The house itself has been very well maintained. We were the only guests in the main house that night, so we had the whole house to ourselves. They left out snacks and drinks for us, left the lights on, and unlocked the doors, as we arrived well after the check in time. We were in the master suite, which had a king sized bed with a sleep number mattress. Awesome! Plenty of space in the room to make ourselves comfortable. The bathroom was big with a separate toilet area. Also, I'm a sucker for clawfoot tubs. It was a very charming room to spend a night in. We had a vegetarian breakfast the following morning, which consisted of scrambled eggs, stuffed French toast, fresh fruit, coffee, and juice. All very delicious! Lastly, this place is pet friendly and close to restaurants and shops! If you're ever in town, please check this place out!

Needless to say, we did not opt to pay the additional fee for something that should be included in the price. If they are going to call this a bed and breakfast, guests shouldn't have to pay extra for breakfast. Also, the owners have a child, or possibly children, who made it difficult for us to sleep. This is because we could hear screaming, banging and pounding above us, well after 10:00 P.M. each night. We did not experience peaceful sleep any of the nights we stayed. Finally, even though the binder that the owners put together with guest information states that our room will be tidied up daily, it was only done three of the four days we stayed. They skipped a day for some reason and we weren't informed about it ahead of time. Will not stay or recommend this to anyone.

My last event there I did hand the bartender a $20 but received change for a $10 and she was adamant that I had only given her a $10 though my 2 $20s were now down to one. I didn't want to ruin the ball for everyone around so I decided to not make a scene. But that really left a bad taste in my mouth. I have attended the Sunday Brunch. The price was steep considering the mimosas were around $9 each. Seriously, I am in the middle of nowhere- I would expect a much more affordable drink when the brunch is already over $30. The brunch was fine though. I will not be attending brunch again.

Recently while in the Biloxi/Gulf Coast area I did just that and stayed at Chateau Blessy and it was an EXCELLENT choice. The owners, Walter and Katherine, made me feel like I was at home and apart of their family. Chateau Blessey like most properties on the Gulf Coast received damage from Katrina, however was one of the only that survived. The history the owners shared was wonderful as well as the overall hospitality. If you visit the Biloxi/Gulport, MS area, either for business or pleasure, and do not stay at Chateau Blessy you are missing a wonderful experience.
