - they are quick and easy with pick up and drop off for wash and fold laundry - the list goes on and on. I love Jerris cleaners and highly recommend. Such a kind and professional team. Thank you!!! read more

Far and away the best dry cleaners in the neighborhood. Really nice team and consistent work. No lost or damaged in 6 years going

This is a love letter to Jerri's cleaners: I have never found another cleaner ANYWHERE that can get stains out the way Mike can. In the past, other cleaners have told me something couldn't be done without even trying to work on it. Mike has never refused to try to get a stain out, even though he often cautions me that it may not be possible. In 90% of the cases, the stains, with his excellent attention to detail, come out! Where they don't, I know there's no point taking the garment elsewhere because, if he can't get it out, it surely won't come out. Mike is the sultan of stain removal...and the best! I can't recommend Mike and the excellent staff at Jerri's enough. Aside from removing stains, they are courteous, competent and prompt with deliveries. Thank you Mike and Jerri's!!! I will always remain a loyal customer. read more

One of the worst tailors in the city. I brought four shirts in to be shorted and a simple dart... all four shirts were ruined. Uneven sleeve length, too short, too tight... in my whole life I have never been more appalled my how bad of a job they did. They charge 58 dollars per shirt for some of the worst work I've ever seen. If you care about your clothes DO NOT GO TO THIS TAILOR. read more

I'm frankly surprised at the bad reviews. I've been going to Jerri's for years and my experience has been overwhelmingly positive. I cannot think of one negative thing to say about the place or the people who work there. I've always been treated courteously and respectfully and have never had any significant problem with any laundry, dry cleaning or tailoring. Jerris' staff is friendly and hardworking! Keep up the good work. read more

Unprofessional. I brought them a stain with a shirt on it. When I picked it up a few days later it had an even bigger stain on it. When I brought it back to them their attempt to remove it failed and the shirt it ruined. Unprofessional aspects: 1. Did not mention the stain or apologize for it when I picked it up. 2. Claimed they did not make the stain bigger (inferring it was my fault). 3. At no point offer an apology or store credit. read more

yeah OK, not the cheapest cleaners in town. They charge 20 cents more per pound for wash and fold than other places do. But you know what, those other places do not have free delivery AND you have to separate whites and colors. If you are a color blind lazy ass bastard who likes to dump dirty clothes in a hamper and have'em delivered in a nice little cube shaped clean bundle of joy to your stratosphere apt., then Jerri's is the way to go. read more

Great service .... great quality. They really care about providing exceptional service.

Jerri's is a great dry cleaners. The owners are always on the premises and they've had the same staff for years. It is pricier than others BUT they delivery quality cleaning. If you have expensive clothes that require extra care than Jerri's is the place to go. They are the only cleaners I'll bring my Prada suits to, and that's saying a lot! read more

I love these guys! They have lightning-fast delivery and pick-up, but the best part is going to the storefront and seeing these guys in person. So friendly, when I have to leave New York, it's my peeps at Jerri's that I miss the most! They handle my special requirements with friendliness, and even keep my personal detergent on hand in the store. The alterations were great too. They altered my David Bowie blue suit which I wore in the New York Marathon! I ran 5 hours in a perfectly tailored suit thanks to Jerri's. A special shout-out to Victor. You rock! :-) read more

To sum this place up in one word, TERRIBLE. They will ruin your clothes and then try to blame you for their mistakes. They seek to live in a world with no accountability. Someone should take them to task. PS I don't know what Barbara B. is talking about. Their track record with stains is shoddy. read more

First of all, this is not a bad review of the dry cleaners. They have always been kind, honest, and fair-priced. The tailor evidently is a separate business, and as has been mentioned before, is so overpriced as to induce instant nausea. I made the mistake of not looking at the price and only later noticed he'd charged higher than the maximum listed for the (simple) procedure. If price is no object, go ahead. After I left the store (with my unaltered garment) another customer ran up to me to ask what had happened. Turned out she had had the exact experience a few weeks earlier. I am all for a fair wage, but greed is no excuse for overcharging. read more

i have been in the west village for over 25 yrs I love jerri`s ..they are fantastic !!! i spend time out of the neighborhood but when i have tailoring work to be done i come in to jerri`s , why ???? they are the best . last week i brought in a suit jacket that was torn , i had it made in Italy and thought it was beyond repair ... picked it up yesterday .. perfect... also my favorite old Burberry tweed coats was literally coming apart at the seams ... like new (with the comfort of an old friend ) they have done dry cleaning for me for years ... pick up delivery never a problem , nothing ever lost , on my way there now to see if they can restore my tux ... hats off to Jerri`s Edward Taylor read more

I've been going to Jerri's for years. Best dry cleaners in the business. Professional and hard working guys. Can't recommend them enough.

I was reminded again today why these guys are the best. I brought in 7 different pieces with almost 7 different problems (ring around the collar, a variety of food stains, mystery stains, odors, a pullled thread, strange misshapen shoulders from my attempt at home laundering) and when I got home tonight, everything was PERFECT. I feel like I have just fallen in love with my wardrobe again. No need to go on a spring shopping spree. Total win. read more

I've been going to Jerri's for the past 2 years and have never had a problem. They've always treated my clothes with the best care and have always tailored my clothes perfectly. I've moved out of the neighborhood now and now I'm on the hunt for another cleaners that's as good as jerri's. read more

My family has been using them for years and we have always been pleased with their service. I was even more impressed recently when I brought them my favorite shirt which had pen stains all over it. I had put my top in my bag and unbeknownst to me, there was a leaky black pen in my bag. It bled all over my beige top. I brought the top to Jerri's and asked them to try to get the many stains out, although I figured it was hopeless. I picked up my top yesterday and was in awe/shock to see that my top looked like new. I don't know how they did it, but I am so grateful and impressed. Thank you Jerri's! read more
